All Alphonso Mangoes Bruised and Mushy

I ordered 12 Alphonso mangoes. They didn't arrive when committed, they arrived a week later. I chased them up twice but no response. When the mangoes arrived, they were in the normal tray box at an angle inside a bigger box. All of them were black mottled, bruised and soft, totally inedible. I have been on the chat and sent photographs but so far no answer.

I chased again on 13 May when I hadn't heard anything in the previous 5 weeks and was then refunded for the mangoes (not the postage).

I ordered 12 Alphonso mangoes

I ordered 12 Alphonso mangoes. Arrived in usual tray box inside bigger box with no other protection for these delicate fruit. Majority of the 12 were bruised, completely soft and flabby, like hacky-sacks. inside the flesh was mush. I could have bought a tin of pulp with more texture. I send photographs and videos and they provided some patronising advice about mangoes and claim there is nothing wrong with them at all. Avoid until they can take responsibility for their packaging and products. No doubt there is a reason they have a lengthy disclaimer about their Mangoes.

Giving them a one star as half is not possible.Order was meant to be delivered to me yesterday, no response to email and voice message. This is after they have deducted money from my account. Poor show red rickshaw

I placed an order on December 28th with…

I placed an order on December 28th with a scheduled delivery date of December 30th. However, no one showed up. When I contacted customer support, the representative was completely clueless and unhelpful. After hours of trying, I called again, only to be told the delivery was scheduled for the 31st instead—an absurd claim, as I had clearly booked it for the 30th.

Despite my patience, there was still no update on the delivery by the 31st. When I followed up, I was told that “DPD forgot to pick up the parcel.” Yet, when I contacted DPD directly, they stated the package had not even been shipped from the seller’s end.

This entire experience has been nothing short of a disgrace. It’s clear this company operates with zero respect for their customers’ time and consideration. I wasted two full days waiting at home for this delivery, only to be met with incompetence and outright lies at every step. This is beyond unacceptable—it’s a complete scam.

Red Rickshaw: Delivering Disappointment Right to Your Door!

Red Rickshaw really outdid themselves – they managed to deliver late, miss the festival, and still send poor-quality items! I placed my order well in advance to ensure everything would arrive on time, but apparently, timely delivery isn’t a priority for them. When my order finally showed up a day late, the quality was shockingly bad, like they’d scraped together whatever was left over. I tried reaching out to customer service to address the issues, but it seems they’re on an extended break – no response at all! If you’re looking for disappointment and unfulfilled promises for your next celebration, Red Rickshaw is the way to go!

Worst customer service. Low quality food items.

Quite a few of the food items received were rotten, and squashed. Worst customer service. This actually happened: I sent them a picture of a bunch of bananas that were rotten, with bad smell and sticky juice all over. They replied back saying only 1 banana seem to be bad in the image and they will refund me for that single banana. Also they deliberately obscure "best by" date on perishable items before shipping to you! Shady!! Do not order from here.

Good experience

There was a problem with my order, so I emailed them. Initially, they sent an email saying they were looking into it but did not get back to me for many days. However, they contacted me a month later and apologised for the delay. They also informed me that a change in their management affected some other customers like me. They resolved the problem and also promised me that they would meet my expectations in the future as before.

Paid for ripe mangoes

Paid for ripe mangoes, but sent raw green mangoes. The guavas were green and rotting. cut 1 guava and a tiny worm was inside. They had all sorts of excuses for charging for ripe mangoes and sending raw green mangoes. They have told me it will ripe in 2 days time, but that hasn't happened. will not use them again. Very bad customer service

When we ship mangoes we cannot send completely ripe mangoes as those might get squashed in transit and won't be consumable, however mangoes should ripen in 2-3 days when kept at ambient temperature.

Rotting and inedible mangoes

Second time ordering mangoes and once again have received mangoes that are rotting, overripe, mushy and not suitable for eating. That makes 3 out of 3 boxes of mangoes in this condition. The new management, it seems, aren't concerned about the quality of produce or the variety of produce as Red Rickshaw as now become the Indian store with the least number of products and worst quality. After ordering from them for 15 years, this was the last time.

AVOID THIS SCAM COMPANY

Completely an utter sham, first of all ordered on a Sunday and the delivery was scheduled for Tuesday, they never sent the parcel, don't answer the phone, don't respond to emails. Parcel has not been received, DPD leave a picture of a package somewhere no knocking on the door. Absolutely avoid these scammers, complete and under crap and going to be dissolved or was about to be dissolved, I don't know how these people can take people's hard earned money and treat them like crap.

If you reach out to me that would be good, at least I know someone has some level of care to fulfil my order.

Current order was disappointing

Current order was disappointing. Ordered 2 boxes (2*12) of Alphonso mangoes and 1 box (1*12) of Kesar mangoes. Most of the mangoes were over-riped and can't be eaten, so had to throw them out as was turning rotten.

Excellent Indian fruits

I was reluctant to place an order because of the bad reviews. Went ahead in the end and I’m glad I did. The plantain, apple bananas, mangoes, chikkoos were all the best we had this year. The order arrived in perfect condition on the chosen day. We had one issue where the pav bhaji masala powder was out of date. Within seconds of me sending the email, I got an apology and refund. Will definitely buy again.

Delivery was prompt

Delivery was prompt, with all items well-packaged to ensure they arrived in good condition. On one occasion, I had a minor issue with a missing item, but the customer service team was responsive and resolved it quickly by issuing a refund. They also offer multiple delivery options, including next-day delivery for those urgent cooking needs.

Unfortunately the new management is nothing like the old one. They didn't send a few items and haven't provided any refund or even bothered to reply to my emails. In addition to that the quality of the groceries was really bad
