Everything worked well. More expensive than I expected.

In an age where we throw most things away, it is a real surprise to find a firm that carries out repairs to vintage 35mm film cameras. I am a collector of Nikon 35mm film cameras and equipment including the Nikon F, F2, F3, the Nikkormat range and the FM, FE, and EM series cameras and lenses. I acquired a Series E 70-210 zoom that had a very loose focus and zoom ring which slid back down the barrel if pointed upwards or stored vertically. It is not an easy lens to find in an otherwise mint and boxed as-new condition, so I thought it merited having some work done on it to correct the fault and restore it to its former glory. Although it took two attempts, Andrew did not give up on it, and his team at Sendean fixed it for me, and now it is like a brand new lens. So refreshing to find such craftsmanship and technical skills surviving and indeed, thriving, in a 'throw away' world. Thank you to the Sendean Camera technicians who worked on this for me. I will definitely use your services again.

Excellent service. I purchased two Carl Zeiss Jean a lenses recently and had them maintained by Sendean Cameras. The servicing was excellent, from start to finish, with easy and friendly phone , email and personal contact with reception. The bill included a detailed report in writing about the maintenance work performed by Sendean technicians on these two old and high quality lenses. Sendean work is not cheap but this is what you expect for tested professional high quality service.

I emailed Sendean prior to my short trip to London regarding a fix my camera needed. They accommodated my request gracefully, & when I came to the shop, the staff were very friendly, helpful & coordinated with the technician in order to fix my camera in a very short period of time, given my circumstance.

Dirt on the sensor of a sealed-body camera meant opening up the body for access. The brand's repair service listed the camera model as obsolete, and referred me to third-party repairers. Sendean accepted the job, and I opted for a full service. It wasn't cheap, but for a ten year old camera I use regularly, I thought worthwhile. I've now had a chance to try it in real-life conditions and it feels like new! Sendean were prompt, efficient and excellent. Recommended!

Amazing service and quick turnaround

The team are experts and were able to talk me through the pros and cons of different camera options. They were also able to advise me on where to get my Super8 footage developed and scanned. The service in person, online and over the phone was excellent. The team are friendly and shipped my camera securely and quickly.

This was my first time using Sendean but I was very happy with the service, they repaired my camera and ensured it was ready in time for a special event. It is an expensive process but well worth the cost given the quality of the service and repair.

Courteous and attentive staff at the desk. On taking the equipment for examination and repair quote, they took note of the details of the equipment and the requirements. Written receipt and note of instructions were sent as an e-mail attachment. Repair quote(s) sent by e-mail and instructions to proceed taken over the phone. Confirmation of completion of repair, with invoice sent by e-mail. I appreciated that payment could be settled at time of collection. I was impressed that whenever I phoned, the phone was answered promptly and directly and that on quoting the order number, my name and the equipment were identified very quickly. Overall a very good and speedy service.

Following initial examination of my Nikon D90, I was given repair options and servicing, and the option to not go ahead.
I chose to have it repaired and I'm very happy to have it back in working order.
The only negative is the guarantee only lasts 3 months.
