Ipswich Hadleigh Road

Hadleigh road Ipswich store - management please wake up!!! I am a frequent loyal customer in store as I work nearby. The level of staffing has decreased so much - I am expected to scan my own items or go through a self checkout when mostly 1 or 2 staffed checkouts are available, then wait several minutes whilst staff have to approve items. Tonight there was a lovely polite lady literally flying between the checkouts helping everyone with red lights on - people were agitated annoyed and impatient and your poor lady you designated to deal with all that had to take the brunt?! Been like this for weeks now. Blatant disregard for customers and staff alike. If this continues I will not shop with you again and neither will many others. Never see management on the floor - suggest you have a look on your shop floor particularly checkouts, we will not accept this! Profit making at its worst 👎

Wanted to register for online shopping

Wanted to register for online shopping. System couldn't find my address. Manual update not available.Tried "chat which ultimately stated that my address was not registered with Royal Mail. Considering I pick up my mail every week from the local delivery office, I think that their system wants a overhaul. They're right! Your wrong! Arrogant much!!
Will shop elsewhere.

Issues with a voucher

Issues with a voucher, using it online which was a technical website fault. However, I was reassured this is being fixed. The customer service person was learning but did her best and was pleasant in what sounded like a noisy call centre environment.

Food good value, for basic range. Shop staff at Tadcaster, lovely and friendly.

Onsite Parking

I dont know what it is with this store but every time you go in there is a lack of enforcement with the mother and baby and disabled parking. To many vehicles park on these which are not in need

Although outside the store needs to do more to enforce

Really beginning to not want to shop at…

Really beginning to not want to shop at Sainsbury’s anymore after decades of using this brand, and my husband is feeling the same.
The authentic Customer Service is being killed by the Self Service machines not working consistently at Bishop’s Stortford back in May and I really felt a sense of ‘endurance’ of me by the staff member in charge.
Had just used Asda and M&S tills in the days running up to this experience, and things were smoother and much more ‘customer considered.’
The new Nectar online won’t let either myself or my husband get passed our passwords not working, and then tried using the BotChat system and my phone ran out of battery by the end of the whole process, so didn’t get any further.

Was told at BS store that if I needed to update my Nectar app in order to access my points, that there was a likely loss of losing my points already on my card (which I’d left at home), and I was given a tel no to ring and sort it out again myself.

Sainsburys, you aren’t ’Customer Centred’ anymore; you ARE ‘serve Sainsbury's systems that benefit Sainsburys Centred’ and people don’t want to do your work for you.

These are First World issues in the light of what is going on in the world, I’m fully aware, but you are getting away with not caring about those you are meant to be serving, so either look after us or lose us because many of us aren’t going to bother to wait for you to realise how quickly you are forgetting the humans you are meant to be interacting with, and if this is how customers are feeling, I can only imagine how some of the staff are feeling too…

Beckton Sainsbury's Do not use this…

Beckton Sainsbury's Do not use this place. Parking ticket for Staying 2 hours On SUNDAY!
Visited the Specservers. The appointment for two of us, then after we use the TU clothing, Argos, Habitat, some Groceries. And Timpson for keys. We manage to do all that with 2 hours and 20 minutes. We spend almost £1300 As a thanks we received a parking tickect and turn out to be the most stressful shopping experience we ever had.
They have all these services and expecting customers do all that less than in 2 hours.
What a JOKER S and Clowns and Comedians.
You may have to ware Roller Blades to visit this place.
In terms of Specsrevers Drive up to Lakesides where parking is free all day all week. Or Drive up to Westminster where parking free on Sundays.

Ipswich Hadleigh road store..

Ipswich Hadleigh road store..
Last week I booked a saver slot for my shopping to be delivered on Sunday. My confirmation from Sainsbury’s on Sunday morning saying my shopping will be arriving between the hours 1600-1700. Sunday dinner time I get a call from a young lady saying that my shopping can’t be delivered due to sickness. She gave me two options, I can come and collect or we try another day. We tried for the following day and they couldn’t fulfill it. So that means I had to cancel my order. She said she was very sorry. But not good enough. Sainsbury’s could try and put that shopping in a taxi and got it delivered. The lady also promised to compensate £10. I never received any thing and also still waiting for my money to be paid back into my account. Disgusting service from a massive company. I normally have my shopping delivered once a month. But now Sainsbury’s has lost my custom for good

I visited the Sainsburys Store at 614 Finchley Road in the morning of 21st June, 2025 Golders Green. When I was at the check out scanning my products, a very helpful employee called Viibha assisted me with the scanning of some large items. Every time I go to that Sainsburys. Vibha is always so helpful and always offers a 5 star customer experience. Thank you Vibha.

Disorganised new layout

I’ve written to the main office but had no response and tried to complain in store to no avail. I have shopped at Sainsburys Hazel Grove since it first opened and recommended it to a number of friends. Not anymore though. Since the refurbishment it is an eyesore.
The fact alcohol is at the front of the store at a time when the cost of living is a priority just doesn’t make sense. It takes me twice as long to find anything as the store is just a mishmash and has no organisation in it, products not placed in any order and generally disorganised. I have heard lots of complaints from customers when I have been in the store but they may not be putting their complaints on review and it is seldom I do, but I am saddened that I am doing a lot of my shopping elsewhere now.
I did suggest to one staff member that the Manager should be sacked but she said the CEO had visited and was pleased with the layout, but then maybe he doesn’t have to do his own weekly shop himself or he would realise it takes twice as long and looks so untidy.
RIP Sainsbury’s and welcome any new stores to the area asap.

The branch at nantwich is badly managed…

The branch at nantwich is badly managed .
The gents toilets absolutely stink and are unusable, the outside litter bins are overflowing, the charity drop off area is filthy and uncollected items are strewn al over the place.
In store reduced prices and nectar savings generally don't work on checkout and you have to check every item.
Hardly any baskets available at stores entrance.
Extremely badly managed store in comparison with the Whitchurch branch which is the total opposite it is clean smart and properly presented,so I live in nantwich but shop in Whitchurch.

Dishonesty and unprofessional Behaviour

I used the home delivery service. When the deliver driver arrived,I was informed my 6 bottles of water had all bursted in the van. He called the supervisor who agreed to for the water to delivered later that day or the following day and I will get a phone call within an hour to let me know. Received no call or delivery of my water. Called the next day to be informed they do not have enough drivers to deliver it. Even though a Sainsbury's van drove pass my property the next day. This was very unprofessional and can they can no longer be trusted. They believe £5 and a.refund is acceptable. They were clearly aware of my inability to go toa shop and get the 6 bottles of water myself.

Exceptional Customer Service from…

Exceptional Customer Service from Sainsbury’s Executive Office

I recently received a parking charge notice in error after visiting the Sainsbury’s Maidstone store. I reached out to their Executive Office, and I was genuinely impressed by the prompt and professional response.

Ash Fahey handled my case with care, efficiency, and courtesy. The matter was resolved quickly, and the charge was cancelled without any hassle. I truly appreciate the attention given by both Ash and Mr. Simon Roberts.

This experience reflects Sainsbury’s strong commitment to customer service—thank you for handling it so professionally.

Watch out for the "Meal Deal" scam

For the second time recently we placed an online order at Sainsburys. The main incentive in each case was the very good value Meal Deals. But each time the delivery arrived, one or more components of the Meal Deal was mysteriously "unavailable". The second time it was the very good value bottles of wine.

Most recently, my wife placed an order that included Meal Deals to be delivered only 24 HOURS later. When it arrived, several Meal Deal items were "unavailable". So the deal was not so good.

It is my firm belief that Sainsbury's deliberately display these Meal Deals online as an incentive to encourage customers to place orders. They may in fact be able to supply a very small percentage of orders then placed, but know they will not be able to satisfy all of them. Very sneaky!

The only compensation offered, even when I emailed the CEO's office, was a £15 voucher against a future order, that no doubt if it included a Meal Deal, all the items of that Meal Deal would not be available!

I buy my tobacco in sainsbury French…

I buy my tobacco in sainsbury French gate in doncaster. I get a month's worth at a time. Several times I have been given the wrong product. Even been charged a more expensive price. 3 pouches of the one I ordered and 1 pouch of a more expensive product scanned as 4 of the more expensive one. This time I got a 30 gram pouch mixed in with my 50 gram pouches. The queue is normally very long so I don't check the pouches myself which is on me. But this is unacceptable and not the level of service I would expect from one of the biggest supermarkets in the UK.
I genuinely feel ripped off and incredibly let down.

Rubbish Bread and higher prices

Sainsbury’s have now decided NOT to bake bread on their premises. Apparently it’s now cooked somewhere else and delivered to the stores.

I’ve now stopped purchasing the alleged fresh bread as it tastes as if it’s a few weeks old and instead of the loaves being raised they are flat.

Higher prices, empty shelves and now rubbish bread.

Waitrose here I come!
