The box itself has very good battery…
The box itself has very good battery life and does not miss any fixed speed cameras however hazard and mobile speed traps. It is absolutely useless. It also keeps connecting a disconnecting from the phone occasionally and ponging which is quite annoying on one journey. Waze alerted me to 11 issues on the road. This device didn’t catch one of them. It is literally useless unless you want a speedometer that runs of GPS in which case it is very good as a speed track detector they’re just aren’t the people using the unit on the road to put the data into the system. Why all these companies don’t sign in agreement to share data I do not know if this used the data from Waze it would be a brilliant little device except for the connecting and disconnecting issues before you say it Sophie it is not my brand-new iPhone. It is the software and it does it randomly I’m going through tunnels and things like that. I have also tried it on another iPhone and it still does it on that too

The alerts rely heavily on user reports, and while our network is extensive, there can be areas with fewer active users. Regarding the connection issues, it shouldn't happen repeatedly, even in tunnels.

It is good and update on the signs and responsive. The only issue I encountered was occasionally losing the connection between the phone and the device.

It should be free
Big screen and more precise then other devices but the monthly subscription price is still very high for afford at long term.
I personally think that it should be free for the basic use then for other features a monthly or yearly subscription otherwise it will go to the trash because it will be replaced with competition device.

Free features now paid for?!
Not used my Saphe for 6 months, turn it on, it updates and shows a padlock where the speed camera symbols used to show. It appears everything that used to be included in the cost of the device is now a paid for monthly subscription!!! The only thing it appears to show is my speed without a subscription, of this is right this device can go in the bin as that takes the mick!!!!! Ive since found out this item came with 12 months 'subscription' woahhhhhh this isnt clear when purchasing!!! Device is now useless without paying further!
From the reply - when you pay £60 for a device to then pay an extra fee per year adds costs to the device you wasnt expecting before purchase! I didnt find it massively useful as google maps showed the same speed camera location though this device gave better warnings. Your company ignored a list of cameras i sent in to get them removef as theyve not worked for 15 years and old there for show now, sorry but i dont want to pay for the subscription, i feel mislead and if i knew the device would be like this after a year NOWAY would i have purchsed it! I thought it was a one time cost! Naughty

Ah, the good old “turn it on after 6 months and expect magic” situation! 😉 The padlock symbol simply indicates that some advanced features now require a subscription – because we’ve massively upgraded the service with real-time data, improved alerts, and better accuracy.
Without a subscription, it still shows your speed and basic features, but hey, it’s like expecting a smartphone to work perfectly offline in 2023. Times move on! 🚗💨
Before you toss it in the bin, maybe consider how much value those extra features could add – after all, it’s only a small monthly cost for a lot of peace of mind. Just a thought! 😉
