Rebtel provided affordable international calls. However, cancelling the service is proving to be difficult. The in app and online support is abismal. The Sophie bot goes around in circles, even when I say that the options to cancel or deactivate subscriptions do not work. I am still trying to cancel.

I travel a lot and mostly use the Internet for connecting with the world. I only rarely need to make a telephone call. Skype worked fine for me. I needed to make a couple of emergency calls from Mumbai in April and noticed that Rebtel got good reviews and so set up an account. The calls were okay, but Rebtel's pricing (which is not easy to find on its website) isn't. I don't need the kind of unlimited service covered by Rebtel's prices and ended up paying more than if I'd gone through my U.S. carrier, roaming charges and all.

I belive there must be better apps out there. I used the App to send data to contacts in Africa. The contact did not receive notification of top-up and so do not even know how to check that the transaction was successful or not. I have tried to contact Rebtel customer support via the chat box, I have been in position 23, for nearly 30mins. Every time I wait, I leave the queue and get an automated email with no help offered.

Best spend your money elsewhere.

Rebtel seem to have upped their game in giving better service, I've used their services for a while now and every time I've had issues the customer service has helped greatly. Having used other companies in the past I highly recommend Rebtel as a safe and secure way to make calls, any issues I've had were soon sorted to my satisfaction. Thank you and keep up the good work Rebtel.

Do not use this app. Every person I called using the app started to get targeted by scammers. They will sell all the phone numbers to scammers to spam your phone. The phone numbers I called started to get calls late at night. Total scam company. Do not use.

Rebtel is working pretty well for me.

My only problems are when I try to make changes. For example, last week I added a new phone number for the U.S., which is where I usually call.

At first, I tried to just add a new number, but I couldn't figure out how to do that. Then, I realized
that it was just a new number for a person already in my contacts. The old number is no longer working, so it would be good if I could delete that easily. I was able to call the new number, but I had some trouble each time I tried to do it.

I couldn’t make any phone calls using Rebtel. The app kept failing to connect, which was very frustrating. I tried multiple times but the service did not work properly for me.

I sent credit to a friend three days ago, but they still haven’t received the top-up. I have contacted you multiple times over the past three days, yet I have neither received the top-up nor a refund.

We have been using REBTEL to call to Austria and are paying for a 7 US$ unlimited program - it worked more or less until about a week ago, when suddenly all calls to Austria would be shown as busy - I wrote to Rebtel technical service at least 20 times and they did answer, every time another person, very clearly never reading my information to them, where I did explain every detail or out failed calls, and no help coming. Very, very frustrating - I spend 10 days and many hours trying to fix this with their customer service and it totally failed. IMHO what really happened is that my wife was calling her sick aunt to much and they system decieded that we where not a profitable customer, so they cut us off, that simple

You charged me, but I couldn't make a call, and you didn't give me my money.

I spend a lot of money, without success! I had to call50 Time, probably could talk just one time! I was absolutely not satisfied with this App and Connection!

For weeks they have been spamming me despite multiple requests to refrain. I tested them out for 6 days before the nightmares began.

They refuse to stop automated messages. They refuse to close tickets and all of this is to hide their fraudulent attempts at obtaining confidential data (ID and Card Details). I walked away. They lost their cash cow so they opt for permanent spam.

Meanwhile for 2 weeks Trustpilot colluded by refusing to allow me to post a separate review for each new piece of spam or advised me to 'update existing reviews'. Why? That turns Trustpilot into an anti-consumer platform. Consumers must have the right to post a new review for every company infringement, otherwise this platform renders itself useless. Without confirming it looks like Trustpilot just removed the block.

This company has not only ignored multiple cease and desist requests — it operates with wilful disregard for legal and ethical boundaries and blatant disregard for user consent.

Continuing to spam me after formal demands to stop, demonstrates a pattern of non-compliance and institutional contempt for consumer rights and opt-out requests.

Their refusal to honour basic privacy rights isn't just incompetent — it reflects a systemic failure of ethics and accountability.

Engaging with 'support' is pointless when the core operation violates fundamental standards of trust and compliance.

I have a horrible experience with Rebtel. I took the global plan ($12/month) and then tried to call multiple number all across the USA but it is always showing the number is busy and they have bad, bad support on the chat and ticket and they keep on saying the same thing that number is switched off, and I have tried from my device and i talked to the client.
I have taken global as well as USA plan separtely but nothing works

Stay away from them! BAD BAD SERVICE

I used Skype for years and was gutted when they stop operating. I did some research and used Rebtel as wanted to make calls on my mobile to my Hong Kong customer service bank. I found the service to be good. I only paid for the US 5 credit as was a bit skeptical at first. I would recommend them.
