Excellent Customer Experience
I received an excellent customer experience all round when I just recently bought a used Dacia Duster Extreme (2025) from Renault Swansea. From my initial inquiry which was fielded by the incomparable Scott Davies, to doing a deal, including part exchange of my existing Dacia, and taking delivery of the new car took just 8 days. All my initial questions were handled by Scott with aplomb and he took me through the various steps of the process superbly well. I should also mention Leigh McGrath, Scott’s manager, who also helped out with doing a deal at a price I was comfortable with. This was all done remotely, I am nowhere near Swansea, but all went smoothly. I am thankful for the good fortune to have spoken to Scott in the first instance. Renault Retail Group Swansea are an admirable professional outfit in my opinion.
Dont trust the'reserve online' feature when buying a new car
They advertise new cars on their website and allow you to reserve online and pay a deposit when they dont actually have them in stock! Very annoying
Waste of time taking car for service
I took my car in on 12 March for a recall replacement of the gearbox seal. After going through all the details at the front desk, I was told at the very end that I should have received an email and text advising that no courtesy cars were available and they had no idea when one would be. No such messages were on my phone, and when I asked for evidence that they’d been sent, none was provided. This was despite receiving an email two days earlier confirming: “Your booking has been made with a courtesy car."
There were no follow‑up calls to rearrange the appointment, a complete waste of my time.
Fortunately, Renault SMC Weybridge were able to offer me a date for both the recall and the service.
Renault Retail Cardiff
Renault Retail Cardiff . Wish it could be NO stars ! Looking for Renault Rafale , spoke to Ryan Lima a couple of weeks ago but was given a very poor offer on my P/X , so I didn’t proceed. Very disappointed he didn’t try to save the sale . Carried on looking and made a short list , so I called Ryan Lima Sat Feb 28 th to check the latest situation on prices …what a complete waste of time ….made me feel I was interrupting his day ! Totally disinterested , the whole conversation was hard work , made me feel small , his approach to giving me facts and figures was so disjointed I asked if could e mail me the numbers . When it arrived, I wasn’t even addressed by name , the layout appeared disjointed with missing sections , so I e mailed him back for clarification now 4th March still waiting for a reply ….Saturday 28th Feb - 4 th March NOTHING …..Appalling customer service ,clearly doing so well they don’t need another sale !
Sadly his arrogant attitude this time is very similar to contact with him previously.
So I have gone elsewhere and take delivery in 3days time ,totally different buying experience.
Be warned…..
A lovely welcome to the reception area…
A lovely welcome to the reception area staff polite and well mannered and although i had to wait (3) hours for my service to be completed the time went really quickly with several cups of free tea or coffee.
Constantly updated with my cars progress either by Darko the service advisor or by text message to my phone....I was really dreading this day and the wait, but it was a rather enjoying and the time went quickly with a job well done on my car and the reprogaming my system for a fault that had occured over past (6) months...So well done Renault for a job well done and as the saying goes you can't please all of the customers all of the time...many thanks once again Mr J Crozier
Great service!
Car was in for second service under contract agreement. I used the collection and delivery service and Ian was amazing by helping to arrange pickup and return from an alternative address due to my being away. Thank you for making things so easy! As before the service went well and I received helpful feedback via the video from John.
Avoid at all cost- Absolute nightmare
ny more ridiculoushold times prior and after), where I was simply told the earliest available appointment is in SEVEN WEEKS' time.
I was given a number to arrange a hire car (Enterprise), but Renault refused to authorise one until the day of my car’s appointment — which, again, is SEVEN weeks away (I can not drive my car obviously) however during my first call I was told by Renault to ring Enterprise who will provide a curtecy car the day before, which I did, as instructed.
After three exhausting days of back-and-forth calls, hold times, and zero resolution, I’m still left without a working car, a hurendous headache and without any confidence in Renault or Arnold Clark.
This experience has been utterly disgraceful from start to finish. I will never buy from Renault or Arnold Clark again, once my 2 year old car is fixed with them, if ever , I will be getting rid of it and going else where.
Disappointed with service events.
I am disappointed with my service today. My car was in for the final service under contract. There was a total of £650 unspent before this service. The MOT required new brake pads. These were fitted, but they were generic and not the car manufacturers make. The final bill was in excess of that quoted. I recommend to other drivers to get your MOT done by an MOT specialist before it is due. You then have time to get quotes for any necessary work. I would also recommend drivers to steer clear of service contracts. Total spend in excess of £1,400.
The reservation fee does not reserve your car...
I don't normally write reviews, but I believe my experience is worth noting for anyone who wishes to reserve and purchase a car at Renault Retail Group Manchester. In the beginning, the customer service was great. While the first car I looked to reserve got sold that day, after talking to a salesman, they provided options to bring a similar car from a different branch. Although this was about £700 more than the initial car I was interested in, I put down a reservation over the phone. At this time, I did mention to the salesman that I was really unwell and might need some time before I could come over to purchase the car.
I ended up getting very unwell for a few weeks, and while I kept in touch with the salesman, who reassured me everything was okay, over time, I received an email asking if I could purchase the car before the end of the month to help their reports. Given that it was a big purchase, I said I would need to test drive and see the car in person first. As I started to recover from the illness and just before the end of the month, I mentioned that I was well enough to come by, only to find out they had sold the car.
It was very frustrating, but I do appreciate that my situation wasn't normal. However, the way this was communicated was frustrating; the messages were vague, and it took a bit of back and forth for them to confirm in writing that they had sold the reserved car. Then, it took a lot of chasing to get my reservation fee back. If you're going to break the reservation, the least you can do is make the process clear and return the money quickly.
Ultimately, this made for a negative experience for me overall, and as a result, I've decided to take my custom elsewhere as the trust was broken.
Floor mats, or not floor mats; that is the question
Found the car we wanted for the in-laws on autotrader. Contacted the dealer and bought it for the full advertised price. Car was delivered a week or 2 later to our home address (for a small charge) which was great. Unfortunately it didn't have the floor mats we were promised and the nearside wing mirror was faulty. As the car had manufacturers warranty we took it to the local Renault dealer who fixed the issue with the wing mirror. 3 months later I'm still chasing up a £98 set of floor mats after spending over £23k on a car. I am not sure what I am more fed up with, chasing them for these only to be fobbed off or my father in law mentioning the lack of mats everytime they come round (which is daily). This has turned what should have been a good buying experience into one i'd rather forget. Gave them every oppurtunity to rectify the issue prior to leaving this review; £98 worth of mats...

Booked a service and they damaged my car- under tray fell off when leaving dealership and then they had snapped the fastening mechanism on the bonnet leading that flying up when I was driving. Tried to charge £1400 for work that cost £160 when I took it to another garage. Will def take advantage if you are a young woman and then ignore all contact. Have ignored motor ombudsman and currently looking into small claims court.

Review for Renault London West, Brentford
Review for Renault London West
I recently purchased a Renault Symbioz Iconic Esprit Alpine from Renault London West, and I must say the experience was exceptional from start to finish.
Special thanks to Mohammad Aqeel Khan, who was incredibly friendly and patient throughout the process. He took the time to answer all my questions thoroughly and explain every detail about the car and the purchasing process. His professionalism and approachable demeanor made the entire experience smooth and enjoyable.
The showroom itself is beautiful, with a calm and inviting atmosphere. The reception staff were equally welcoming, offering refreshments while I waited, which added a nice touch of hospitality.
Overall, this dealership goes above and beyond to ensure customers feel comfortable and valued. The Renault Symbioz is a stunning car, and the whole process of acquiring it was stress-free and even enjoyable. I would highly recommend Renault London West, especially Mohammad Aqeel Khan, for anyone looking for a seamless car-buying experience.
Good service and support on new car purchase
Purchased a car from the Swansea Dealership, I live in Devon but the car was the best price/spec and milage online.
Dealt with Adrian who helped with a video of the car and dealt with all my questions (which were many),gave a good price on the part x and arranged delivery of the new car.
Although this was done online and over the phone i always felt confident I was being looked after and kept up to date.
Can be a worry when you deal with a company 200 miles away for such a large purchase but it was stress free and easy to deal with..

Maison was very helpful when looking to buy a second hand car, he explained the available Finance options. Only slight criticism was some things that were overlooked before selling the car (one being the boot door facia trim … this was pointed out by salesman so I'm hopeful will be corrected) and missing aerial which is inexpensive to source but still slightly disappointing
The overall condition of the car was good for milage and age of the vehicle. I would likely service at a dealership slightly nearer to home due to convenience
Would recommend speaking to Maison if looking for a second hand car and Renault are reasonably priced for what you get in return of equipment and safety.
Carys Smith in the service department…
Carys Smith in the service department was excellent today such a professional, a credit to Renault Swansea group.
Had a excellent courtesy, electric car which was brought around for me by Carys. Then telephone me to say our car was ready to collect, which had been washed and vacuumed inside.
Once again Carys brought it around for us.
Excellent quality service always, thank you so much Carys.
Kind regards
Paul Anita Hopkins 👍☺️
Dishonest
In July 2023, I purchased a Renault Zoe from Renault Watford, part-exchanging my previous vehicle, which was under a battery lease from Mobilize Financial. The standard procedure for selling a car with a battery lease involves transferring the lease to the dealership. Despite completing and submitting the battery transfer proposal to Mobilize Financial, Renault Watford failed to finalize the process.
As a result, the battery lease for my old vehicle remains in my name, and I have been charged £1198.45 by Mobilize for a vehicle I no longer own. I have contacted Renault Watford multiple times regarding this issue, but they insist that everything is fine. However, this is clearly not the case, and I am extremely frustrated with their lack of resolution and apparent dishonesty.
