The delivery was a complete shambles
The delivery was a complete shambles. We were given misleading information about the delivery date, then had no phone call, no message and no updates at all. The sofa just arrived. Luckily we were home, but we had to rush around moving our old sofa because nobody had bothered to let us know.
The sofa itself is really disappointing. There’s already a dip where you sit, and it feels really bouncy, like cheap materials have been used. For the money we paid, the quality is nowhere near what we expected.
The customer service has been just as bad. I made a complaint over a week ago and still haven’t had any response. I’ve called twice asking to speak to a manager, but apparently there isn’t one available. The staff just repeat the same thing and don’t actually answer the questions being asked.
Overall, there’s no communication, no organisation and no structure. From the sales process, to delivery, to trying to get help afterwards, the whole experience has been really disappointing and has ended up being a very poor service.

Very pleased with all the txt messages regarding delivery and the crew delivering were excellent. Very pleasant & efficient and constantly kept us in touch regarding delivery time. Thank you to all those who have made our purchase a good experience.
What a disappointment.
What a disappointment.
I loved my leather suite when it finally arrived, but within just two weeks the leather where you sit was already looking worn and awful. Someone came out and put extra foam in the seat cushions, but it made no difference. It still looks terrible.
To top it all off, I got an email asking me to leave a review, but it wouldn’t let me post a 1-star review. I ended up having to use my husband’s email just to leave an honest review.
I definitely wouldn’t buy from here again. Save your money because you’ll only end up disappointed.
Absolutely shocking service
Absolutely shocking service. I was told my sofa would be delivered on the 18th, but nobody bothered to let me know it was actually out for delivery, so of course I wasn’t home. Now I’m expected to wait another 3 weeks because of your mistake. That’s completely unacceptable. Misleading information, terrible communication, and a complete waste of my time. Absolute joke of a company.
If you’re thinking of buying from SCS
If you’re thinking of buying from SCS, I’d seriously think twice. Their staff were completely incompetent, messed up my order, didn’t follow their own procedures, and left me with no way of knowing there was a problem until it was too late. Then, instead of taking responsibility, they tried to make it seem like it was my fault that I ended up with the wrong colour and fabric.
If they get something wrong, be ready for a real battle to get it sorted. My advice: be very careful before buying from them.

Went into SCS just to have a look around, but the sales people were far too pushy. I couldn’t even browse without someone trying to sell me something. When I said I wanted to think about it, their attitude changed straight away. They pulled a face and looked really fed up, which made me feel like they were only interested while they thought they were getting a sale. It left a really bad impression. I won’t be going back.

Terrible service – avoid this company.
They delivered the wrong colour sofa, and despite chasing them for the last six months, the issue still hasn’t been resolved. Every time I contact them, I’m told someone will “look into it” or “chase it up,” but nothing ever happens.
The customer service is completely unacceptable. They make empty promises, fail to follow through, and leave customers to do all the chasing. I’m now at the point of desperation and still don’t have the sofa I ordered.
I would strongly advise anyone considering buying from this company to think twice. Save yourself the stress and shop elsewhere.

I spent hours choosing the right…
I spent hours choosing the right furniture, visiting two separate SCS stores before making my decision.
The Bolton sofa in the showroom was extremely comfortable, but the furniture I received was nothing like the display model. It feels completely different, with cushions that don’t seem to have the same quality or level of support as those I tried in store.
Another issue is the fabric. It wrinkles almost immediately after sitting on it, whereas the showroom sofa didn’t do this at all.
I contacted Poltronesofà to raise my concerns, but they refused to acknowledge my rights under the Consumer Rights Act. Their response was simply that there were no manufacturing faults and that I had received exactly what I ordered. Under UK consumer law, goods should be of satisfactory quality, fit for purpose, and match their description or any model or sample shown before purchase.
Overall, I am extremely disappointed with both the product and the customer service.
Before buying from this company, I would recommend checking out the “SCS Sofa and Furniture Complaints” Facebook page to read about other customers’ experiences.
