Excellent- so creative and easy to work with!!!

Ryan Patrick design organised our invites!! I had an idea in my head for rustic invites, and what he came up with was amazing. My invites went out a few weeks ago and I have had such amazing feedback about them, about how different they were and beautiful!! He was so easy to work with, I would definitely recommend them!!

Unprofessional, poor attention to detail and nasty behaviour

Ryan Patrick undoubtedly produce some eye catching stationery but their attention to detail and customer service leaves a lot to be desired. Our initial meeting went well and when the design concepts were drawn up we were very excited as they had captured what we had imagined. As the proofs appeared the cracks in their processes started to appear and by the time we needed the finished product we still hadn’t seen a proof that was error free. Nevertheless, we continued on in the hope that the final invites would be beautiful. Unfortunately, that’s where it all broke down completely.
When I arrived home after picking them up, the first thing we noticed was that the hotel name was spelled wrong. Another quick look revealed that where there was only one guest on the invite there was a major grammatical error – they had used the plural form of the verb “to be” instead of the singular (e.g. Ryan “are” invited to the wedding of rather than Ryan “is” invited to the wedding..) I was devastated at these simple errors that clearly smacked of a rushed and slapdash process that had no quality control. To be fair to them they reprinted them straight away but it was the next morning when I looked at them that I was further shocked that they had used a card of a different colour and thickness to reprint the incorrect items. When asked about it they explained that they’d run out of the other card and just used what they had. We’re not unreasonable and feel that if they’d explained the situation honestly to us then we could have worked through it but everything seemed rushed and nothing was explained. It seemed underhand, like they were trying to hide their errors hoping we wouldn't notice.

We thoroughly believe that our invitation was our guests’ first glimpse into our wedding and it’s an indication to them of our theme and our attention to detail. So far, Ryan Patrick’s invites were showing them that we couldn’t be bothered to spell the hotel name properly, we didn’t care about grammar and we didn’t bother to match things up. I should mention at this point that the colour of envelopes didn’t match the invitations either but this was bearable in comparison to the other errors. They used ivory envelopes when they had promised they would be pink.

When we emailed Ryan Patrick to express our concerns their emails came across as defensive, unprofessional and lacking in customer service. They blamed me for the errors even though I’d not been able to verify a finished article.

In light of the problems with the invitations, we asked for the table plan to be ready a few days ahead of when we needed it. Our theme was pink with glitter, Ryan sent me a message about 10 days to warn me that they might not be able to get the pink card and asking if I would be satisfied with ivory card. I replied that I would not be satisfied. I did not feel that I was being unreasonable in this because ivory had not featured anywhere in our invitations (except for the mismatched envelopes). When they sent me through a proof of the table plan I was astounded to see it was ivory. When I spoke to Ryan, he referred back to our previous conversation but I was able to also to direct him to my reply where I’d said ivory was unacceptable. I found this conversation particularly frustrating. Referring back to conversations by date and time, and copying and pasting bits of emails in to defend something that was clearly incorrect and inadequate was childish and unprofessional. Ryan Patrick did finally produce a table plan using glitter card but I found the whole experience with them very frustrating.

Several days after our wedding, I checked my facebook account and could see that they had done two things:
1. Unfriended me from their friend account
2. Posted a picture referring to bridezillas

I found this to be particularly nasty and childish. I know they didn't refer to me in the picture, but by combining it with the act of unfriending, it made me feel that it was directed at me. I’m a mature bride, I know that I wasn’t what they refer to as a “bridezilla". Ryan Patrick proved to be the only fly in the ointment of our wedding in terms of service providers being difficult to work with. I could not and would not recommend them to any of my friends, I just wouldn’t want to put them through the frustration of the poor quality control and the diva like behaviour that Ryan displays.
