SIXT is the best car rental I've encountered

I was at SFO waiting in a line for Budget that seemed never ending. I looked over and saw SIXT (never seen before) and got out of line and walked to the counter. I was greeted with a smile and explained my situation. The man said not a problem, took my ID and CC. He advised I should download the app, but would not need for this transaction. He found me a new Equinox for the 4days. He handed me the contract and advised me to go down stairs. I was at his counter less than 10mins. I went down stairs where I was greeted by a young woman who walked me to the car. She was so pleasant and friendly. When I returned the car, I was again greeted with a smile, the man got my bag out of the back for me and showed me which way to go.SIXT was a little more expensive than Budget, but so worth it! I have since downloaded the APP and will be using them moving forward!

It was the BEST ever experience I've…

It was the BEST ever experience I've ever had with renting a car at the airport. The clerk was very polite and helpful. The car was brought to me. the car was clean and it was very easy to return!! The will be the only one I use in the future. I have been contracted to teach 10 more classes in Georgia through 2027 and I will use Sixt every time.

Arrogant Manager at Studio City

My first experience in studio city was not pleasant due to the arrogant manager there however Amber ensured that everything went smoothly afterwards.
My second experience was at Ft
Lauderdale airport where the representative was not particularly keen on assisting however Ahmed made the transition very smoothly the next day. Overall my experience was ok thanks to Amber and Ahmed . Renting was easy via Expedia and the Sixt App. Return was also easy

Premium Car Rental Service with Strong Company Backing it Up

After trying Turo a few times to get into luxury rental vehicles and dealing with a few hassles, once I experienced my first customer to owner vehicle (existing tire damage) issue - I've been renting from SIXT almost exclusively for the past couple of years.

Upon rolling out their "skip the line" vehicle pickup process, I'm even more hooked. The app guided me from the airport (SFO), via AirTrain, to the rental agency, down to the garage, to the car, into the car - keys were in the cupholder. I adjusted all the driver aids and was well on my way in minutes. (Well, I couldn't easily find my vehicle as I didn't have my glasses on and misread the stall number to which a friendly SIXT staff member showed the error of my ways and showed me to the car)

Vehicle was extremely low mileage, spotless, and a joy to drive. Check in was just as fast as check out! I'm gonna keep coming back!

I always value the quality of the…

I always value the quality of the vehicles I rent from SIXT. The service was excellent, especially from Ken during the return process. I’ll definitely be renting from them again!

Excellent customer service

Excellent customer service. Absolutely seamless in and out experience at the Bayswater site. The staff were just so helpful, and our initial reservation was for a petrol vehicle, they got us into a hybrid which saved us a fortune on petrol for very little extra.
Their vehicle itself was spotlessly maintained, had excellent very grippy Yokohama tyres and drove like a dream.
We were extremely pleased with our experience at SIXT and will definitely be return customers

I always rent at Sixt

I always rent at Sixt. Staff are so friendly and knowledgeable every time. Tried the link to enable me to go directly to the pick up counter. Really easy and time saving. The pick up staff were all very helpful. Great experience and a brand new car to the bargain!

Lisbon: Sixt Poor Vehicle Condition and Unfair Damage Claim — Very Concerning Experience

This experience raises serious concerns about both vehicle condition standards and the way damage claims are handled.

The Audi Q3 provided (~60,000 km) was already in visibly worn condition, with multiple scratches and dents present at pickup. At highway speeds (~120 km/h), the vehicle also exhibited noticeable vibration, which is not what I would expect from a premium rental company.

At pickup in Lisbon Airport, the lighting conditions were insufficient to reasonably document every existing imperfection, especially on a vehicle with extensive prior damage. This creates a clear risk for customers when the baseline condition is not properly recorded.

At return, I was informed that “new” scratches had been identified in an area where visible pre-existing damage already existed. I had taken photos at pickup clearly documenting this same area, and even the staff on site acknowledged that the damage could have been pre-existing.

Despite this, I later received a damage claim based on a post-rental inspection. Such inspections only document the condition at return and do not establish when the damage occurred.

This process places an unfair burden on customers to prove they did not cause pre-existing damage, resulting in unnecessary time, stress, and effort.

I have rented from Sixt many times over the years in Europe and chose them again on this trip despite higher cost. This experience is very disappointing.

I strongly recommend that future customers take detailed photos and videos at pickup — or reconsider renting under these conditions.

Smooth operation at a fair price.

I chose them after several hours search. I wanted a complex solution incl. rental and insurance. I got it from Sixt with a small amount of deposit at the start of the rental period. The handover was smooth, the office is located close enough and the car was clean and reliable.

Great first experience with Sixt

Great first experience with Sixt. I'm Hertz Presidents Circle and National Emerald Exec but have been frustrated often of late so i gave it a try. Very competitive rate on a premium car, even with 30k miles on it it was very clean and ran right. Pickup was easy, and drop off the same - staff was delightful on both ends
