Amazing place to buy furniture.

Leighton who looked after me while I was in your Cardiff Gate Store was very helpful and knowledgeable. He wasnt pushy and allowed me to wander through the store browsing and answering questions I had. He was probably the deciding factor when it came to my choice of store. Also the different furniture that could be matched with the various material available was another deciding factor.

Worst quality for the price and worst after sale service I have ever experienced.

Sales staff are brilliant at their jobs. But it's all downhill after sales.
No transparency regarding the furniture being made exclusively for you, so if it doesn't fit into your room you are charged for it anyway.
If the furniture has to be further dismantled to get it into the house, you have to pay £150 fee.
If you want to take it apart yourself to get it into your room, it invalidates the warranty.
After having a sofa that cost over £2000 for 1 month, the cushions had sunk and were no longer comfortable.
On returning to the store for advice (having not only the original warranty, but also having paid for the 100% everything covered full extended warranty) we were given a link to a form on-line to complete - in store, they cannot deal with after-sale issues.
Completed the form and included the minimum required 6 photos.
In less than 40 minutes, the case was closed down as completed because "the furniture had not been used in accordance with it's purpose."
It is a sofa bed.
At this point no-one had even led on it, it had been used to sit on for a month.
No-one came to assess, no questions were asked.
Eventually, after multiple attempts, I found a phone number. Having gone through multiple options, the extension to discuss a complaint came up, which took me to a voice-message only, giving me where to log onto a website and complete a form, taking me to the form already completed.
Resubmitted information, to receive a reply that the case was already successfully completed and closed.
Googled and rang multiple phone numbers until eventually finding one with a person at the end of it. Had to use the words "complaint" and "ombudsman " before being taken seriously.
Eventually, someone came out to fix the 2, by now, very deflated and uncomfortable cushions.
Every step was a battle.
The service after sale was shocking and the quality of the delivered furniture very poor for the price paid.
This was supposed to be high quality furniture, the first sofa we saved for as there are no longer any children at home.
The experience has taken all the joy out of the furniture, and now, 6 months down the line, 2 more cushions are on their way out.
Absolutely dreading going through this whole process again to get these fixed.
I would NEVER recommend SCS or whatever Trade name they change to "Poltronesofa". For the price you pay, the quality of the furniture is poor and the after sales service is worse than poor. AVOID LIKE THE PLAGUE!

Ciao Stacey,

I hope you are well and thank you for taking the time to leave us your review.

I am very sorry to read about your experience and can completely understand how frustrating this must have been for you, especially regarding the concerns that you had raised with your furniture.
I can see that a technician attended and reported that no manufacturing faults were present with the furniture however as a goodwill gesture a booster pad was added to the seats.

Again I apologise that we did not meet your expectations on this occasion.
If you do have any further concerns then please complete the contact form and this can be fully reviewed by our aftercare team.

Kind regards,
Lynsey - Poltronesofa at ScS
