My family owes so much to McDonald's

I have just come back from my local McDonald's drive thru with some hash browns for myself and a porridge for my wife. We all like a McDonad's don't we ? This company has become an icon of our generation.

There is another side to McDonald's, one the company does not shout or boast about but one that gives something to families at times when they need support. Have you seen the collecting boxes in your local McDonald's ?

Before I left the drive thru pay window I dropped my change into the box.

When my daughter was a child she spent endless time in hospital far away from home in London. Without Ronald McDonald House at Guys Hospital my family could never have coped with life.

If I were to eat nothing by McDonald's meals for the rest of my life and always put the change in the collecting box I could never repay the kindness and support Ronald McDonald gave to my family.

PLEASE next time you go to McDonald's drop your change into the box.
