Full marks to Sally at the Shrewsbury store who personally fetched finished curtains from the Wrexham store to meet our collection date. Very much appreciated.

An excellent and enjoyable experience. The staff were very helpful in finding me suitable fabric at a price I wanted to pay, and then expert in calculating how much fabric I would need, even saving me money! Definitely will be returning again!

I was served by a lovely lady called Sarah in Shrewsbury store she was very pleasant an knowledgeable she gave me some great ideas and nothing seemed to be too much trouble for her she took the stress out of my decisions I had to make and made my visit very enjoyable

Went to Simon Boyd Chester and ordered 2 kitchen made to measure Blinds and chose some Ready made curtains from store which needed taking up.was told the Blinds would be 4/5weeks and the curtains would be 4/6 weeks.Blinds came on time look great.chased the Curtains up on a few occasions after 6weeks.After week 8 was told they would be ready the following weekend. Went to pick them up from store and were told they hadn’t been altered.This was after 9 weeks. Not good service and will not be shopping at Simon Boyd’s again.

Excellent and knowledgeable customer service , huge range of fabrics. I especially appreciated Sarah’s suggestions and advice on colour and fabric choice.
Would highly recommend.

Called in to the Shrewsbury branch this morning to chose some wallpaper. Although we had an notion of what we wanted, we weren't entirely sure! We really need not have worried because thanks to the lovely and very helpful Chris, we left having a very clear idea indeed. Chris not only took time to show us the various styles and textures, but even recommended choices that would be a great contrast to our intended colour scheme. Chris also ordered a sample of our chosen wallpaper to be sent directly to our home. This is a nice, tidy and well presented shop with friendly, helpful and knowledgeable staff.

Hard to believe some reviews when our experience was so disappointing. Measurements not taken correctly but when we pointed this out we were told to do it ourselves! Persevered as we liked the material only to be told when ordering, they had none left. Weeks and weeks wasted. Was told they would send samples of similar material but it never arrived. More wasted time.

Went to Shrewsbury today and, as ever, the staff were just great. Friendly, helpful and kind. One (quite lovely) lady there can also explain the basics of Salsa dancing! Highly recommended.

Thank you to Sandra from the Shrewsbury branch who went the extra mile for us. The fabric we chose wouldn't be back in stock in time for reupholstered sofa. We live miles away & she went out of her way to search for an alternative & get samples sent directly to us.

I have ordered several sets of curtains from Simon Boyd Shrewsbury. All the staff are very helpful, give great advice and are very knowledgeable. Being able to take pattern books home to look at a wide range of designs in the room is absolutely vital and avoids the tedious business of ordering endless samples that are usually too small. They are really busy so we had to wait for them to be made but it was worth it! (and they were exactly to the time they said and as soon as they were ready they got them to me). The icing on the cake was they gave me a huge bag of offcuts for conversion into charity bags and cushion covers - brilliant! Why we shop local.

We placed an order today, for made to measure curtains with Chris from the Shrewsbury store. Brilliant service from all the team. But a special thank you to Chris. It was so pleasant to deal with someone that understood our requirements and offered help when required. This lady really knows her stuff.

They charge nearly £100 to come out and measure, which took less than an hour! That's more expensive than a tradesman for 2 hours...
Came back with a ridiculous quote which I didn't touch.
They are clearly making money on providing quotes they don't need to sell any curtains!!!!

I went to simon Boyd knutsford to look at renewing my curtains and was made really welcome and given all the advice I needed so I bought all my curtains to renew all in my house

I cannot begin to say what fantastic customer service Simon Boyd at Knutsford provide. They are so knowledgeable of all the fabrics they stock and go out of their way to help you. I recently had extremely large curtains made and the pattern matching and sewing could not be faulted in any way. This was during the pandemic and they went out of their way to update me on both the progress of the delivery of the fabric and the actual making of the curtains once it had arrived. They also beat the prices I had been quoted online. I recommend everyone I know to use them.

I was very disappointed with the customer service at the Shrewsbury branch of Simon Boyd. Firstly, the staff member seemed more concerned with unloading the delivery than really listening to what I was looking for, and finding sample books. I arranged for someone to come and measure up for curtains for two rooms (four windows including two patio doors) which they duly did - and then I never heard from them again despite a follow up call asking for the quote. Maybe they didn't want to undertake the job - but they could have been polite enough to let me know.

I rung the Shrewsbury branch today to get some advice on having a seat pad made for our much-loved kitchen bench.
I was advised to make a template of it and bring it in.
Since the bench is 1.6m long I decided I would just do the recess at the end to show the shape and measure the distance between.

Arriving at the store with my neatly cut piece of cardboard I was told it needed to be a template of the entire area! Instead of sending me away, a large piece of brown paper was produced from under the counter and a template using my exact measurements was made there and then.

I was then show to the plethora of fabrics available to have my cushion made from and after at least an hour I settled on the perfect one.

The very helpful staff were then able to call the manufacturer to check the lead time of the fabric and tally up the total cost.

They were very upfront in the costs involved, what was included in the cost and the lead time for the project to be completed.

Simon Boyd's staff are knowledgeable and helpful, and I will definitely be using them again!

Have just collected my fabric and cushions from outside of the Knutsford shop. The whole process was reassuringly COVID secure. Great service from start to finish. Jane, Stuart and the team have always provided a professional, friendly and efficient service when the shop was open to customers, during the lockdown they have continued to offer professional, clear advice on suitability of fabrics and materials along with ‘professional tips of the trade’ for making my own curtains. At this isolating and difficult time it’s really good to have a friendly expert return my call promptly and make time for a bit of light hearted chat.

I have dealt with Simon Boyd over a number of years.
I have always found the staff efficient and charming.
I have benefitted from good advice from Jane who is always extremely professional and friendly and who goes the extra mile to ensure the cushions or fabrics match the original brief..Even during lockdown and in difficult circumstances the telephone service has been the same high standard.

From start to finish the service has been excellent. Even during lockdown the staff return voicemails promptly. Cant wait for the store to be able to reopen , love it there!
