Sent two laptops, only one paid for
Sent over two laptops. Was paid for one of them, was not paid for the other. Called them about the missed payment, the guy was very evasive. He said I should've received an email & to check my junk mail. I told him I have not, then he spelled out the email I should contact. I have contacted them & still not heard back. This company seems to take laptops then be done with the customer. Wouldn't recommend.
Quote page deceiving
I entered a quote for my working laptop which was £70. However, they emailed saying I lied about the year and that I failed to inform them of a slight crack in the lid (which is fair enough but they didn't even ask specifically if this could be a problem) and as for the year I thought they meant how long I'd owned it not when it was released (how on earth was I meant to know that without them stating). Because of this they offered £10 and because I never answered within two working days (funny really, as it has been longer) apparently it's par terms and conditions that they don't send items back. Ridiculous! I have never come across a company like it in all of my recycling ventures! Avoid like the plague! I am sure there are better companies out there who will be concise and won't leave you to play guessing games! The fact that they have the nerve to call me a liar when in actual fact they never asked is outrageous! I hope they lose business!!!! Well deserved!
Quick and reliable
It took one working week to get the Laptop viewed and the money on my bank. Sadly the laptop had a few issues that I did not mention on the specs. The overall experience was great.
they still haven't paid me
its now been 2 months since I sent them my equipment, and they still haven't paid me!!! I advise you not to use this company

Sell your laptop.co.uk are thief's in disguise.
They made me an offer of £10 for my non-working laptop and promised to credit me after 48 hours of receiving it. They kept urging me through email to send it as my cash is waiting for me. I sent it out to them and after they confirmed that they have received it, they now told me that it was actually a £0 offer that was made to me. Hence they refused crediting my account as agreed earlier and even stopped responding to my emails.

Avoid
Tried to sell two laptops though this website, completed the description choosing pre-set options and obtained a price. Got an email the next day rejecting the laptops for generic reasons that could have been stated on the website. Avoid unless you want your time wasting.
Rude, scammers, robbery
Very rude when emailing. Quoted me a decent price for my laptop, I sent it to them with cable all packaged up accordingly and when they received it they offered me £5!!! The laptop was exactly as I had described to them so they had no reason to offer me such a low price. I asked them to send me my laptop back and when I received it part of my cable was missing. The power pack that coes with a laptop obviously comes in 2 sections, one end that plugs into the laptop and the other end into the wall. I was missing the end that plugged into the wall. When emailing them to complain they simply said when they had received my package it was already damaged which they stated they had already told me, (which they hadn't) I asked them to resend the email which said my package was damaged upon arrival as I never received such email and they simply forwarded me the exact same email stating they had received my parcel but there was no note of it being damaged? Then they proceeded to offer me a new part to my cable at a cost of £7!! More then what they were going to offer me for my laptop!!! So now I am down in money as I cannot sell my laptop without the full cable and they are now refusing to answer my emails and complaints. I would never recommend using this site as they are very cheap and not worth the hassle!!!
Sent 2 working laptops DO NOT USE
Sent 2 working laptops as others have mentioned prices offered were stupidly low against the quotes given. I asked for the laptops tone returned. an acer that was returned is now not working at all and completely useless when it left in perfect working order. Stay along way away from this bunch of robbers!!
sellyourlaptop my review
So i sent my laptop to sellyourlaptop.co.uk....not sell your-laptop or sellyourlaptops. And they give me a price before I sent it off to them and they emailed me a postal slip to my email address I sent it off which was free .parcelforce who are useless lost the parcel and couldn't find it and said I need to contact sellyourlaptop and they need to make a lost claim. After reading other peoples lost claims online it would take months before I was looking to get my money back . I must of sent like 20 emails in all this time to SYLT and they replied to e everyone and didn't mess me about once. So in the end I got a final email from them saying that they will pay me in full today and not to wry as they will sort out the problem on there end . don't use anyone else but this company. And don't ever use parcel force useless #
Crooks
Was quoted £72, sent my 8 year old laptop to them and was told the condition was "less than average" and the quote was reduced to £30. The laptop was barely used, it was in great condition and to describe it as less than average is frankly fraudulent.
I was also advised there was a crack in the base - and was sent an image (after I asked for one) of what could have been any laptop taken from google. Maybe it happened in transit, but it wasn't there when it was shipped.
A really dishonest service from a company who are never going to give the quoted price. Avoid.
Quick and easy
Got a quick and easy quote online for a broken MacBook (£93), placed the buyback order and received the shipping label within 2 hrs. Sent the next day (paid for already by SYL via the label) and received an email confirming they had received it the day after. They later confirmed that my quote of £93 still stood and within 48 hrs of that, I received the money to my Paypal account. So easy!
Daylight Robbery. Sell elsewhere
NB. Writing about Sellyourlaptop.co.uk
These people are basically thieves.
Yes, they'll buy your laptop, and yes, you'll get paid.
BUT... do not expect to get the quote.
Our laptop was in good condition and hit all their listed criteria for good condition.
However, after their inspection, they claimed that the wear to the keyboard was excessive, despite it being fully readable and fully working.
They also claimed that the 'age' of the laptop was defined by the date the first of that model came off the conveyor belt, not the date of purchase as new (receipts provided)
These two things took a £60+ quote down to £26... criminal.
With this in mind I would say go elsewhere, list on eBay, but frankly, don't give your laptop to these guys.

Rejected the buyback order on a working laptop despite stating on the website 'we buy any laptop' Absolute scam, avoid at all costs
Be prepared to have your quote downgraded!
Got a quote of £54 for my laptop which seemed reasonable so I sent it off.
After a few days I got an email saying there were some issues meaning they could only offer £10:
1) keyboard paint finish was "worn" even though all letters and numbers were clearly legible. I could accept this as it was 8 years old but did seem slightly pedantic.
2) pixel damage to screen meaning full replacement required. There were 100% no problems when I sent the laptop which was packaged securely in original box. I have photos to prove this.
Therefore I was offered £10 which I reluctantly accepted. My advice would be not to use this firm but if you do take date and time stamped photos of your item before posting.
I have at least been paid unlike some people on this forum.
