Terrible

Terrible! We just had to accept now that we won't get our money back! Think about those people who worked and saved really hard to get those dreamy vacation they think of with their families, but it won't happen cause of this kind of company.👎👎👎

Credit card company had to get my deposit back from roadfans.

We rented a motor home from roadfans and opted to pay the deposit €1500 instead of the insurance policy they provide. Returned home and after more than the 7 working days according to the rental agreement no return on my deposit. Sent them an email and they promised to return my money shortly. I had to go through my bank to get the money returned. Seems to he a regular problem if you don't take out their overpriced insurance policy. I won't be renting from roadfans again.

They don't pay the deposit back!

I am waiting for 3 months now for the deposit of 1500 euro! I sent several emails and they replied that they refund the deposit but that's not true! Don't book your camper here!

Beware!!!

Like so many other comments getting your deposit back will be a very difficult process.

They will claim you caused damage so be sure to take loads of pictures and videos if you do use them so you have your own evidence.

I raised a formal complaint through my credit card company and they upheld this and the credit card company returned the money to me.

Completely Scam and Rip Off, Be Careful!

It is shocking for me that a company with so many negative reviews would still have customers renting from them, if you plan to, I would strongly advise you against renting from them as you can see those reviews are evidence that they are not reliable. We have rented car from several companies in Europe including motorhomes before, this has been ABSOLUTELY THE WORST experience we had.

First of all, if you traveling to Germany and do not speak German, please DO NOT choose this company, as their customer service does not speak English so communication will be hell for you.

Secondly, if you did not buy extra insurance they tried to sell you before you rent the car, you will for sure have problems with the deposit. We had a scratch on the side panel of the car, they are asking us to pay around 900 euros because they have to change the whole panel due to that scratch, which is totally unreasonable. Moreover, they claimed we had made another scratch which we have not with 175 euros (we have a proof for that, it has a timestamp when I took that picture), even though we have sent emails to explain the situation, but no response, and the only one sentence answer I got from customer service is that the technician said the damage were not there, I found that shocking even I have presented them with evidence and how ridiculous is the one line answer from their customer service.

Roadfan might argue that digital check-in or check-out is for the convenience of customers but now it looks like it would make it easier for them to keep your deposit and to increase their sales.

After having this terrible experience, I found this company very untrustworthy and it is completely rip-off. BE CAREFUL!
