RCN Capital is a nationwide, direct, private lender. We provide commercial loans for the purchase or refinance of non-owner-occupied single-family & multi-family properties. We specialize in ground-up construction financing, short-term bridge loans, fix & flip financing as well as long-term rental financing for real estate investors. We lend to both new and experienced real estate professionals throughout the country. RCN Capital, LLC was established in 2010 to provide time-sensitive, bridge financing to real estate investors to fund the purchase of non-owner occupied residential and commercial properties. Formed towards the end of the recession, RCN Capital has benefited from a turbulent housing market in which many real estate investors see great opportunity. A lack of liquidity in the credit markets and increased regulation of the banking industry has restricted conventional financing as an option for investors in fast-moving and competitive real estate markets. As the nation’s premier direct private lender, RCN Capital helps fill this void. As a direct, private lender, RCN Capital takes a common-sense approach to underwriting, with all approvals made in-house. We are dedicated to providing quick responses to time-sensitive loans. At RCN Capital, we value referrals and our brokers are protected. We are committed to the highest level of customer service because our success lies in building relationships.

My nightmare began when I met a…
My nightmare began when I met a so-called expert on a language exchange app discussing yield farming. I was trembling with anxiety. They fronted me 7.11 BTC to start. I deposited it, traded, and pulled out 16.9 BTC without a hitch. Hooked by the easy money, I was manipulated into investing $334,906 using a personal loan. The fake profits ballooned to $766,208. When I tried to cash out $587,954, the trap sprang: a mandatory 11% network validation fee ($64,674). Blinded by the sunk cost, I paid it. But when they asked for an additional 25% secondary tax, the horrifying reality set in. I was being scammed. A financial advisor recommended a crypto recovery specialist (Fiscopadvisorllc). They meticulously traced the BTC ledger to Kraken P2P, isolated the scammer's fiat off-ramp, and managed to reverse the transaction.
Don't use this group
Don't use this group. It's never a smooth outcome at the end. Terms change and the back tracking you have to do with a borrower is embarrassing.
Worked with Peter and Joshua
Worked with Peter and Joshua. They were nice. But this is the second time working with RCN you can’t rely on what they tell you because they change everything they say. And they do nothing but delay. Unfortunate.
Stay away from this company they don't…
Stay away from this company they don't communicate 3 months into the loan after harassing the appraiser for all kinds of extra paperwork and having me pay $150 extra for a rush appraisal taken 3 weeks then questioning him if its correct I would rate lower then making me get Insurance that was not need and harassing my insurance agent then sending me a commitment Letter with no terms no closing date no response when called just a horrible experience then backing out on Friday afternoon at 5 pm when my attorney couldn't answer any questions about the loan or deed work asking my attorney them question on the same issue this went on for 3 months PS. The broker was great the lender was HORRIBLE EXPERIENCE

RCN and Celia is a rockstar!
I've been working with RCN and I must say my experience with them was just good until I met the team, Eric, Kinga and the star of the show, Celia. I dont really write reviews but this time I will. Celia is the best ever! I have no words with the concern she had to close fast and how she follows up almost daily to make sure we close earlier than our targeted date. Of course, its expected that I need to send a lot of documents but it was seamless, Celia and of course her team helped me a lot. She trully is an asset to the RCN. We have 3 more properties for this year and I'll be sending this to RCN because of my GREAT Experience!
deceptive! Added $2300 broker fees after closing!
The title company RCN used added $2300 in broker fees AFTER I signed the closing documents. They all seemed very confused about how this happened and why I should be upset about it. I ended up feeling taken advantage of and manipulated. Won’t be doing business with them again.
Incredible Team
Hello my name is Joel Casillas from Casillas Capital Partners. Once again the amazing team of Eileen & Carolina just cleared Loan # 94993.
Because of this team. I have put all of my advertising budget on RCN programs.
Thank you and keep up the incredible work.
Eileen Mazza and her team was amazing
Eileen was really responsive and helpful.Amazing working with her and I will be using her again in more purchases and refinancing

It was an overall great experience working with Eileen on this deal! She was quick, persistent, and very detailed. One of the best loan officers I have worked with this far. Thanks a lot Eileen, looking forward to the next one!
Unethical leading and bait-and-switch
I've done refinancing a dozen of times. Here is my experience with RCN. This is the first time I dealt with RCN. RCN offered the lowest rate of all lenders I've contacted. However, RCN refused to lock the rate or provide a proper term sheet. RCN said "the rate is unlikely to change" and "the rate will only change if your [portfolio] appraisals will be off [from estimates I provided]". Since the US Fed was going to start raising the rates (it was January 2022), I thought it might be too good to be true and pressed for locking the rate, but RCN refused and - after reading not-totally-awful RCN reviews online - I figured let's give RCN a try given the RCN's multiple assurances. Another lender (LendingOne) I contacted did give me a proper term sheet and locked the rate.
After finishing (and paying) for the portfolio appraisals (appraisal values came in close to the guestimates I initially provided) and all other paperwork, RCN said "the rates did go up" nearly 0.5%.
Update 3/2/2022: RCN Capital CFO read this review and had our appraisal fees reimbursed.
There was one more issue I did not mention - but I do now, after Googling California law. RCN Capital said we must obtain for each portfolio property for the entire amount of the loan, not just for the replacement cost (a fraction of the entire loan). We contacted about 5 insurance companies (Farmers, private) - they all refused. RCN eventually agreed to make an exception just for us. Later I found that it is illegal in California (our state) to "over-insure" real property mortgage loans, see California Civil Code section 2955.5 and California Insurance Code § 2051.5.
Absolutely the best service possible!
Eileen and CarolAnn we're an absolute pleasure to work with. They both took time to explain options and were very patient and understanding in walking me through a typically tough process. I will be doing business with RCN again, and it because of the exceptional service from these two!

Eileen is always very responsive and she provides accurate information that I can count on when dealing with my borrowers. She is a trusted resource and is one of the primary reasons I continue to work deals through RCN.
Eileen is awesome to work with
I've had great experiences working with Eileen Mazza @ RCN. Her knowledge and experience in the investing side of the business paired with RCN's variety of loan products tailored to the unique needs of real estate investors are invaluable, to say the least. Clear responsive communication and transparency all along the way have made for smooth transactions. I highly recommend Eileen @ RCN and look forward to working on many more deals in the future.
My experience working with RCN has been…
My experience working with RCN has been nothing short of spectacular. Professional on all levels with an efficiency that makes working on any deal seemless. My dealings with loan officer Eileen Mazza have been extraordinarily productive. Her work ethic is second to none and her knowledge has helped me in more ways than I can possibly count. Looking forward to working with her and RCN for the foreseeable future

Eileen and her team were very prompt and professional. Their communication was excellent! The loan process was smooth.
One of the best
I had an issue with my appraisal. Dana and her team did what no other lender would do- assessed the asset in-depth, forestall the closing and make it all happen. The process was quick, efficient, and professional. You really can’t go wrong with RCN; they've gone above and beyond with sincerity, professionalism, and a strong work ethic. It's hard to imagine working with anyone else from here on out. Thank you Dana, Carol-ann, RCN!!
I am glad I went with them.
RCN was absolutely easy to work with. I did a cash out Refi with them. The process was check and easy. I believe I closed within 3 weeks. Serena was extremely knowledgeable and helpful. She was professional and went the extra mile to ensure I understood what we needed to make the deal work. I would recommend them 1000%!
Trust Eileen with your business
I had a great experience working with Eileen Mazza @ RCN. I've worked with a number of commercial Loan Officers, both as an investor and a Real Estate agent. Eileen puts them all to shame with her work ethic and phenomenal communication. I won't be taking my business anywhere else now that I've been fortunate enough to close a fairly complicated transaction with Eileen.
