Since Skype paired with teams its not working worth crap, it is awful format and was so easy and better back then when just skype..stop using it now ever since...

Very bad service after the update no need anymore

I used Skype for years, paying for international calls. I had about $9 left in my account when MicroShaft turned it off and moved it to Teams, giving me no way that I could find to get my remaining $ back. f this company. I use Google Voice instead and pay a similar amount, about $.01 to .05 per min depending on the country I need to call (very rarely, maybe twice a month).

Skype have changed their format leaving existing account holders no way of claiming their existing credit,AVOID

Not like the merge of skype to team. Microsoft team is not reliable and not simple as like skype.

I have been a user of Skype for long time but I don't like to stop their service. I missed the old skype!

i think we are witnessign the end of skype era, yes, it is still doing a fine job connection people, but it already lags in services...zoom will overtake it

if I could give a ciro I would - I received an email by Skype recently saying I can reactivate my credit by simply just signing in. Skype was taken over by Microsoft and it is impossible to reactivate my credit

Since Microsoft get a hold of Skype, I faced everything bad from cheating, sudden price increase for unjustified reason. I was a customer of Skype for years but they took away my number just because they were closing down but they didn't allow to transfer my number because their Teams software is useless and lack important features. Even after upgrading, it was not showing call option or number management to my country while I was using it with Skype for years.
Short lesson, don't trust Microsoft at all. If they buy something, then start finding an alternative of that service before it is too late.

I have £8.82 in my Skype account and I got in touch with Microsoft support and they blamed Apple Pay for refund and I got in touch with Apple Pay they said they only transacted the money but the recipient Skype / and or Microsoft support should handle this issue and it has nothing to do with my refund. SO IN SUMMARY MICROSOFT MADE SURE THEY GOT AWAY WITH MY MONEY £8.82 on technical matters . VERY UNFAIR

Years ago I signed up for Skype as an alternative phone service. while I seldom used it I did maintain a blanch. I just learned that Skype had been discontinued and replaced with Teams which does not work for me. Microsoft refuses to return the money I have deposited with them. I would have to go to sell claims court but they won't even connect me with their law office.

After years using a Skype number for personal and meaningful connections, Microsoft’s abrupt shutdown—with minimal notice and poor support—has left me disconnected and disappointed. Teams is no replacement. Porting to a new provider has taken months, largely due to Microsoft’s mishandling.

If this is the future of Microsoft’s communication strategy, I’m not on board. Transparency, support, and a viable alternative should have been the bare minimum. #SkypeShutdown #MicrosoftFeedback

Skype should be removed from authorized apps. It “deactivated”!!!! My remaining minutes and payments after a few months. The technical failures are surely unbelievable.

The same as everybody else is reporting. MS/Skype are stealing my money and offers no means of contacting them or getting my Skype credit back. If I did something like that, I'd find myself in a criminal court. I've had it with these entitled, dishonest and privileged American corporations. I'm abandoning Windows and MS Office, if possible, and moving my PCs and laptops to Linux, using LibreOffice or a similar alternative as soon as I can.

MS closed down Skype on May 5. I had considerable credit on Skype for making calls when my O2 phone disconnected. Now I've lost that credit. Multiply that by millions of ex-Skype users and thats a massive criminal fraud by MS.

An emotion ending in 5th of May 2025. You have been the best for Business communication app for us since 2010 when we started using the Skype app for the first time. We will miss you Skype.

MICROSOFT ADVERTISES "SEAMLESS" its transfer from Skype to Teams.
It's a long and frustrated experience not worth the $$ that I am loosing. Microsoft can add my dollars to their $181.715 Gross Profit in 2024 over 2023. A 14.28% increase.
