Looking to place a studio apartment on the market. Was put through to a guy called George. He was, in my opinion, very rude and obviously did not want to be dealing with such a small property. When I asked the selling fees, he asked how would I be choosing which agent to go with. When I said, probably the cheapest, he said “It won’t be us then”. Basically that was the end of.
What I didn’t tell him, due to his abrupt manner, is I also have a property on The Fairway to put on the market at the same time.
I think you should be a little more courteous to your potential vendors. You could have had 2 properties to sell, one exceeding £1million.

Syed work so hard to sell our house. She was very proactive and professional in a tough market.

Tim was so professional when showing my flat that we got an offer after 3 viewings. I know it is so much harder selling a leasehold property than freehold and it takes so much longer. But after nearly 7 months we exchanged yesterday. All thanks to Tim.

I recently rented a property through Roman. While I am still new and getting to know the agency, I want to take a moment to commend Swati from the Burnham office. She was the one who showed me the property and guided me through the entire process. Swati’s professionalism and dedication were truly outstanding. She was always available, promptly answered every call and email, and took the time to explain everything in detail. Her patience, kindness, and thorough approach made the entire experience smooth and stress-free. Hats off to Swati for her exceptional service and for being such a standout professional in her field.

They consistently lied about the property, and when we pushed back they patronised us for wanting more information.
The agents will either call you 5 times a day, or be unreachable for a day or two at a time, and will never follow up with emails for the paper trail.
They also had hidden fees and tried pressuring us to pay £80 for them to take the property off the market; I’ve never heard of this being done at other agencies.
They never arranged the key exchange, so the sellers had to leave the keys with the neighbours, who we had never met prior to getting the keys.
They made this process unnecessarily difficult, and if I could, I would have gone with any other estate agency.

Poorest experience one can possibly have of an estate agency … they define the unfortunate reality of the world we live in… the crooks always get away with unlawful behaviours that end up costing money to contract abiding tenants … long story short I moved into one of their leased property in August 2021. Upon moving in, the premises were dirty and I was advised that a professional clean would allegedly occur before moving in … allegedly was indeed the word… it never happened … so here I was cleaning a flat dirtied by someone else to be sure it would be germ free for myself and my partner. 1.5yrs later I end up surrendering the premises early due to the landlady never complying with her contractual duties, refusing to replace her white good of a fridge/freezer that had been playing up within the first 6 months into the property which ended up dying on me over night resulting in the loss of over £300 worth of Costco meat.. The final draw was that my health substantially declined so I decided to surrender the key a week early and have the property professional cleaned and to thank me Romans estate agents conducted multiple visits, accrued additional bills linked to their use of lights, dirtied the premises and had the audacity to ask that I pay for their cleaning bill and fictional damage that would have allegedly happens at the premises … we are now dealing with THEIR ombudsman who deals with deposits to decide if I have indeed retuned the premises in a better state than they were given and if I have of not damaged something that was left working in perfect order given the Images that I have provided …. ROMANS DO NOT LOOK AFTER TENANTS THEY LOOK AFTER THEMSELVES AND THEIR LANDLORDS …. Shame on you

The attempt to market my property was quite complex before my meeting with Tim from Romans. I had previously been misled. Tim arrived at my home to provide me with a valuation of my home. The information provided by Tim was concise and informative. A full explanation was given regarding the process from start to finish and I was made aware of my options. I was even given information which had not been previously shared by other estate agents. I am at present extremely satisfied and totally confident with the agreement that I have entered into with Romans, Burnham office. Thank you for the professional approach I have received from all of the staff that I have engaged with to date.

The apartment I have rented if managed by Isabella York. What a fantastic professional, super efficient, excellent communication skills and always accessible and helpful. What an asset to the Romans team!
Very nice people and ready to help! Burnham branch is on spot with every single thing and ready to help at any time! Thx David Mauzhendi and Courtney Brant!
Romans have a very simple policy - unless the customer kicks off they won't resolve your maintenance issue
I welcome you to test this. Raise a maintenance complaint and make sure it's logged, then leave it. Wait until how long Romans contacts you to proactively resolve the issue. They don't. They wait until you kick off or chase them repeatedly until they resolve anything
I welcome you to test this out with them

A good Move Manager made the exchange take place. Essential and without it would be almost impossible especially when dealing with certain particular solicitor firms who quite simply are an absolute joke

Joe was so good.
Joe was the valuer and I found him to be honest, kind, very professional and loyal to Romans - he talked to me about all the plus and minus points - his honesty was refreshing to be truthful with you.
I felt confident with his honesty and straight talking which other agents tend to pussyfoot around the subject and offer the world and deliver nothing. I felt that confident in Joe that I signed up right there and then and the other 2 agents wanted me to sign with them as the area is very popular. Due to medical issues I could not do the usual contract time but agreed to 12 weeks although I wanted 8. Joe was very accommodating & showed how Romans care about their sellers - a true asset to your company I am sure he will go far as he was so passionate about his job.

What Service?? The service I have had from Romans has been very poor, I have had to use the estate agent we are buying from to step in and take over as no one at Romans could be bothered or even help to get things moving. I had to keep calling Romans to get an update, when I did manage to get something done myself, the person dealing with our sale left Romans and we had to start again with someone else. Then they had to play catch up but again did not have the go in them to chase our buyer, they asked me if I could do that for them, then just before Christmas he left and I had to get the estate agent we are buying from to step in and take over otherwise we would’ve lost our purchase.
The manager at Burnham has since taken over and I’ve had no contact at all from him, I had to call him to let him know we’ve exchanged contracts but still no effort from Romans side. This is the first communication I’ve had from Romans since the exchange before Christmas. To say your service is shocking is an understatement and I would definitely not recommend you to anyone moving soon. To still claim your fee when you have done absolutely nothing is a joke, but I expect I will get some communication then when that’s due.
