Avoid!
Simple storage held our belongings for 8 months, in between house moves. Unfortunately they experienced a flood and the majority of our stuff was damaged. They neglected to inform us of this problem and the first we knew of it was when the removal men (who'd recommended Simple Storage) tried to deliver our damaged items to our new house. We had 3 damaged mattresses (two were still wet!), 3 suitcases full of clothes still damp and several boxes had clearly been repacked by Simple Storage as they contained other peoples belongings as well as our own. On top of that we had items broken and missing from our boxes. We were promised that someone from Simple Storage would come and dispose of the damaged items but after 5 months (and us paying for our own skip to get rid of most of the damaged stuff) we still have the mattresses in our garage. In total over £11,000 worth of damage was caused, but Simple Storage's insurance policy only paid out £2,500 (even though their cover was for £7k). Stuart, the manager, was easy to contact and tried to be helpful but had no authority and insisted on us speaking to one of the Directors Mr Panesar, who avoided our calls and basically hid from the issue. Based on this experience I'd never use Simple Storage ever again, and will be avoiding all of Mr Panesars other 'companies' in the future.
