Terrible. Worse than terrible
Terrible. Do not use. The rudest person I have ever spoken to on the phone. Customer of mine booked them through Anyvan. Wouldn't use either company. You have been warned.
Disgusting approach to customers
Found this company through AnyVan (called EasMoves on their site) where they claim to have perfect feedback. It's a lie. I left negative feedback and it was deleted.
Reading trustpilot at least made me realise I was not alone as they were treated me disgustingly for someone who paid them nearly £5k. The owner was rude, insulting and ultimately lost an irreplaceable & expensive item.
The owner of the company, Andy, was who I had email correspondence with:
- They made an error on collection and Andy blamed my wife and accused her of lying despite not being present at collection
- He added an unjustifiable sum of money after collecting our items
- He accused me of trying to avoid payment (i paid immediately after this accusation for fear of loss or damaged goods)
After delivery, I realised they did not deliver an item they collected directly from storage. Andy treated me like an idiot on the phone and email saying I either didn't put it on the truck or they delivered it.
He refuses to understand or acknowledge they collected direct from storage and that obviously it is not with the items they delivered, otherwise why would I waste my time complaining to someone so truly awful.
Still trying to complain through AnyVan, they are not helping much, despite recommending this god awful company!

NOW YOU KNOW WHAT YOU ARE ALL DEALING WITH!"
I have written to this firm and I have emailed them - I note someone else in this fourm who has had no response to the issues that they raised. The ROOT CAUSE of the issue was SmartMovers not informing Any Van of the update to the Delivery Address:
Booked through Smartmovers to move my Grandad's (who died at Christmas) beloved piano - not only was this a very expensive piano, it had sentimental connections as it was my Grandfather's pride and joy. Originally the delivery address, given by my uncle was my postal address, which he corrected to my home address - 66 miles from Grandad. They collected at 1230 hours and I estimated a delivery by 1430 hours latest. By 1500 hours they had not turned up and so I contacted 'Andy' who it turns out is the 'gangmaster' - who denied any responsibility for contacting me the previous day to confirm delivery, denied any knowledge that they were collecting the piano and indeed delivering it to me. I then phoned Smartmovers at 1600 hours who promised to call back in 10 minutes - they did not. I rang again and was buffeted by a female operative who said the chap I had been speaking to was busy and would call back. I waited 20 minutes no call back. I spoke to the bloke who said that they admitted responsibility for giving the WRONG delivery address to Any Van and he didn't know where they were or worse still where my piano was. I asked to speak to their management, he told me they didn't have a number, they just used instant messaging - utter rubbish and I told him so. I told him to message and get them to phone me today, urgently - no one did. NOTICE on their web site - no area for open and transparent feedback - filtered for great responses!! Eventually the van driver called me and told me they were 150 miles away from the delivery location and would arrive at 1900 hours. Three very large men eventually arrived at 2045 hours to my home, which is out in the countryside, with few houses nearby - in the pitch black, having had heated discussions with the van driver and his 'gang master' I was now a lone female, with no help, dealing with three very large men in the pitch black of night.
Completely and utterly unimpressed by Smartmovers who have failed to respond to my messages via their website, who have not returned monies owed (they quoted for a 300 mile journey and it was a 120 mile journey) and there has been no apology from their utterly diabolical service. Take my advice, get a renowned moving company - family business of PROFESSIONAL movers, not sub contracted out to people desperate for work. The 'gang master' was an utter d*** as well and left his blokes high and dry. The van driver and his two mates had to put £60 in the van at their own expense due to collossal errors made by Smartmovers and Any Van. I have to wait one more week whilst the piano settles to see what damage has been caused by these unprofessional charlatans.

Excellent stress-free move
Can't fault them. They packed, dismantled, drove 280 miles, unpacked and rebuilt in a day. Fast, tidy and professional
Sideboard 7 Foot and metal florr standidng Lamp
Smartmovers turned up on the time they advised and the two guys were very efficient and courteous. I would definitely use this company again and found them very reliable to deal with.
Piano Move
Needed a heavy upright piano moving from flat to house. From start to finish this company was organised, good communication, helpful. Job completed on time, smoothly and professionally. Spot on service. Highly recommended.
great lads
All the lads who work for smartmovers are much better than any other moving company I have used. They are trustworthy, considerate, careful and quite capable of doing even the most difficult jobs with ease. I have used them for years and have never found a problem with their moving skills.
A great job by Smartmovers!
Smart movers were great for this job. Two very pleasant, polite and professional chaps turned up at the agreed time. They worked hard but carefully to load all our furniture onto the van and then set off on 1332 mile journey which they completed amazingly quickly. All our furniture arrived safely and we had no breakages. Would definitely use them again. 10 out of 10!!
Timing of pickup wrong - dispatcher became abusive when this was pointed out.
I wouldn't recommend for pickup & delivery of ebay/preloved items etc.
The guys who did the delivery were great but the dispatcher (Andy) caused me quite a headache. Pickup was arranged from a London shop for after 10 am (via email, and I got it confirmed) - then on the day I got messages at 9:40 saying why was the shop not open? When I texted back to say there had been a mistake because the shop was only open from 10am, I got told "we'll wait until 10:05". Ouch!
I called and spoke to this guy Andy and said this was a bit harsh as it's less than the difference in the usual error in the time between people's watches! He got very snarly real fast and threatened to cancel the pickup repeating again and again about how it would affect the rest of the day. I only wanted them to wait a few minutes more... He was adamant I was unreasonable because 'a British company would not wait one minute!'.
Nice. I was not the one who had made the mistake of getting there early and that's what I had to hear. Wow.
Fortunately I was able to get hold of the shop owner - who was just round the corner.
But that wasn't the end of it. Second problem: pickup was on a Monday - and I had been told that delivery would be arranged with me on Monday - for another day. Then I then got told it would be delivered on the same day. I then had to arrange to stay home at the last minute.
So not a great experience, no. But the guys who actually did the lifting - they were great.
The dispatcher however - worst attitude I've met in years. I get the impression he needs to take his meds more regularly. And he screwed up the timing of both pickup and delivery, causing me quite a few problems with work.
