I’m extremely disappointed with both…
I’m extremely disappointed with both the quality of this product and the aftercare.
We purchased a bespoke recliner chair just under two years ago. The recommended retail price was £6,676, and even after a discount we still paid £3,338, so we expected a high-quality, durable product.
Unfortunately, the upholstery has already started to crack and deteriorate badly with normal use. This is not what you would expect from a chair at this price point, especially one designed for comfort and regular daily use.
When we raised the issue, we were told the chair is made from “leatherette” (which was not made clear at the time of purchase), and that the damage was caused by contact with my husband’s hands and bodily fluids. I find this explanation completely unacceptable. A recliner chair is meant to be used, and normal contact with skin should not cause the material to break down in under two years.
What’s most disappointing is the lack of responsibility taken. Rather than acknowledging a clear issue with durability, the blame has been placed on normal use.
For a company selling products at this level, I would expect far better quality materials and far better customer service.
I would strongly advise others to clarify exactly what materials are being used before purchasing, and to be cautious about expectations of longevity.
Edit !!! What oils and creams ? Although now I have been told it is wear and tear, even though you have a three year guarantee.

The purchase from the beginning to delivery of the chair was excellent. The installation team, Matt and Ionut were very polite and informative and gave a very good demonstration of the chair features and to operate it. My wife had just fallen having tripped over and they both helped back to her feet and onto the sofa.

The actual purchase, well we only wanted a price at first, but when we got that we said no way could we afford, but as the price came down so did the quality, not comfortable at all, we still haven't got the omitted headboard although apparently on order, not impressed.

An experience of luxury for my decreasing years!
Started with a set back on original arrival as heating unit wasn’t working. It went back to the factory. The Company were able to reschedule the delivery the following week.
Our Fitter was very quick, efficient and friendly. The chair was in action very quickly.
The chair felt immediately comfortable, so Craig the Salesman did his job well too.
The workings of the chair were well explained by the fitter.
I am very satisfied with my purchase.

Living in Cornwall means engineer visits for repairs are infrequent.
My new chair stopped working and needed a new control box.
I managed to book an appointment and was promised a call in advance giving me a 2 hour slot the day before. This did not happen, so I called the office. They promised to look into it and call me back. Nothing happened, so, after lunchtime I rang again. They claimed that I had been messaged which I had not. They eventually arrived after 3 pm. I had got up early in case they came early morning, and missed an outing with friends to wait in.

Excellent experience. The engineers arrived when they said they would. The new bed was installed quickly and efficiently and the old bed removed as requested. The engineer showed us how the bed operated and explained there was a battery backup in case of a power failure. The bed appeared to be of good quality and looked very smart when bedding was put on. The engineers were pleasant and helpful. 10/10.
