I honestly cannot fault them

I honestly cannot fault them, they have become my go to company. I recommended they stock some brands and they did. They do a huge mix of products for EVERY crafter, not just card making. I live in the UK and get my orders from Simon Says Stamp before most of the UK craft companies I have ordered from.
I place and order with them monthly and never had a problem with anything, i don't get the negative reviews.

I had a very bad experience with them

I had a very bad experience with them. I ordered a product twice by mistake. I realised it the next day. I emailed them to replace one duplicate order for another product. Both are same priced. But I got a reply saying that they have cancelled my duplicate order and unfortunately they cannot add the product I asked for. The next day I got a message from PayPal that I have got a partial refund for the duplicate. I am just wondering after reading the reviews, if they can replace items without the customer consent why can’t they make small change in my order with my convent. I’m really upset and I would rate their customer service with negative points. And they say my order has been shipped and when I track my order it shows PROCESSING..there is no transparency and totally not customer friendly

This company has no organization or…

This company has no organization or real customer service. Shop elsewhere. 8 days since order placed, 8 days since they charged me in full, 3 phone calls and still order is not shipped. Today the excuse from Abby was that she didn't know what the delay was because her computer wouldn't load my order. If I could give negative stars I would.

POOR SUPPLY AND INVENTORY CONTROL

Very Slow shipping anymore. Also must get ONE or TWO of each product they sell.... as 90 % time the product is "OUT OF STOCK". Another thing is that they have poor inventory control . You would think that when a customer orders a product and pays, immediately that product would come off their inventory and they would be able to then pack and ship ...NOOOOOO...if you order and pay for an item you wait and wait for a shipping date and then when you check the product again , it will say "Out of Stock" and you have to often wait 2-3 weeks for the product that WAS in stock when you ordered and paid to again be "In stock ".....This is very poor service and monitoring of inventory .Simon Says Stamp ....PLEASE pay someone GOOD to set up a better website with # in stock and inventory control of all products.

After many years, no longer a SSS customer.

I placed an Order (all items were in stock) on March 7, on March 20th I emailed SSS asking about my order. I received a reply that they would speak to the technical dept. and see what was holding up the order. On the 23rd, still nothing so I emailed again. Didn't hear back by the 26th so I called and (all reps. were busy, had to leave a message.) I finally received a reply to the email from the 23rd on the 26th saying they figured out the problem and my order had been shipped - wasn't actually shipped, just a shipping label was created. I never did receive a call back from the message I left. I knew they had slow shipping, have been ordering from them for years but this was the last straw. Last year the excuse was that they were upgrading their system so things should be better. I have now found other sources for most things, most shipping within 24 hours of order placed or at least 48 hours. I don't expect them to be like Amazon. I will miss their exclusive items but can live without them. The crazy part to me is that the paying customers wait weeks for the products that their influencers hawk on their youtube channels. I understand the need for the exposure of the products. But if they can get it to them weeks in advance for them to advertise it, why can't they get it to the paying customers sooner than 2-4 weeks or more. The crazier part is that I have read on NUMEROUS message boards, facebook, etc. that a HUGE number of people have the same issues with SSS and will no longer buy from them. I would think SSS would find a way to fix the shipping issues and keep customers but they don't seem to care. This also might seem narrow-minded but I have lost a little respect for the influencers that seem to know about the problems but continue to influence for them because they are receiving free product and money.

I wish there were zero stars because…

I wish there were zero stars because their satisfaction doesn’t deserve a single star. I placed an order on March 4th, it still says processing. I ordered an adorable stamp for a baby shower. Now I am forced to order something else from somewhere else because there is no way I will receive my stamp from them in time. I called twice, always say they are busy helping other customers, I’ve left messages, so far they have not returned my calls. .

UPDATED - from 2 stars to 5+

It was a not so great first experience. They charged my credit card promptly enough but the shipping was so slow that I emailed the company and they responded with "we had a big sale, and that made things go slow." First, I don't want to hear about a sale I paid full price thank you! Two, not your customer's issue that you had a sale, hire more people for your sales so your shipments can get out in a timely manner. STILL in shock that I had to pay to ship an order over $100. (Probably my last order) No follow up from the team but a too bad so sad for you response. When the package did arrive it was in TERRIBLE shape. They shoved all my items in a USPS envelope and it was crushed in my mailbox. It really needed to be in a BOX!! Especially since I paid for the shipping. One of the stamp sets I ordered was bent. I haven't heard back from the company on this... I have learned a lesson. I really wanted to love this company, but I don't think I will shop there again.

UPDATE They made good! I have since become a very loyal and frequent shopper! I forgot about this review and am so sad I didn't update it sooner! The response was swift after I sent another email. Discovered the issue and I can't say enough about how great this company is....

Buyer Beware - the good, bad, and ugly....

I've been shopping with Simon Says Stamp for a little over a year. I've made more than 20 purchases during that time. Overall, I rated them poor although I do acknowledge that there are some positives. I do most of my shopping online, and now, retailers are getting compared to the speed of amazon, or accustomed to free shipping for purchases over a certain dollar amount, or just amazing packaging and friendly customer service associated with small retailers online like Etsy. Simon Says Stamp consistently misses the mark on shipping and personalized service. Here are my thoughts:

The Good: Quality products offered, really nice (large and varied) selection of products; lots of bloggers use/recommend them, so they are easy to use after being inspired by those crafty card makers online. The monthly kit is a good value, and they don't automatically deduct it, so you have a chance to decide whether or not you want the kit before being charged. Prices are usually decent, but you'll often pay more at simon says stamp than if you go straight to the source (like Mama Elephant's website), so you just have to do a little homework. Nice project examples are often offered with the item for sale on their page. Informative blog. You can usually find a $5.00 off coupon, which you are going to need to offset shipping (see "The Ugly" below.) Cute exclusive Simon Says Stamp releases that are nice quality.

The Bad: They will not ship your products for 3-4 business days. Every time. So, don't order anything you need quickly. They certainly aren't Amazon. They will never send it out in a day or two - even if you ask. It doesn't matter if you buy one thing or multiple things. It doesn't matter if it's your first order or your 20th. They simply aren't moving faster. You can't cancel your order or change it if you make a mistake, and they don't take returns. Again, it does not matter if you've spent over $1000 with them or $10. It's just not happening. Overall, the lack of returns or any ability to modify your order makes shopping here not really customer friendly when compared to other retailers. The claim I've usually heard is that they simply can't accomodate those requests. Well, that is an internal business problem - not the customer's problem. SSS makes it the customer's problem. As a result, I've decided to buy from other retailers whenever possible. But honestly, some things are hard to find and SSS usually has them.

The Ugly: Shipping is way too expensive. If you buy one stamp set which can't cost more than $3.00 to ship in the US, they are going to charge you $7.00. Every time. Might be more if you are shipping to Canada. If you were paying the extra money for handling, I could see that. But honestly, they don't "handle" anything in a very timely manner (see above). And, they will pretty much throw $250 worth of merchandise in a bubble envelope and send it to you. Seriously. No box. No protection. Just all crammed in there - glue and all. And you hope it doesn't squish out. I once had a glitter explosion in an envelope. Kits are, however, mailed in a box. As mentioned above, it will take 3-4 business days to get your product out the door. I do appreciate that it has consistently been 3-4 days for me. At least I know what to expect now. But, the premium shipping costs definitely aren't justified as frankly, the "handling" (time and packaging) sucks really bad. You are not getting the "super personalized small business packaging and customer service" offered by Etsy retailers. There is no "free shipping for orders over $60" or something like that. You can use your $5 off coupon to offset these gouging shipping costs.

Also, careful about the kits. They will bait and switch you. They have this quaint little, "if the product is out of stock, they can replace it with another product" clause, but they'll replace it even if the product is in stock. Basically, they send you an item that ISN'T as popular or flying off the shelves. But, they get you to fork up the cash based on the super cute photo of what you are supposed to get. And, remember, no returns. Again, this doesn't matter if you purchased the kit literally within an hour of release or 3 days later. You might get a substitution for something that's in stock. Regardless, the kits are a good value. But when you email them to say "hey what's up? this item is in stock! So, I shouldn't have gotten a substitution." They basically say, "thanks for letting us know. You good?" No explanation. No apology. Just yep. Thanks. I'm serious. That's the response. I took the time to write. Do you think it's all good? They *should* send the product that was photo'd and mentioned AND in stock. But they won't. Customers shouldn't have to argue or make a case to a retailer about getting what was purchased in the first place when it's clearly in stock. And, yep, it was in stock - it wasn't a typo or a mistake. I ordered two separately, and they are being shipped here - in a bubble envelope no doubt.

Ultimately, this is a retailer that doesn't REALLY care about customer experience. They have cute exclusive products and great selection and a lot of bloggers that probably get their stuff from them for free and don't realize how sub par the customer service experience is, so they get lots of free advertisement in the crafting community. But, the shipping, packaging and customer service is not the greatest. Hoping that Ellen Hutson beefs up their inventory so I can get all my stuff from them. :)

Once again I should have never ordered …

Once again I should have never ordered from this idiotic company. All the bloggers love them because they are getting commission from their crafts they show with simon says stamp products. I can guarantee their products arrive overnight at no cost so they can continue to sell for them. For us measly people? They could literally give a crap. I order on January 15. Apparently Heidi doesn’t have any help because she has been at Creativation showcasing her stuff after taking my money for product that still shows as processing. Maybe she will get to it after she gets back from
Phoenix. They literally do not care. We all need to stop paying for their products. I probably won’t get my shipment for another week and a half. What a rip off company

Simon Says Stamps need to give better customer service

I love the products Simon Says sells, but I have to agree with other customers who have given bad ratings on this site. I placed an order with them two weeks ago. I made sure nothing I ordered was out of stock, just as others have stated they did and my order says it is still processing. They have already taken the money out of my account though. This makes me not want to order from them in the future. I even placed an order with Amazon last week, after this order with Simon Says, and those products have already come. If Simon Says wants to keep their customers, they really need to step up their customer service. I am fine with waiting a bit, but I would like to know why it is taking so long.

I wish I had read all these reviews …

I wish I had read all these reviews before I ordered or requested a gift card for Christmas! I just placed my first order 10 days ago and when I went to the website to check the status of my order it said "processing". So I sent an email to customer service wondering why after 10 days the status is processing instead of showing a shipped date. I checked before placing the order and none of the items were out of stock. What I got was an email back that started with... "thank you for shopping with us!" Obviously an automatic response. First of all, did you not read how upset I was about wondering what happened to my order? Then they said they would check with their technicians to see why is still processing and they would get back to me. 2 days later I still haven't heard back! I'm very frustrated and very disappointed because they do have some great items, which I agree with some of these reviews, they show out of stock minutes after that have been released. This I'm sure will be the last time I will order from them. There are way too many other great companies I can order from!

Frustrated Crafter

I’ve been ordering from SSS for a few years now. It seems like either they have gotten too big and need extra help or they just don’t care what the customer thinks. I love their exclusive stamps and dies; not so much their inks. Every time new products are released and you go to order the product it’s usually out of stock. I mean, come on, releasing Christmas dies in December and they are out of stock moments after released. By they time they are back in stock Christmas will be over. I used to to have a subscription for their monthly card kits, which saves the member around $5. I found that the kits would arrive much faster when I didn’t have a subscription than they did when I subscribed. Plus the kits have not been that good this past year. Very sad because they do have some great products. They are very slow on shipping. Most companies have lower shipping rates and my orders arrive within one or two days regular mail. I hope they get it together soon.

Echoing everyone else's posts - bad experience

Echoing everyone else's posts. I placed an order, they charge $7 for shipping. 10 days later the order was still not processed and I had to fight tooth and nail to cancel the order because I couldn't wait for weeks to receive it. They wouldn't work with me to cancel it saying it was too late in the process (even though it kept processing for days afterwards), so I ending up having to argue through my credit card company, pretty crappy experience. Honestly if you can buy the products anywhere else (ebay, other vendors, etc., I recommend you do). SSS makes no effort to apologize for any of its poor service.

SLOW shipping, unapologetic customer service

Placed an order October 23. Contacted customer services October 31 after order still had not been shipped. They looked into it "November 1"
Order was not shipped until November 6th.

This is not the first time I've had poor customer service and slow shipping. I will not be purchasing from Simon says stamp again!

I placed an order on 10/17 and never …

I placed an order on 10/17 and never received it. I placed another order on Oct. 27th and asked that my orders be combined and the shipping for one of them refunded. They said there was no way they could accommodate this. On Oct. 31st after three attempts at trying to get some estimation of when the items would ship, and hearing from customer service, only that they had upgraded their system and were experiencing delays, I cancelled my two orders. It took several days to get a refund for my orders. They charged my card before shipping which is unlike most companies. I resent that Simon Says Stamp is recommended by so many high profile crafters and yet they treat ordinary customers like this. They have a number of exclusive products I like, but it is truly not worth the hassle to order from them. What made it frustrating for me is not that they were experiencing delays but that they made no effort to make it right, including offers of refunds, discounts on shipping, anything that would have indicated they recognize what a big problem this is...for people to pay for a product and never have it delivered. They also did nothing to communicate that they were experiencing delays on their website or when ordering, and yet they knew they had an issue. They still haven't really addressed the issue and until they do I would advise anyone not to order from them.
