Sadly had a very negative experience.
The clinic is hard to find, buried inside a random building and badly signposted within.
I was made to wait 30-40 mins, then had the luxury of being given maybe 5 minutes of time?
Makes a lot more sense in hindsight now as i was clearly being rushed through the appointment as fast as humanly possible with the bare minimum advice or help, or response to my prepared questions, in order to catch up on how behind the clinic was & how many people were waiting. I got the overwhelming feeling that i was being ushered out of the door within 2 minutes of being in the appointment also. I was not informed there would also be a second person stood over me the entire appointment. Not entirely sure what that was for. Incredibly invasive and was not aware of this.
If i didn’t research heavily beforehand I would've gotten absolutely nothing out of this appointment. I probably got maybe 10-20% of the help i needed & had to suggest my own treatment & prescription. Baffling. I was then given barely any instruction on basic application use. When? At what time? What will it look like? What should i expect? I had to suggest all of this to her. Upon research this is a strong treatment and i literally had to suggest taking it at night, once a day. I legitimately felt like i was being judged, given half an answer which i had to then ask further and prompt relentlessly to get a slither of information. I have gotten far more comprehensive advice and protocol from a 2 minute chatgpt conversation.
The prescription i received is also nowhere near sufficient amount & is deemed clinically unsafe and dangerous to use once opened after 2-3 days. Im being instructed to use 4 sachets over 6 weeks….. work that one out. Extremely concerning. The box comes in 16 sachets amounts and i was only deemed to need 4 apparently which makes no mathematical sense either way. Guess my case wasn’t severe enough to be taken seriously in hindsight & was unlucky enough to go on the worst day maybe?
I also got conflicting information in the appointment at one point. I got an extremely brief explanation of “other options “ when I specifically asked twice and I still don't understand anything i got told in this brief encounter. I have no idea on what i would do if this doesn’t work ( when i can actually start the treatment that is ) and i have no idea on side effects, next steps, next level of severity of treatment, timescales. Anything.
I was then prescribed an amount that appears to be 1/4 of the amount i needed according to the NHS, pharmacy, chatgpt & other medical websites.
Guessing that’s part of the racket to force me back and pay for more? As my case will deemed “serious enough “ then and i get the privilege of paying more.
I was also held in some random room for 10 minutes on my own post appointment then the second lady who was stood watching the entire appointment gave me some sort’ve performative debrief? Guessing thats to create the illusion there was some sort of advice or service given. I still don't quite understand what happened that day, the whole experience was bizarre.
I still don't have my correct prescription & haven’t had a call back about it from the clinic and have had to chase the pharmacy to get it.
I was also late getting back to my car and had to sprint to it as I had ran out of parking by 10 minutes due to being held in the clinic for almost an hour extra, somehow avoided a parking ticket.
The whole experience was jarring, invasive, lacked any privacy, got 2/10 level of “help” or “expertise” and i feel slighted. I legitimately just wanted some basic advice, answers to my questions and a prescription suggestion as there is no other way to get this treatment or something similar. I left embarrassed, rushed, over £250 down & legitimately demoralised. Made me certain i will never use a private clinic again & found the whole experience to be odd.
I hate leaving complaints but this still isn’t resolved & its dawning on me how dangerous this could be so I haven’t even been able to begin my treatment. Not only am i no further forward, im now at least 2 steps back, demoralised & feeling slightly foolish that i thought this would actually help. Overwhelming sense that i’ve been worked here.
Maybe i was very unlucky and got taken advantage of circumstantially, but either way it was a brutal experience and would urge others to avoid or deal with it yourself as bad as that sounds.
SK:N customer since 2014 and seen various practitioners over the years. Recently rejoined for some top-up sessions in Bridgewater Clinic where I was treated by lovely and extremely professional Milisa.
Had my most recent appointment yesterday at the new Manchester city centre clinic in a fabulous brand new space and Milisa was extremely patient and thorough.
She will undoubtedly be my laser practitioner going forwards due to sheer professionalism.
The SKN clinic in Chester has been great. My most recent sessions were on my thighs. Before having the laser, the hair was really thick and shaving would cause iritation. After 8 sessions my usually thick hair has thinned and softened considerably.
Katrina and her team have been great. Very friendly and chatty.
Strongly recommend SKN in Chester.
Aine is the best in Brighton! Professional, friendly and made my hair laser removal process so relaxing. Highly recommend.

I had such a lovely experience at my post hair review with Alivia at Bournemouth clinic. She was friendly, professional and really took the time to listen. I felt completely comfortable asking questions and appreciated how knowledgeable and attentive she was. I left feeling confident and excited for my hair journey. Thank you, Alivia for making the consultation such a positive experience!
Had my microneedling done with Milisa at the Manchester clinic today and she was lovely. Really friendly, explained everything as she went and made sure I was comfortable the whole way through. Didn’t feel rushed at all. Already booked in for my next session.
I just finished my laser course with Jodat at the Clapham branch and wanted to say how wonderful she has been. Each session she cares about my progress and makes me feel at ease and comfortable. She always makes me feel welcome as she is smiley and friendly and she also makes sure I leave happy with the treatment. If you go to sk:n in Clapham be sure to ask for Jodat!😊

I attended the Liverpool Clinic. Parneet and Victoria were lovely. They explained everything really simply and we also had a laugh! Which settled my nerves. Id highly recommend going here. Facilities were really clean and modern. I was in and out within 40 minutes I think, after having the consultation and treatment. Id highly recommend. Thanks again Parneet and Victoria

I had an overall positive experience with Harley Street SKN. I found the team very welcoming and I always felt safe and comfortable during my visits. The clinic was clean and sanitary, which was reassuring, and the staff were friendly and professional.
The only issue I experienced was with booking and rebooking appointments at times. Aside from that, I was happy with the care and service I received and had a positive experience overall.

I’ve always had a really great experience at the Lavender Hill Clinic. Jodet is a real professional, and really cares about her clients. Always really friendly and accommodating. I would really recommend her. I’ve felt a real improvement in my skin as well, I started with the hydrafacials and moved to the salicylic acid peels, which have really improved my acne.
