I ordered a 6"-7" male Venustus Hap
I ordered a 6"-7" male Venustus Hap. from Sanctuary Cichlids and paid for overnight shipping. This usually means next morning delivery. I didn't receive the fish until after 6:00 PM. I floated him in a quarantine tank that had been pretested for water parameters and released him. The fish was laboring after release and swimming vertically. I contacted Jeremy Ghilani, the business owner, immediately and told him the condition of the fish. He emailed me back and asked me to keep him informed. The fish appeared better the next morning but was deceased when I came home from work. I requested replacement but was denied based on this was his breeder male, which I didn't request, and he didn't have any more other than 3"-4" size. I requested store credit but was denied based on his shipping policies stating carrier delays negate arrive alive fish. So if you order from Sanctuary Cichlids just hope that the fish arrives in the morning and is healthy after release for 24 hours or longer while in your tank because if not replacement and reshipping is on you even if the fish is sick when you receive him. I will take my business elsewhere.
