Do not trust this company!

Do not trust this company!! I have two auto mechanic loans with them - big, big mistake. The loans were at very low amounts to start with. I started making payments via manually (e-transfer) each month because I had to close my bank account. It was closed back in January, 2025 of last year but they still had automatic payments still set up (on their end) which I notified them multiple times to stop the auto-payments they ignored all my attempts and continued to bill me each month for 2 loans NSF x2-fees for each month, x 12 months which has increased my loan significantly and now I’m having a difficult time paying it off. The contact person, her name is Aileen S. Her Position is “Collection Agent” and she will not take any of the proof that I’ve provided her - which is from the actual bank with a letter stating/proving that the account was closed since January of last year but that’s not sufficient evidence for her. Shes now refusing to correspond with me about the situation and is telling me that I have to pay for all the NSFs for both accounts on top of interest, cost of borrowing and the actual loan. They can do and charge whatever they want and you have no say, even with the proof, they don’t care. They’re not here to help anyone but themselves. Don’t borrow any money from them! Don’t trust them!

DO NOT TRUST RIFCO

I've been doing my best for about two years without missing any payments, and I've appreciated them all in every interaction. Unexpected happens to my car loan and it wasnt with them. Suddenly, they moved my account to their recovery department. After two years of payments, I discovered that there was hidden interest. Although the real sum seemed to have remained the same, their attitude toward me has unexpectedly altered. Regardless of how well you're doing financially, they will treat you like a lousy customer.Avoid this organization as much as you can and don't become another victim; the manager and customer service are both dishonest.

Had a vehicle with these guys and it…

Had a vehicle with these guys and it was a total loss due to a mva which almost cost me my life and they were trying to tell me I owed more than what was the correct amount. Then to top it off my insurance sent them the cheque for my vehicle and they fraudulently deposited the cheque without my endorsement, I have now reported them & my insurance for negligence and fraud. Never deal with this company they should be put out of business. I hope they get severely punished for their fraud.

0 star reviews- Rifo added 100% of what…

0 star reviews- Rifo added 100% of what the vehicle was paid to the loan interest to be paid making it impossible to pay off the vehicle, then repossessed it on Christmas Eve. Now sold it by them not letting us purchase it back and is expecting to get another $18,000 after they sold it for an additional $11,000 and $30,000 was already paid off on a $28,000 vehicle. If you still feel you wanna buy with them good luck they’re only there for their own pocketbooks and to ruin your life. Never buy from these people. They even sent a bailiff to harass the buyer’s mom saying that he would be jailed to never come back home. People are suicidal when they buy with this company. Don’t do it - not worth the risk.
In Alberta, they can either take the vehicle or sue you they can’t do both and now they’re still trying to sue for money and they took the vehicle and sold it. Crooks and scam artists!

Please do not do business with RIFCO!

Rifco is a predator company, they will take advantage of you anyway they can and then some! I have had a terrible experience with them, they have made 30k+ profit on a 24500k car in 10months of having vehicle, I was in an accident and the car was a loss I have sent 22k from insurance and had problems waiting on gap, they refuse to hold any payments for the 2 weeks while gap is sending the closing balance or they will jack my closing balance up. They will take you for every penny they can and will not work with you at all if they have to lose a dollar after making 30k. Don’t make a terrible deal like I did I’m greatly paying for it!

RIFCO Shotty Business at best

so if you make an arrangement with them they don't honor it all and then they blame you for all the issues they say that they need 8 days to change a payment which is bogus, they need 30 days to do a deferral which is also a bunch of crap, and they also say that they charge a fee for making the deferral which is the first time I have heard of that and then i have asked them repeatedly not to call me till after 2 as i work graveyard and am met with well if something comes up and you cant pay we cant guarantee that we wont call bad customer service and bad business if I would have known that it was going to be this much of a headache I wouldn't have even bothered with this fiancé company they charge you fees and they say they are working with you but in fact they are not they are telling you what you need to do and bad communication as well then they have the nerve as well to ask if I know anyone that can help me I get I need to make my payments but that is a pretty personal question i guess it doesn't matter though the customer is just a number as long as they are getting paid who cares right I will most defiantly not be dealing with this company in the future and I will not be recommending this company either

These guys are straight up pieces of crap. Taking money out of my account days before my schedule payment dates. Then charging me 70.00 some dollars extra. I have spoken with two of there representatives about this and they don’t care one bit, I asked then to send me a copy of the contract where I signed and dates these actions and yet to recover it 2 weeks now. High rates. sh_tty dealerships they deal with zero stars if I could
