I wish zero was an option

I wish zero was an option. I’ve messaged three times to get their generic reply saying I’ll be contacted in 24 business hours but it’s been weeks! My friend got me a £30 gift card, scratched the code and it’s barely visible so we can’t use it as we can’t tell all the numbers and letters! I have proof of purchase etc and would like to use the card.

No customer service and duff codes

I was gifted a £30 card , scratched the code off but could not redeem online. I have emailed the company x4 . Obtain a generic reply each time but no further response to resolve this. Terrible customer service and selling cards that don't work. Lost £30.

£90 expired voucher in lockdown, not replaced

We had £90 of vouchers we intended to use however due to lockdown they restaurants were all closed. When they reopened we looked to use our vouchers to find they had expired. We have contacted Socialchoice to ask them to help by either extending or issuing new vouchers. They initially responded saying they were always available to use. Clearly they couldn’t be used during lockdown. They have now stopped responding to my emails asking them to explain how it is fair they have £90 of our money and we have had nothing back either in vouchers or refunds.

Unable to use card in 2020!

Was bought a Social Choice card for Christmas 2019. Obviously couldn't use the card last year (2020) due to lockdown and COVID. I contacted them via email to query the expiry date. They simply advised that the card had expired and refer to their T&C's.
Certainly wouldn't recommend anyone buying!

This is a con

This is a con. I was given a Social Choice gift card for a Father's Day present. Couldn't redeem it with the code revealed, however, one of the digits was unclear after scratching off to reveal so contacted Social Choice to query code. Was given a reply confirming code ... tried again with this code to be told card inactive. No way to redeem. Is this whole thing a scam?

Terrible Terrible Company!

Terrible terrible company! Was bought a Social Choice card for Christmas 2019. Obviously couldn't use the card last year (2020) due to lockdown and when I contacted them via email, they basically said 'tough luck'. Shocking customer service!
Haven't had the heart to tell the friend who bought it, that I was unable to redeem it and that they wasted their money!
Do NOT purchase!

Absolutely awful, thieving company

Please stay away from this rip off company. I received a gift card last February then Covid hit and nothing was open and restaurants weren't accepting gift cards for takeaway.
I contacted Socialchoice and they said tough, their service was working (ie, they'd issue a voucher code but you couldn't spend it) go away. I lost £30.
Don't go anywhere near them. You'll lose money.

BEWARE

BEWARE - this company is just money grabbing!! I was unable to redeem my gift card for the experience I wanted and realised I might be near the expiry date (I missed it by 9 days) but felt due to the exceptional year we have had that they would understand and honour the £30 that had been paid BUT NO!!! They just replied to the email with basically tough. Other companies, John Lewis, B&M. London Attractions have been wonderful but this one is not

Expired card

Been unable to use the card this year due to the pandemic. I didn’t want to claim the card with a restaurant when all business’ are currently at risk of going into administration. I tried to redeem our card- it says expired. I contacted someone at social choice in the hope that I would be given at extension on the expiry date considering the year it’s been! But no I got a reply saying card can’t be used! What a joke! Won’t buy one of these again- such a shame that it’s money down the drain when everything is having a tough year

I hope I made someone happy with this purchase because it did not make me or the recipient happy at all.

What a joke, 3 months after purchasing, they say you can redeem for a full year, I cannot redeem this for what I want. On their website you can even see in the header an image of the product showing items that you can no longer redeem to. I have contacted them via email and received nothing back.

I am now forced to use it on mediocre products I would never usually experience or want to experience. What a disappointing and stressful display. The worst thing is the minimum buy in was £30. I hope I made someone happy with this purchase because it did not make me or the recipient happy at all.

I am sure they are 'within their rights' based on terms and conditions but what a horrible way of conducting business. Very anti-consumer, was meant to be a nice get whatever you want present but now I feel awkward for getting someone a present that barely functions and I'd imagine they feel like I am a cheap skate.

Thanks Social Choice.
