We had booked a trip to Amsterdam last year which was obviously cancelled due to lockdown restrictions. We rebooked for this Easter but yet we are unable to travel due to recent lockdown. This company are refusing to refund us our money & are expecting us to rebook for this year. Totally unprofessional service and company. We are completely disgusted with the treatment we have received.

Unethical Company & CEO Peter Heule - No refund for Coronavirus Cancellation
Short Stay would not provide refund despite Coronavirus making it 100% impossible to even travel to Spain in June. Our reservation was "non-refundable" according to Short Stay. The Company provided voucher for future stay. $1400 is a lot of money to have as a voucher. At time of writing, Americans are not allowed to travel to Europe (for good reason). I found the CEO Peter Heule on Linkedin, emailed him pointing out that obviously Coronavirus made it impossible for us to stay and it was ethically wrong to finance the company's operations on the backs of people who were not able to stay in their apartments due to Coronavirus.
CEO response: "In a crisis it is not only about right and wrong."
Never use this unscrupulous company
Please do not use this company. If you are very unlucky like me you unwittingly book through them as they go under the booking.com . I did not realise they have passed our booking to this company. They are nothing short of criminals. They completely ruined New Years Eve for myself and my husband and our friends when we booked one of their accommodations in Bicester. No key code was sent and we were locked out of the accommodation that we were booked into. When ever we tried the call the manager, Chris, we were made to feel like it was our fault. He made false promises to call us back and never did. At 7pm he then decided to move us to another accommodation. When we expressed concern that we wouldn’t be able to walk to our NYE do from the other accommodation he was uninterested. The following day, after further complaining by myself, he promised a full refund and 2 free nights. This never materialised and it is now 4 weeks on. The messages he sent through booking.com have been removed. Trying to chase this through booking.com is slow and painful as they just refer back to this unscrupulous company who have no intention of honouring their refund.

Shortstay Amsterdam Dapper Market Suites
I have used Short Stay many times. The apartments are always very clean, modern and well-equipped (I like to cook). The information booklet is full of useful information about the apartment's facilities and the local area. It is possible to collect the keys from the airport or from an office in the city, which is very convenient.The Dapper Market apartments are close to public transport, supermarkets and numerous cafes, restaurants and the Dapper street market. I will recommend Short Stay to any visitor.

Buffon museum view - 206. Good for some days in Paris. Great location
The Buffon museum view - 206 apartment is really well communicated - few meters from station Gare d'Austerlitz. Where you can take metro or train and it drives you to everywhere in the city.
The self check-in method was very confortable and useful.
Sofa bed was good. Confortable for two adults to sleep couple of days.
The bathroom is big and it was clean, but is very old. It doesn't have any hanger to hang the towels.
They only left us one small bottle of body gel and champoo for four adults for four days. Also the toilet paper wasn't enough and we had to ask for more.
The light of the bathroom stopped working, but they sent somebody in the day to fix it.
The apartment needs some reformations. The walls of the apartment would need to be painted again.
The neighborhood is quiet, you have small shops and supermarkets near to buy some groceries.
The price of the apartment was quite reasonable.
Excellent experience
Excellent experience. Well maintained accommodation at just the right distance from the centre of the city. Would strongly recommend the accommodation for both business or pleasure. Only small detail is that the instructions for using the oven / other appliances should be re worded to be clearer.

The best location in Paris
The best location in Paris, the appartement is very clean and has everything you need. The communication with short stay went very smooth. Next time we will use the Short Stay again. A good recommendation to all.
Bad experience with your staff
We booked on Booking.com a specific type of room (one bed-room apartment, 25 sqm large according to the room condition specified on Booking) but we received a smaller one (approx 18 sqm). Your staff/manager did not want to settle the issue, moreover the only answer they had was: either you accepted or you leave it! I demanded for compensation of difference btw the price I paid (for a larger one bed-room) and the price for the one I got (smaller one bed-room apartment)
This is unacceptable behaviour from my perspective! I could not even talk to your manager because he simply did not want to!
We also had some issue with your staff concerning the fact that we were accompanied by our children (three children). In room conditions displayed on Booking and your Internet page there is no limitation policy as the children are concerned. Yet this was another issue !

I've read the reply and it does not answer to my demand. Please firrst try to clarify why I did not received the apartment I paid for (25 sqm) but a smaller one for which I paid the same amount. Concerning the number of persons, I arrived along with my wife and my children. The restrictions apply only to the number of adults, not to children. If you would have given me the type of apartment I booked, it would have been no problem , As mentioned before, it seems that you deliberately avoid to give straight answer.. Bottom of line, pls answer to my first question.

There was a water leak in my bathroom but staff reacted very good…
There was a water leak in my bathroom at 23:30, the night before my exam. But the staff reacted very quickly and sent me someone very polite to change my room in just one hour during so the night.
The leak came out from the light bulb of the ceiling because the clients upstairs took a bath. They also noticed a little water leak in their room. But according to the staff, it is supposed to safe because of the breaker. Apart from that everything was okay.

The location was perfect...so easy to get around from there. We hopped on trams and walked all over from that spot. The customer service was very helpful and friendly. The apartment was clean and it was serviced once during the 10 day stay, which was a nice surprise when we came home from a long day. The only issue was the extreme heat and only 2 fans in the whole apartment. We had to go out our first night and buy fans to put in the 2 bedrooms because the heat was unbearable. Surprising, it was not easy to find stores to buy fans. We left the fans for the next guests because it will really improve their experience and the fans were not easy to find. It took us a while to get used to the steep narrow stairs...that might be helpful for people to know just how steep and narrow they are ahead of time. Definitely didn't need to go to the gym but it certainly helped us decide what we planned for the day...whether we planned to come back and forth to the apartment, stay out all day so we didn't have to deal with the stairs too much, how much we drank , and what shoes we were wearing. The apartment set up was really nice for 2 people and the view was lovely. Such a great neighborhood and being above Louie Louie was an easy recognized spot for Ube and cabs.
