I have just finished my NEBOSH course online, the course itself I found interesting and the website was also easy to use.

However, I have just found out that both of the exams needs to be paid for, but I wasn’t aware of this before joining the course. To my understanding I thought we would have to pay an extra fee if we failed the exams on our first attempt.

I think the company should make that extremely clear that we would need to pay an extra £290 in order for us to do both of the exams at the end of the course. The company should have an option to pay for the course fee and exams at the start.

I think the exams should be separated In two parts, once the first section of the course is completed you should then be able to take your first exam. Once you’ve passed part one, you should then move onto the second part of the course and then take the second part of the exam. This is only because we are obtaining allot of information.

I am finding it difficult to now look for an extra £290 to pay for both of my exams. I didn’t get much help from any tutors or received any feedback on how I was doing on the course overall but I did receive feedback after my work was marked at the start of the course.

I have wanted to pursue the NEBOSH IGC certification for years, yet things never really aligned for it to happen. This year in February, I researched institutions and found SHEilds. I reached out and a course advisor named Cameron Lane spoke to me. Not only did he respond but he called me. I explained my circumstances and he gave such sound advice and encouragement. Fast forward to 24-Jun-26 when he messaged me to inform of a 25% discount that was available. He remembered me. He also offered a payment plan, which was a great help. I ruminated in my mind whether to make that sacrifice and then decided yes. I encountered some credit card issues but he was so patient with me and continued to offer guidance and support. As of today 1-Jul-26, I am now enrolled to complete my NEBOSH IGC. I know it won't be an easy journey but one I'm looking forward to with awesome people like Cameron to cheer me on and to guide me through. I am claiming my success. Here I come!

My experience registering for the course was great, from when I expressed interest until I finally registered. Extremely disappointing experience
I rarely leave negative reviews, but I feel people deserve to know about my experience.
I self-funded my NVQ and even paid for a 12-month extension. Throughout that time I submitted work in good faith and did everything that was asked of me. Despite this, I experienced long delays, poor communication and a lack of support. I made several formal complaints but never received a meaningful response, which was incredibly frustrating.
I was also in contact with other learners who described experiences that sounded very similar to mine. While I can't speak on their behalf, it certainly made me feel that my concerns weren't isolated.
What I found particularly disappointing was being told that if I "begged", I might receive a discount if I needed to re-register. Whether it was intended as a joke or not, I found the comment patronising and completely inappropriate given the situation.
In the end, I transferred to another provider and completed my qualification without any issues. The difference in professionalism, communication and support was night and day.
Based on my experience, I cannot recommend this provider.
