Quick and convenient removal of my old scrap car.

It was such a smooth and very quick process. I filled out the form on Thursday teatime and it was picked up very early the next day. The gentleman that came was lovely and very polite . The money was transferred that day.

Friendly staff and an easy, quick transaction, paid more than others and the money arrived very quickly. I missed an important email and rather then dropping the job they rang me up.

I received a good initial offer for my car from Remove My Car and arranged a collection date with a wide window (anytime between 7am and 5pm). At 4:30pm that day, the driver called to say he was still 20 miles away doing another pickup and would come after that. By 5:30pm, he called again to say he’d run out of time and collection would be postponed to the following day.

The next day around noon, the company contacted me to cancel again and rescheduled for Thursday. On Thursday, the driver called around 1pm saying he was at the garage and asked where I was — but he was at the wrong branch. He claimed I’d sent the wrong postcode (I double-checked — I hadn’t). He then said his transporter couldn’t fit under a nearby bridge, so I sent him alternate directions that avoided it (he was only 4 minutes away). He never showed up.

I called the office, who said the dispatch team had scheduled collection for Friday. On Friday, someone called to "arrange collection" — I explained dispatch had already confirmed that day. I was then told they couldn't collect and it would now be Monday.

On Monday, a driver finally arrived, completed the paperwork, and took the car. The original offer was honoured, but not without cost: I had taken multiple days off work, endured three failed collection attempts, and dealt with inconsistent communication and what felt like dismissive support. Though apologies were offered, they felt hollow.

In short: if you want a good price and have plenty of free time and patience, they might be worth considering. Otherwise, I wouldn’t recommend them.

The representative was punctual, efficient and friendly and the money was transferred to my account on the same day as promised. I appreciated the follow up courtesy email as well. Overall excellent customer service and would recommend.

Honestly, steer well clear of Remove My Car. I handed over my car expecting a hassle-free service, but what I got was nothing short of a nightmare.

🔹 No proper paperwork or confirmation.
🔹 They didn’t inform the DVLA like they said they would.
🔹 Left me to deal with all the admin myself – risking fines and penalties.
🔹 Had to sort everything on my own just to stay on the right side of the law.

What’s meant to be a simple collection turned into a right mess. No communication, no accountability. If you value your time and don’t want the stress, go elsewhere. This lot are not serious.

My old car was removed without me having to take a day off work(as it was a day in the week). After following the email instructions, the job was done, swift & quick & I received the full amount that was quoted.

Easy to organise and good service. Only reason for 4 stars is they couldn’t collect for a couple weeks - otherwise good, simple and easy. Definitely recommend.

Contacted them and they removed car same day, man was really nice.

They did exactly what they said, the car was picked up on time, the funds were transferred on time. Everything was explained and followed through to the letter. Would highly recommend.
