We’ve used Snow Express for 3 return journeys. The journey has gone smoothly each time, usually arriving within minutes of the timetable. The drivers are all lovely, and the seats are as comfortable as can be expected. It’s much more convenient and lower stress than flying
I left a kindle on a recent coach and Dave kindly returned it to me.

We used the snow express for our trip to valmorel in Feb half term. I’ve tried just about every method of transport to the alps and the snow express came out on top for me!

Super comfortable coach well equipped with toilet and charge ports. Drivers were nice and friendly. We had some delays which were out of the drivers control but we were always kept informed of what was going on. Even getting a text when the bus was late getting us at Moûtiers meaning we didn’t have to wait outside.

Would definitely recommend for an easy, affordable and stress free journey to the Alps!

I have used Snow Express many times to get to the Alps including Tignes, Val D'isere, Val Thorens and La Plagne. They and their partner firm Action Outdoors are a first class outfit. Nice coaches and an easy check in process. Booking and communication by email and text is a breeze. Where necessary in the case of mountain transfers the team always book you onto the right transfer, on occasion making amendments in real time to reflect where the coach is in France. Would recommend.

I was traveling from London to Middlesbrough in megha bus but we need change coach from Leeds to Middlesbrough as just for 1 hour I was feeling too relaxed while traveling with the snow express.

Dave Manley and the team were very accommodating, went to la plagne in March, l changed the destination and pick up point, no issue, above and beyond with help, amazing communication and felt looked after on the trip. Just used the snow express from London to La Plagne France spent a week there.
Very good communication from the start from the company and faultless journey from start to finish.
The coach is comfortable, far beyond my expectations, the power points at each seat very useful reclining seats made the overnight trip easier to sleep etc.
Enough stops to make things comfortable if needed the onboard loo was very clean and usable which was reassuring.
Importantly the staff and drivers were all very helpful and professional and this is always a sign of a great service my thanks to them for a great trip.
The pick up point is very convenient for connecting to from London Victoria train or coach station. Its only a short walk to Colonnade walk where the snow express is located.
Far easier than an airport for me on this occasion as the link service from Aime la plagne took me direct to resort so no additional transfer needed to be arranged by me.
So the price is also very good considering I took all my stuff skis and kit on the coach within the limits with no drama, no having to pay an airline extras if I had booked myself for flights there and back.
If you are booking your own holiday and need an easy transport option I'd recommend snow express for sure and I will use again i have no doubt.

First time travelling with Snow Express and it was a comfortable, genuine stress-free experience. The drivers and team they have onboard for the sections of journey were very polite and friendly. We had a small hiccup with timings at the start of the return journey but everything was communicated quickly and efficiently.
If/When I travel to the alps again within the winter, this will for sure be my first preference as it worked out FAR cheaper than catching a flight, paying for baggage, arranging a transfer etc. If you're not worried about sitting on a comfortable coach for a few extra hours than that of a plane, its a no-brainer.

It is a stress free way to travel to the Alps and quite comfortable.

Booking was very straightforward and when we found we needed to change our departure from London to Folkstone this was also managed simply and efficiently. The coach was comfortable and the journey kept to its advertised schedule.

I have been travelling with Snow Express back and forth to the snow for 10 years. I wouldn't want to go any other way.
Their method is the most stress-free - just get on in London and off in the Alps; excellent for varying amounts of luggage: the most environmentally friendly; and I always feel safe and very well looked after by the lovely drivers, which is important for a mid-seventies granny!!
Thank you Snow Express for such an excellent service, even in sometimes difficult circumstances which are out of your hands...

I don't like leaving a 1* review and I have tried to resolve this with the company. We were 18 hours delayed (16 hours of this the fault of Port of Dover), so two nights on the bus, but Snow Express will not pay out any compensation. I suggested that they should seek compensation themselves from Port of Dover/the ferry companies as we can't do that ourselves because we didn't make the booking with the ferry company. Communication from Snow Express during the overnight delay was pretty much non-existent.

We were then not told we would have to wait two hours at Moutiers for onward transfers for those guests, otherwise we would have booked an onward taxi for our own party. When I asked the drivers how long we would be stopped at Moutiers, they were downright rude to me and refused to tell me!
The bus was pretty uncomfortable, perhaps not surprising with 60 full seats, and not like the one on the website. (I have done other overnight buses to the Alps several times before and usually sleep v well.) Oh, and it doesn't have wifi, even though the website says it does.

My children got told off by a driver on the return journey for sitting in the wrong seats, even though we all sat where we'd been told to by the other driver! We didn't understand why one family was allowed to reserve seats anyway when we'd asked in advance and been told we couldn't!

To find some plus sides: the first set of drivers were very nice indeed and Snow Express did go to the trouble of sending out an extra bus for our return in case the outbound bus got stuck at Dover.

The timings are very convenient, the drivers friendly and helpful, the seats comfortable enough (if not exactly luxurious in terms of leg and elbow room; it is a coach, after all) and even if only half full, SO much 'greener' than flying, with all its undignified waiting, queuing, etc. So, it's good for the conscience and the self-esteem.

Comfortable coach, clean and on time. Enjoyed the journey, quiet over night. Booking was easy and staff really helpful! Can’t wait to go again, hopefully next year!

Very low hassle when compared to flying, once you are on your coach you don't have to worry about transfers with baggage, which can get really cumbersome with skis + suitcases.

Obviously a good price. Decently comfortable seats + okay leg room for a 6ft2 person, nothing crazy but there were a few cm between my knees and the seat in front. "Luxury" seems a bit of a stretch, but fine nonetheless.

Given that it travels over night, sleeping for a few hours should be feasible and makes the journey go by quick enough - the coach was plenty quiet and dark and even though I usually cannot sleep on transport, I slept okay here.

I couldn't get the WiFi to work properly on either leg (nor could others) which was a minor frustration for me as my data plan is comprehensive, but I imagine for others this would be a problem.

I have already recommended it to friends who have since travelled this way, and I will definitely consider it again. The lack of stress vs flying and all the transfer nightmares that occur with it are huge.

The booking system was easy to use and we got e mail updates closer to the time of the trip. The coach drivers were friendly, and also funny. We had a breakfast stop on the way to stretch our legs and get to chill. The coach itself had WiFi and plugs. As comfortable as a long coach trip can be. Thank you

The bus took us right to the heart of Tignes. It was comfortable and I slept well on the over night part.

I was looking for a way to get to the French Alps without flying and decided to take a punt on the coach because it was much simpler than trying to work out train connections (not to mention cheaper). Staff were friendly, the coach was clean and comfortable, stops en route were sensible and my fellow passengers were friendly and considerate (probably the most important part of an overnight coach trip!) When I booked the journey my mindset was "how bad can it be?" but having done it, I'd definitely book with Snow Express again.

With the need to reduce flights, this is a great low-emission way to travel to the alps. Hassle free and very convenient!
The bus drivers were also incredibly friendly and made the whole journey alot more enjoyable.
