Warning - this company will scam you !!!!!
I ordered a blu ray steelbook dvd for my brother in law for Christmas on the 08/12/12. This took sometime to arrive. It wasn't until Xmas when my brother in law pointed out that the DVD wasn't a steelbook (having never seen one before I didn't know) I purchased from red save using google for the cheapest price. The terms of a £19.95 charge after a month was not clear at all otherwise I wouldn't of ordered or I would of cancelled. I contacted Scott at red save to explain the DVD was not what I ordered so they sent me a returns form to send it back - I did this nearly a month ago and despite contacting them numerous times they don't get back to me. So they have had me for a total of £38.72 and I have nothing to show for it ! Well and truly scammed ! Avoid at all costs because you will lose your money - I am now going to trading standards.
Useless, uncaring scammers
Like many others I ordered items early December for delivery before Xmas. Got the usual e-mails when querying where my order would be 'I'll look into it' 'there's been a delay etc etc' Finally recieved 3 out of 4 things I had ordered, which I count myself lucky for, but am still (after over a month) awaiting a refund for two items, not a big one, but still. When they have bothered to respond it's 'I've raised a refund request for you' which never materialises. The imaginary 'Scott' who replies to your e-mails hasn't even bothered doing so for a while.
I've sent them one final e-mail to get a refund and as I have a solicitor in the family I have informed them I will be taking legal action against them. I doubt they will even bother to reply....
Wish I could give 0 stars.
Con-artists, don't touch with a barge pole
Having ordered several items as I thought the price was too good to be true, I guess I shouldn't be surprised that they failed to deliver or respond to any emails for a month. Thankfully my bank successfully did a chargeback against them, else I would have been down over £120. I placed my orders on the 22nd December and by the 30th January nothing had been received or actioned. Orders sat with a processing status, I emailed them 7 times over the course of a month, I had two responses saying it would be looked into, but nothing happened. Avoid them at all costs, I certainly won't touch them again
UPDATE ON MY CASE
Just an update about how I've got on with RedSave... I've finally got the item I ordered nearly one month after purchase. I think they've basically sent it to me to shut me up after messaging them advising them I would be going to Trading Standards. I have still reported them to the Citizens Advice Bureau as I cannot believe such an awful company can still be trading, even after legal action being taken against them in the past... So my advice to people is get tough with them and advise them you will be reporting them and asking your bank to recover the money they have taken from you. AND report them to the Citizens Advice Bureau and Trading Standards. Hopefully if enough people do this they will be shutdown once and for all!
And its also suspicious that everyone seems to receive replies from the infamous 'Scott' from customer service.... Either they just make up the names of their staff or they really are that rubbish they have one person working in their 'customer services'..... It seems to get dodgier the more you hear from them.....
Yes, they are as bad as everyone has said!!
I placed an order on 10th December and had to chase several times as products were a Christmas gift for my son. Luckily he's not yet 2 so the fact they never arrived didn't matter so much. However, I have since cancelled the order after having read all the terrible reviews. I have had two responses to emails saying that they are dealing with my request but nothing has happened and I am waiting for them to respond to my latest one which I sent on 27th. So much for responding within 48 hours! I wish I had looked at the reviews before ordering from them but this is my first bad experience of internet shopping. Lesson learned I will always look into a web company I haven't ordered from before! Next stop my credit card company I suppose
SCAMMING B*STARDS
DO NOT ORDER FROM THIS SITE, THEY WILL AUTOMATICALLY SIGN YOU UP FOR MEMBERSHIP THEN TAKE £19.95 OUT OF YOUR ACCOUNT...ORDER DIDN'T TURN UP ON TIME AND ARRIVE A MONTH LATE. NO REPLIES TO ANY EMAILS - ASKED FOR REFUND ON £19.95 AS CANCELED MEMBERSHIP BUT NOT HEARD ANYTHING BACK - DO NOT ORDER FROM THIS COMPANY!
Terrible.
I'm so glad I looked on this website to find out I was being scammed - when you register, you automatically sign up for a monthly payment scheme. You can leave this within the first month and not have to pay which luckily I managed to do.
As well as this, I placed my order on the 25th December, it is now the 22nd January and I still have not recieved it. I have sent two emails and so far have recieved replies but if I don't recieve it soon i'll call them.
An online scam - don't get caught
An online scam. They will charge monthly amounts to your credit card after a purchase. No documentation and website is unclear. They've been taken to court a number of times.
MONEY STEALING B******S
Do NOT Use this company. Ordered 7/12/12. several emails then got item. Was broken. They sent me Postage lable to return. Did that with proof of postage. Cancelled my SUBSCRIPTION on 7/1/13. Got email to say it was cancelled.within the hour. They took £19.99 from my bank account the following day. So I am now out of pocket by the sum of £36.71. They do not answer me emails. As I write this I am trying to contact them on the number listed below by another unhappy customer. been on hold for 16 mins now.. I think Trading Standards should be told about this company. I for one will be doing that today. DONT BUY FROM THEM.
DO NOT USE!!
please stay away ive been waiting 1month and 2 weeks for my order they have no contact number and all they say is there has been a delay with your order. i recomend if you have orderd anything ring your bank and put a block on the company taking money and inform them to try and recieve your money back,
DO NOT USE THIS COMPANY
As many are stating , not only do they not deliver but also started taking money off my credit card , no responses to emails , trading standards should look at these
Do not shop with this retailer
I have been caught out by subscriptions before so made sure I cancelled straight away. However I placed an order on the 01/12/12. By the 07/12/12 I had not recieved the item or any E-mail saying the item had been dispatched. So I sent a message and recieved a reply saying their had been a delay but it will be with me in a few days. Three more Emails later and three similar responses still no delivery. So I was actually pleased when I recieved an Email saying my order had been cancelled and my money would be refunded on the 22/12/12. By the 03/01/13 I still had not recieved my refund so I chased it up no reply........ so I E-mailed again a week later.... still no reply, still no refund. I tried calling the number but just a prerecorded message and cant actually speak to anyone.....So in short do not shop with this retailer.
Lull you into a false sense of shopping, as you are signing up for a subscription of £19,95 PCM!! Warning.....
I ordered two items on Redsave as they were at a very good price. As always you "tick" on the acceptance of terms as you order on the web, and with redsave you are accepting g payment monthly for some sort of subscription..No laws are broken as you have accepted this by ticking that box, without ticking the box you can,t place an order, which is the same for any Internet shopping site.
I e-mailed saying I did not want this subscription and luckily paid via credit card so was able to get a block on redsave deducting £19.95 per month.
Redsave.com is a typical company that trading standards needs to sort out, through the majority of people unknowingly signing up, it is naughty how they are able to do this without breaking any laws. They are not the only Internet company to do this either, Let's hope that with more and more Internet ordering strict guidelines and regulations start happening.
THEY WILL SIGN YOU UP TO MONTHLY PAYMENTS WITHOUT YOUR KNOWLEDGE
DON'T USE THEM!! If you buy something from them, they will sign you up to pay £19.95 a month without your knowledge. I had to threaten to take them to small claims court to give me my money back!!
DON'T DO IT!
DON'T WASTE YOUR TIME ORDERING, YOU'LL NEVER GET YOUR ITEMS AND YOU WILL HAVE TO WASTE LOTS OF TIME TRYING TO GET UPDATES ON YOUR ORDERS AND TRYING TO GET A REFUND.
IF YOU HAVE PLACED AN ORDER AND ARE WAITING FOR A REFUND IT'S WORTH CALLING THE HEAD OFFICE NUMBER (01202644202) TO GET IT SORTED AS EMAILING THEM DOES'NT SEEM TO WORK.
DONT FORGET TO CANCEL THAT CRAZY MEMBERSHIP ASWELL!
RIP OFF! Take advantage of anyone who shops online
Please please do not buy anything from REDSAVE.COM, they as ask you to save money by presenting their products as having average savings but they prey on the fact that most people click through once they are in the 'Basket' screen.
Most people just check the price and the Delivery charge, but just below there is another item which signs you up to £19.95 per month subscription charged to your payment method.
This is perfectly legal as they state thay they will do this, they purposly keep the prices and savings average rather than deep savings to lull people in (If everything was 50% you would smell a rat) and then they hope you dont check your credit or debit card statements (Luckily I do and caught it after just one payment).
Why is this a rip off?
- Would you pay £19.95 per month to save a few pounds off Gadgets?
- You would have to spend Hundreds per month just to make the saving worth while.
ONE HUGE MASSIVE RIP OFF!!!! DONT BE FOOLED.
Awful service, still waiting for Christmas gifts ordered a month ago!
Ordered 3 gifts on 10th December 2012. Chased 10 days later to be told that there'd been a problem with my order which had now been rectified and goods should be with me within a few days. I then got an email to say the items were ready for dispatch - great! Immediately followed by another email stating there had been a stock delay and that my items wouldn't be avaialble until - no date given. I have just cancelled the order and requested a refund of the £30 I spent. Also cancelled the monthly pass. Not sure why they think people will want to shop with them again anyway....dreadful service!
I'll stick to Amazon and other more reliable online retailers in future - and read reviews of shopping websites before trying them next time.
Legal scam, avoid at all costs!
They will very quietly sign you up to a repeat subscription fee of £19.99 a month, all covered in their T&Cs of course so they're covered from a legal standpoint but the truth is legislation needs to be introduced to protect consumers from this kind of con.
There's plenty of places to shop without the risk, avoid these scammers.
Fraudsters!! Scammers!!
I purchased 4 items on 29th November. 1 item was received on Xmas eve. The item that cost £2.72! The rest did not show up after numerous calls, emails etc
The what appears to be nice lady on the phone promises you to check with warehouse and guarantee all goods by Xmas!!
These are scammers and rob people's money. We need to go to trading standards and watch dog. Infact I'm doing this right now!!
WOULD GIVE IT ZERO STARS IF THAT WERE AN OPTION!!!!!
Ordered toys for my 2 nephews' Christmas on 5 December, after several emails, I have been told my order should be with me in 2-3 days, then the next day my order will not be with me in time for Christmas, but if I wait for my order I will get a voucher for a 7 night holiday in the UK (haha, no thanks!!), then for the 3rd consecutive day I got an email telling me one of my items is ready for dispatch!!!! This company have no idea what they are doing except ripping people off!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
