What a waste of money…

I find my Ryobi stick hoover is the worst I have ever purchased. For the start it doesn`t stand up very well on it`s own . I also find that the suction for carpets is not very good as it leaves bits behind. I also find it very hard to remove battery to recharge and to remove things to add different fixtures. I will not be buying from this company again.

Ryobi do not have any customer service

Yes same here, battery only lasts 10 minutes, tried to buy a new one but then they do not answer and increase the cost,
I even have a screenshot, but they do not communicate or answer to the request, looking at other reviews they all say same thing about shocking customer service
I am Really really disappointed with Ryobi and will never buy again at this stage, what will happen if it breaks down in guarantee have absolutely no confidence that Ryobi would even answer an email etc. Far better companies for power tools, Do not get locked in with tools that all use same battery, but that’s only my opinion from experiences I have to date and also same as other customers

My issue with Ryobi over their faulty…

My issue with Ryobi over their faulty batteries has turned into a soap opera ,which I thought would run longer than Coronation Street!!,but lo and behold,I have just had a telephone conversation with a lovely lady called Sharon from another department other than customer service, and she has sorted this problem for me,hopefully this brings an end to my Ryobi saga????

Great customer service

I called Ryobi Canada to find out about an issue with my new grass trimmer and about its warranty. I got a call-back from Anne Marie in a very short while. She was very helpful, professional and kind. She listened carefully to my questions and answered all of them. I was very impressed and now I am much more likely to purchase Ryobi products. Kudos to Anne Marie

World's worst customer service

World's worst customer service, not to mention poor battery product quality. We bought a Ryobi electric lawnmower a year ago and while the mower itself is fine, we have already had to replace one dead battery of the 2 we bought. Now the 2nd battery has croaked. It is IMPOSSIBLE to reach the in-warranty battery replacement service by telephone or the exciting "new" live chat service they tout. 2x over 1 hour on hold before giving up, and the robot chat bot is a moron unable to answer any question after telling us "Thank you for contacting us. Due to high volume our SMS associates are not currently available. Please try again in a few minutes. Thank you for your patience." So much for instant results by chat! This reply was followed by stupid unrelated answers to our questions.. Without a doubt the WORST customer service we have ever encountered, not to mention a crap product. Why on earth would we ever buy RYOBI again.

I have purchased two tools from Ryobi

I have purchased two tools from Ryobi
One a pole saw 240 volt used for one day and no problem.
My second purchase was a 18 volt skill saw . No problems till today when I tried to purchase a new blade number CSB 165 A2 blade 24 tooth , this was on the saw when purchased …I have spent all afternoon trying without success . You can buy a 40 tooth which I have .when you speak to Ryobi they give you the name of another company CJ Sinclair for spares .. they did not answer the phone , it rang out and then went dead .
Would definitely put me off if buying …potential buyers beware

Refund for garden tool

Prompt delivery of garden tool. On examination found that it would not do the job I required. Some problem in returning it as their system said to drop it off at a DPD collection point. The 3 I tried locally all refused to take it as it was too bulky! Contacted Ryobi who arranged to collect from home, which they did. Money refunded OK. So overall a bit frustrating but all turned out OK.

Purchased the Ryobi Lawn Package…

Purchased the Ryobi battery package..lawn mower, leaf blower and trimmer. The product in general works well. I was considering buy more products. Possibly the 40v but now I'm reconsidering. I needed some minor service on the original lawn mower. Home Depot where the item was purchased does not provide service. There are hardly any service centers that repair Ryobi products. So, Ryobi products are not worth buying..at least in Canada

Ryobi Electric 40cm lawn mower - Warning before you buy!

Bought a Ryobi AC 40cm lawn mower from Bunnings. Blade got bent by a hidden stone in lawn. You can't buy a replacement blade for these lawn mowers - not just at Bunnings NZ but anywhere (e.g. Amazon or Ryobi UK)! So only lasts as long as the blade! I wouldn't recommend buying. I note all reviews are negative.

This is a patio/Deck scrubber. I have found that no matter how you try to use it it is quite useless. Does nothing. If you try to apply pressure to get it scrubbing better. It just drains battery quicker and guess what does nothing.
Not impressed

This is pressure washer rinses car quite well. Though as a pressure washer it is about 1out of 10. Does work out of a bucket though so uses less water to rinse things. make sure you have a fully charged battery as it won't like every other 1+ work. Drains battery pretty quickly.

This appears to be okay. I have tried a small area of my patio and it did a great job. Battery drains quick though.#
Maybe the batteries draining quickly is a thing Ryobi do to encourage us consumers to buy very expensive longer lasting batteries????????????????
My star rating is an average for the 3 items reviewed

Delivery ok

Delivery ok, packaging ok but try registration of your items for 3 year warranty and it could take you 3 years to do it. 18v system has an extremely short run time.

We are not an Island

I would not use this company out of principal now. Our postcode is PA23 and they will not deliver to that postcode. So I arranged to have it delivered to an address in the FK8 postcode area. However because the billing address is still PA23 they still won’t accept the order.

Having had a Ryobi 18v battery lawn…

Having had a Ryobi 18v battery lawn mower for just over 2years guarantee just expired it refused to start and low and behold Ryobi don't want to know.
Their only service provider is in Kent (CJ Sinclair) also very unhelpful.
Avoid Ryobi like Covid 19.

Terrible

As a new home owner I was purchasing power tools to help. Wanted to have one style of battery so I went with Ryobi as they wide ranch of power tools. Their warranty is meaningless unless you have the receipt. Terrible product that didn't perform.

Non-existent customer service - tool broke in 10 minutes

On 31AUG16 I sent the following message with all my contact details to them on their site and was advised I would hear from them within 2 days.

Product complaint RYO-RTC0050A I have gone to use this item for the first time and the 150mm QuickChange chuck has jammed. Not only that the 300 mm extension arm that I need is the item that is jammed in it! Not at all happy that it has only lasted 10 minutes. Can you advise and resolve the problem. Many thanks.

Did I hear from them, two weeks later absolutely nothing. Besides having a defective item their tool in effect damaged another.

I did however receive the following email from them, nothing less than sarcasm. Who wants to receive junk mail singing their own praises and NOT resolving the problem. Costs time and money.

Thanks for visiting the Ryobi Tools website and for your request. We will respond as soon as possible.
