Save yourself a lot of money and headaches by going with ANY OTHER manufacturer, beside Solar Edge. This is the worst company in any manufacturing field I have ever dealt with. Their parts are made of garbage and breakdown every 2 years. They refuse to cover the installation with any of their installers so the burden falls on the homeowners to pay hundreds of dollars for reinstallation every year or two. They continue to lie about their parts, they use cheep material that is not sustainable and crap manufacturing processes that cost us tons of money. Do NOT let your installer use Solar Edge parts. I've spent over $20,000 dollars installing a solar system on my house and now every year a Solar Edge part breaks down and I'm on the hook for paying to have it reinstalled. This is the worst investment I've made in my house. Solar is a scam!

System Fault - Great Support
I had a fault with the system and support team at SolarEdge in particular Swaroop who was incredibly efficient testing and fault finding immediately and now have a replacement already. No Hassle at all.
Solar Edge Account Transfer Form simply does not work, so as new owner of a home with a Solar Edge system, it is completely useless to us
I bought a home with a Solar Edge system installed. There is a Solar Edge website to transfer account from the old home owner to the new home owner, but frustratingly the website transfer form simply does not work, it freezes and unable to submit the transfer form request. I have emailed Solar Edge support repeatedly over a period of 3 months to get help and customer support is Solar Edge has not bothered to respond for 3 months. Save yourself the expense and hassle and buy solar products from a different company that bothers to support its customers. Totally unacceptable.
Solar Edge customer support -- if you are reading this, you can do a lot better than this for your customers! My case number is 6237233

Terrible service
We installed a battery just before Christmas and it isn’t working properly. There are no lights working on the battery and we don’t draw power at night from the battery. We have spoken with them many times and all we are told is that it has been escalated. I don’t know what this means but we get no other answers. Instead of saving money it is costing us money and we are at the stage of returning it and want a refund.
UPDATE Solar edge were looking into my review and we have heard nothing, can’t even reply to us! They approved a replacement battery 8 days ago and told us it would be delivered to our installer within 6 to 8 days. We have heard nothing and called today only to be told there were no batteries available in stock. Not sure where the battery went that was being sent as a replacement. So far we have had two power bills since we’ve had the battery and guess what, no change in our costs. NOT HAPPY.

Efficient and effective chatbot troubleshooting
I contacted SolarEdge via their chatbot - they gave expert support for the problem I had including steps we could take at home to reboot the battery/inverter system, and they carried out some remote fixes. The end result was that the system is now operating correctly. They even detected some out of date firmware which they updated while they were troubleshooting the fault.
Great Support
Although we didn't resolve the issue, as it requires further steps to be resolved, I received solid support from Meghana, guiding me through the process I need to follow.

Support issues with inverter monitoring
This is a company which certainly doesn’t care about any technical support. On the 19th of November 2025 they made a change on their end which caused production problems on my 2 inverters. After contacting an installer who came on site production was restored but now I have monitoring problems which I never had before. Their support is not acceptable. On 1 inverter the communication via wifi goes on and off. I think this is a warranty problem. The installer charged me Aus$550, which should be paid by Solaredge because they created the problems in the first place

First of all you can't talk to people…stay away from this company!
First of all you can't talk to people they force you to a chatbot, then some person out of the USA. I have a bad piece of equipment, Solaredge keeps sending the wrong equipment out, this has been going on for over a month. I finally was able to talk to a person with no ability to transfer me to a supervisor or manager. I have lost over 2K in solar and service fee's to have my system fixed only to find out the manufacturer cant send the correct inverter to me. Horrible service, they dont care about your experience or system. USE SOMEONE ELSE TO SAVE YOURSELF ANY ISSUES LATER ON!
