I am in the process of clearing out portions of my wardrobe that do not serve me, and I came across many positive reviews for the natural-fiber garments at Sezane. I ordered a good amount from their recent Archives sale (a bit scary having never shopped there before, given these items are non-refundable) and ended up being very pleased with the quality of the wool, leather, and cotton items I ordered. I reached out to them for a few things (scratched leather, missing free gift with order) and they offered me reasonable and helpful solutions to these problems, including a return/refund (despite these items being non-returnable) and store credit. I will continue to shop here if the quality and customer service remains excellent.

I am a regular customer of Sezane online, however my recent experience of returning items has unnerved me.
The usual efficient and incredibly prompt refund service has let me down on this occasion
The delay in receiving the refund for the two items returned feels longer than expected and normal.. and limited update.
I returned the two items from my order in two separate parcels the 1st Theophile Trouser size 10 return parcel
Royal mail Ref ZS216642864GB shows as received by returns warehouse on Wednesday 21st Jan - using the enclosed pre paid label
The second return parcel from this order was sent on 22nd Jan using Royal Mail Special delivery ( £10 plus costs to me I should add - due to the value of the item) and was received on 23rd Jan by your returns warehouse.

So you now have both my items since the 21st and 23rd Jan and I have no update on my refund status..
I have contacted customer service to be told 2-5 working days .... yet this is normally so speedy..
This is a combined value return of £225
I am keen to receive update on my refund ASAP.
A reliable returns service is part of an overall positive shopping experience and I feel let down on this occasion.

Islem was super helpful. I had an issue with my return and didn’t receive a return label, but she was patient, reassuring, and guided me through everything. My item has now arrived at the warehouse, and I’m just waiting for the refund to be processed. It does help to have customer service that’s friendly and responds quickly and helpful. Thank you!

Had given wrong e-mail (person had changed it) and staff came up with excellent solutions to my problem of sending e-mail gift card. My daughter cannot say enough about the excellent quality and durableness of their clothing.

This bag is incredible. I have a bunch of Louis Vuitton bags but I’m kinda loving this one more. I carry all my Louis small goods in it but I don’t have to worry about someone trying to steal my designer bag because they don’t know. The quality is incredible. It’s a perfect bag. am extremely disappointed with how Sezane has handled a situation that was entirely their mistake.
I placed an order worth almost £1,000 and was sent the wrong order, containing items worth a fraction of the price. I had to chase Sezane multiple times just to get a response, which is unacceptable for a company of this size.
What I find most shocking is that Sezane is now holding my paid-for order hostage, insisting that I return the incorrectly sent items before they dispatch what I actually bought. For clarity: I am not legally required to return items that were sent to me in error, yet I have still agreed to return them today in good faith.
Instead of resolving this professionally and promptly, I was offered a £10 voucher — which is frankly insulting for a so-called luxury brand, especially after spending thousands of pounds over the years as a loyal customer. £10 does absolutely nothing to compensate for weeks of inconvenience, stress, and poor treatment.
This entire experience has been disgusting. There has been no urgency, no accountability, and no respect shown to a long-standing customer.
For a brand that prides itself on image and quality, the customer service falls far below acceptable standards. I will seriously reconsider shopping with Sezane again.

If I could give less than one star I would. I received a clearly worn jacket which reeked of perfume, had staining and hairs all over it, and 3 buttons falling off. The offers to repair the situation were unacceptable. They are unwilling to commit to covering the full cost of repair to your item until AFTER you send proof of an invoice, and even then they will only cover up to $100 (it was going to be only $50 until I asked to escalate). For a jacket that costs over $700 that is completely unacceptable.
Their agents will disregard your entire message, refusing all communication based in reality or reason, and will reply with the same cut and paste solutions with a completely dismissive tone. One of them referred to the detached buttons on the jacket I received as "a bit of extra thread". Doesn't matter how much photo evidence you provide.
Essentially, they do not care about maintaining you as a customer. They're a massive company, and they know the next person will happily accept being scammed.
There are other companies who practice MUCH better quality control and offer discounts based on quality of the product received, trusting in the customer instead of demanding proof. Lots that use better quality fabric composition as well (this jacket wasn't even 100% wool for the price).
Edit after they reached out to me: nothing has changed, aside from the fact that they offered me a $50 credit to their store. Which was only offered after I posted this negative review.

My first experience at Sézane was at their pop-up store in Georgetown, Washington, DC, and it left a lasting impression on my heart.
I had just undergone breast surgery following my second breast cancer diagnosis and was shopping for a pink blouse—something uplifting during a very tender time. The sales team took such thoughtful care in helping me choose the Max shirt in pink, which was absolutely perfect.
When I checked out, they surprised me with a candle as a gift for my healing journey. The kindness of that moment overwhelmed me—I cried and hugged them both. It was such a genuine, human gesture that I will never forget.
Since then, I’ve returned to the store every month, partly to see that wonderful team and, of course, to add another beautiful Sézane piece to my wardrobe. They say it’s how people make you feel that you remember most—and this team truly nailed it.
