At the RSPCA, we’re proud to be there for every kind— from pets in need to wild animals who need urgent care. Every day, our dedicated teams work tirelessly to protect animals, prevent cruelty, and offer hope in situations that are often distressing and complex. As a charity, we face difficult decisions about how to use our limited resources, and we must prioritise the most urgent and serious cases of abuse or neglect. This sometimes means we can’t attend every call, no matter how much we wish we could. When we’re unable to be there in person, we’ll help in other ways—offering you support, directing you to organisations that can help fast, and, when it’s safe, empowering you to take an animal to a vet. These shared efforts truly make a difference. We’re incredibly grateful for the kindness, patience, and support shown by the public. Together, we can continue to speak up for animals, protect those in need, and build a better world for every kind.

We adopted a yearling horse from RSPCA Felledge. The process to bring him home from start to finish was amazing we booked a day to go view him the day we went to see him his handler and yard manager were so nice welcoming and put us at ease. We decided that we would give him a new home and it was sorted really quickly. A massive shout out to Rachel Duffy and Gemma Curr. They said even though we are taking him if I need anything or advice to to ring or message straight away. We have had him two year in the summer and they still keep in touch even though he was ours not because it’s there job but because they gently cared for him. The yard was immaculate. If I ever get another horse I’ll be back. The process was straight forward. If I could add pictures I would! 5⭐️

This organisation is not fit for purpose and seem to be working against animal welfare, rather than supporting them. I had a fox in my garden, completely bald due to mange and also limping. When I finally got through to actually speak to someone, I was told to leave my gate open and it would go back to where it came from. I was appalled.

We had a stray cat trapped between my house and my neighbours house after falling off the flat roof. The poor thing was wedged in tight and couldn’t get out. I called RSPCA. Bearing in mind this was a Sunday, the first responder was at our house within an hour and escalated it to her colleagues. We ended up with the fire brigade who were unable to free the cat despite trying all sorts of methods for over two hours.
The two RSPCA staff were not deterred and continued to try and free the cat. It was looking pretty desperate and they contacted all the local vets to try to get a vet out to help. I though they may have to PTS at this point.
Vet arrived and a third RSPCA staff member who could use a dart. Between them they sedated the cat and was able then to drag him out. After 14 hours of being stuck, typically for a cat, he survived and is uninjured! A scan for a chip showed he was reported lost 4 years ago. The owner was still at the address and they were reunited in my garage! It was a Mother’s Day I won’t forget in a hurry :)
All three RSPCA staff were amazing. They remained focused and were determined to help this cat. We couldn’t have done it without them. I am sorry to see bad reviews on trust pilot. My experience of RSPCA has been excellent. Keep up the good work.

not helpful at all. not sure who this organisation actually helps as many reviews like mine never got any help.
was sent by cats protection to get some help for a stray cat staying outside in the harsh winter with a very bad eye infection with endless mucus and a dot on his pupil. After waiting nearly an hour i was out through by someone who sounded like they were having their lunch.
unbotherdly they told me they csnt help with cats its not their area and thst an eye infection isnt as serious injury??????????
WHAT ON EARTH, WHO IS THE RSPCA FOR? USELESS AND CAUSES SO MUCH UNNECESSARY STRESS TO ALL THE PEOPLE WHO ACTUALLY WANT A BIT OF HELP! emma do not reply to this with your standard apology FIX YOUR DAMN ORGANISATION, CARE FOR THE ANIMALS AND STOP SENDING PEOPLE IN ENDLESS CIRCLES!!!!1 i will support local charities from now on.

Rspca Bristol BS2. I called as an emergency for my dog. I was told not registered so can’t be seen and if I do not take my dog to a private vet they would take action!! I can not believe it!! I called crying for help for my dog.. when I bought my dog I had a lot of money. Now I struggle daily and would never ever neglect her she is part of the family! Over the years when I had money I donated to the RSPCA and regret this as they do not care about animals at all. Please do not ever donate to this disgrace!! To report someone for neglect of an animal when they are begging and crying for help! You should be ashamed of yourselves

We adopted a French Bulldog from Felledge RSPCA and couldn’t be more happy the staff were all brilliant. Our new dog was a little unsure with strangers to begin with but the staff helped every step of the way making us aware it may take a few visits before we would be able to take her home. Not one single complaint about how helpful and prompt all the staff were with any questions we had during and after the adoption.

Just sharing this response so people don't waste their time - they have lots of cats needing homes with an outdoor space but unless your garden is Fort Knox, you will not be deemed suitable. 'Many thanks for your adoption application. It sounds like you have a loving home to offer a cat. We have had a look on Google Maps and from what we can see, the hedge around the front doesn’t look quite secure enough to safely stop a cat from getting on to the road. I understand it's a quiet road but that is sometimes worse as if not noisy the cat might not be aware to avoid it. If the boundary has been made a bit more secure (for example with solid fencing or some cat-proofing added behind the hedge), we would be very happy to take another look.' My road is full of hedges and full of cats - no squashed ones yet. I suppose a small fenced in yard or outdoor cat pen would be suitable. This charity seems to have lost sight that the quality of life matters, not just the assurance of it.

Never in my life have I ever been so angry about a so called charity. Four times in the space of two years I have contacted the RSPCA and four times they have do absolutely nothing on their part. Today I have phoned and again, they said, take the injured stray cat to the vet. 1. I don't have a car. 2. I don't have the money to get a taxi to a a vets and 3. All the vets would do, is put the cat down. I know this because I have spoken to an vets assistant who told me that. So if you want to donate to an animal charity. Donate to a local run animal sanctuary. They care because RSPCA don't.

Absolutely amazing! Me and my partner adapted a pony (only 18 month only) she is impeccably behaved at home and amazing to handle! Clearly alot of time and effort has been put into her! We had some trouble travelling her home and the offered as much support as they could and came and visited her that day to make sure she was okay! (Pom-Bear)

Staff at the RSPCA work tirelessly to give animals in their care the love and care they deserve. We adopted a pony from Felledge Equine centre. The support and communication throughout the adoption process was first class, and has continued long after the transfer of ownership. Thanks to all the RSPCA, keep on doing what you are doing, you are all amazing 🤩🫶🏻🥰

The advice team have been so helpful. We contacted them asking for advice regarding keeping our animals safe in a potentially dangerous situation that is beyond our control. They sent a lengthy, personalised reply with detailed information which has really helped ease some of our stress and anxiety, they addressed our concern’s promptly and in detail. Thank you all so much. We know how stretched your resources are and we really appreciate it.

I have adopted two ponies from Felledge animal centre, one in September 2024 and one in November 2025. Their staff and adoption process was professional and easy to navigate. They truly care about the horses they are looking after, and put their welfare first when rehoming. I highly recommend Felledge animal centre if you are in a position to adopt.

We have two adopted dogs from the fell edge centre , the staff, foster carers and volunteers do an amazing job rehabilitating these lovely animals as getting to know them is essential so that they find the right home environment. It is so rewarding to see them start to relax and enjoy a very different loving life , well done to you all

The team at RSPCA Felledge Equine Centre are truly amazing. I adopted my pony from them in 2017. The rehabilitation and care that she received at felledge was exceptional. She was recovered in a tragic state: collapsed, colicking with a severe worm burden. She was just 263kg and unable to stand on her own for 10 days. The pony that I adopted had gained over 200kg and has the most special temperament. She is a confident, happy pony and with a super nature and an amazing trust in humans. This is all down to the fantastic care that the team at Felledge gave her, for which I will always be so thankful.

We wanted a little companion pony for my horse and decided to adopt from Felledge RSPCA . We got our little Rodney after being checked out by the team and it’s the best thing we have ever done . He’s the best pony and will stay with us for ever. Thank you Felledge for taking these ponies in from bad situations and rehabilitating them . You do fantastic work ❤️

RSPCA Felledge do an amazing job of rescuing and rehoming horses, the staff are kind and knowledgeable, they work in all weathers to care for and rehabilitate the horses until the time they can be rehomed, I am lucky to have two wonderful horses from Felledge and I am very grateful for them and the RSPCA.

I adopted a pony from the Felledge RSPCA centre. I cannot emphasise how lovely all of the staff were. The work that had gone into rehabilitating and handling this sweet pony to get him to a point to be able to be successfully removed was amazing. He's now a much-loved part of our family. I'm so grateful to the RSPCA for rescuing our lovely boy and giving him a second chance!
