Not a good experience so far
Not a good experience so far. I understand bands have to start somewhere but I've heard far better busking on the streets of Dublin. Should you wish to fill your time typing about music genres they ask you to review that had no relevance to the ones you chose in the sign up survey....knock yourself out. I got $0.13 paid to my slice the pie account for 3 reviews each of about 30-40 words because they were not my kind of music and I had little constructive to say about them.
You have to listen to at lease 90 seconds of the song before you submit a review and cannot paste your review to the website. I thought I would save time typing the review on a word doc while listening and then copy/paste when i was done, but it does not allow this. So, if you are not at 70-80 words per minute, this could be a difficult way to earn extra cash with any speed.
So disappointing that this website just upholds pimping an industry standard.
I'm so incredibly disappointed by this site trying to solicit higher ratings.. I've spent the last hour reviewing songs and made 5 cents. And I always give an honest critique. I start with the opening and speak on vocal ability and openness as well as the overall song. Are there highs and lows? Or is the entire song just attacking a crescendo that doesn't work? Do you pounce on the vocals? And does it sound harmonious with the music? Is there flow and artistic style? I've been a musician for 2 decades and a classicly trained singer for longer. I've judged international vocal competitions and I know that the feedback you give an artist helps them grow and develop their talent. I believe in the honesty necessary to advance a performer's career. This is why I'm so disappointed that feeding into an industry standard makes you more money, but does nothing to better the artist. As an artist, I find this incredibly disheartening.

Nice website to earn money.
I think students who want to manage their expenses, can earn some money by listening to music and giving reviews.
Please don't bother.
This company is for dupes who are willing to have a window chiseled into their psyche for pennies per hour.
How people have made $10 in one hour…
How people have made $10 in one hour I'll never know. You must listen to a song for at least 90 seconds before you can submit a review and I earned $0.04 per song. So, even if you listened and reviewed songs constantly every 90 seconds back to back for an hour (which is highly unlikely), that's 40 songs reviewed, and at $0.04 per song that amounts to a whopping $1.60. For writing 40 reviews!
The site works well and is easy to use, but it's just not worth your valuable time.
DONT WASTE YOUR TIME!
DONT WASTE YOUR TIME!! Promise your regret it. I tested it out for over an hour and I cards $0.46! yes $0.46! You get paid for surveys and you never know what they are looking for to take the survey. Each survey you spent time answering the "qualifying" questions and they just tell you at the end "sorry you dont qualify" and pay you $.01 for your time. You review the songs it's making you listen to a song for a min amount of time and then write a review with min chatacer requirement and answer questions. all for $0.03! It's a waste of time. You can make more money doing nothing. Literally.
Not AT ALL worth the time commitment
Not AT ALL worth the time commitment. $0.01 for 1.5 to 2 minutes of my time is not worth bothering with. Seriously I could get paid more in a sweatshop in Singapore.
VERY WEIRD AND RANDOM SITE
I signed up to this site 18 months ago and have been consistent in using it. I've found it to be so random in every way possible, as I'll explain. After writing some music reviews and video concept reviews, my star rating went from one to four stars in only a few days. That's your quality rating which allegedly means that you get paid more per review, the better your rating. This isn't the case though, as payments turned out to be quite random for about the first six months.
For the last year or so, my rating has been at three stars and I don't know why, it's never improved since. I've received warnings because my music reviews are too harsh, but that's because the vast majority of music is absolute garbage. There's absolutely no quality control or approval system of what gets reviewed. Literally as long as it's an audio file and someone's paid for it, it will be up for review. I've had to review a few minutes of silence, the most random noises, people shouting into their smartphones, someone bashing random notes on a keyboard like a toddler, anything goes. That's the music review section where anyone can submit independently. Other than reviewing, you have to rate the song out of ten and then say yes or no, whether you'd add it to a playlist or not. The other type of music review is of songs presumably submitted from major record companies or promotional companies on behalf of signed artists. You have to pointlessly rate various characteristics out of ten which mostly don't apply to music. That's instead of the playlist question. Probably about 75% of all music on this site is hip hop which I can't stand, it mostly all sounds the same. Country features a lot, and so does US rock. This completely defeats the object of me having to answer which genres I like the most when I first signed up, as I've rarely heard any music that I've liked. Also I often get the same songs repeated, somehow.
Other review categories are sometimes available, and this is especially when it gets random. There's always been the empty categories of fashion, mobile and homeware. I don't know why they're displayed because I've never seen any reviews available under those categories. There are the reoccurring video concepts. In the earlier days I had to review photos of actors (half of them were random snapshots of people). I had to say what I thought of them without any context. I kept getting the same photos over and over again. Then some videos appeared but they were totally random, also without context and the same few videos repeated with equally randomly added music. For the last year there have been seven abstract photos on constant rotation. One of them is a snapshot of swimming pool water taken from above. You do actually watch a video file with the same audio played three times. That can be literally any sound or perhaps music from old TV or radio adverts, and often the photos and audio are interchanged. It couldn't be any more random but someone is consistently paying for these reviews even though I can't see how this AI generated nonsense relates to the real world of TV or film. The trouble is that these types of reviews always pay a lot more than the music reviews, and lately there's hardly been any music to review anyway.
Other types of reviews have been well known brand logos and audio brand logos which I've generally rated highly for their professional quality, but again I don't see the point, although they've usually paid the highest rewards.
Occasionally there have been research opportunities in my inbox which are supposed to pay the highest but I've never been paid for any of those.
What I also find annoying on regular reviews is that these automated warnings come up telling me that my reviews are starting to sound repetitive (go figure!) or more commonly that my reviews aren't specific enough. I've found this to be something that I think just comes up every now and then just as a random spot check. What usually helps with music reviews is to mention enough musical instruments but sometimes I still get pulled up, and there's often no way to get past the review other than to reload the page. Unfortunately lately this has changed to happening on almost every review for some reason, so that's another thing that's making me not want to bother with this site again, as it's not worth my time, as well as paying less and less for each review.
Technically it's quite a poor site. I've often not been able to submit reviews, and it's impossible to access the top menu options in Google Chrome. I have to use Safari to redeem money. Minimum payout is $10 and it's paid on the nearest Tuesday or Thursday which has never failed, but in the first place, there was no way of confirming my Paypal address. Luckily I signed up with the same same address and that was good enough.
Anyway I'm done with it now!
Complete SCAM
After I completed $10 and made a withdrawal, they locked my account. They didn't even respond my mails. ""Your account has been locked because you have been accessing the site through a proxy server which has demonstrated fraudulent activity""- This is all I got from them. Completely waste of time. Don't use this site, be aware.

Very fraudulent.
Very fraudulent.
It started off good. I was able to withdraw $10. However, when I continued to grind, pouring lots of time in, I got an error message saying, "Your account has been locked because you have been accessing the site through a proxy server which has demonstrated fraudulent activity." I have no idea what a proxy server is, so I do not even use it.
