THE SAGA OF MR (UN)HELPFUL AND THE FOUR PALLETS
(1) The company did not inform me about delivery date or time - just turned up with four huge pallets (2) Delivery man was the grumpiest, most inflexible, "can't do it" I have met in all my years of living in Dk. He started by saying that he could not bring the pallets up to our house - it "wasn't possible", according to Mr Helpful (heavy sarcasm should be taken as read at this point). Then he said he was going to place them where it suited him - not me or my neighbours - which would have blocked parking for two of our neighbours' cars. When I indicated that the pallets could not be "just left here to block everyone's access", he said he had phoned his boss and his boss had told him, "It doesn't matter what the client says, just leave them there". Eventually, 'Mr Helpful' managed to find a way to deliver the pallets (having gone from "impossible" to "I will put them wherever I want") in a place that was, at least, not in the way of everyone. However, he refused to put them inside our garage (which could easily take them and has an industrial concrete floor) - but, I guess that would have smacked too much of "customer service"). Honestly, in 16 years of living in Denmark, I have never encountered such a sour attitude, lack of customer-service and complete inability to think outside-the-box. I will be kind and assume he was just having a bad day ... 🙄🙄🙄
