got robbed and my bank did NOTHING

I opened a business checking account 8 plus years ago... I ran A LOT of money in and out of that bank... I had scam artist make 2 unauthorized withdraws back to back totaling $5000... I called the bank and was told there's nothing they can do about it because business accounts have 2 days to dispute charges... I told the lady it was literally less than an hour outside of the timeframe... She didn't care, her manager didn't care, and I'm out $5000... They advertised that they are insured, good luck getting them to pay if someone steals from you... I also asked why their fraud protection department didn't notify me when they saw someone repeatedly hitting my account, "we're not set up for that"... WORST BANK EVER, your money would be safer in your mattress...

RBFCU is full of CROOKS do NOT bank here

I've been a member of RBFCU for years now and have had nothing but good things to say but not anymore. I closed one of my checking accounts with yall weeks ago (and I know this for a fact because I was on hold for 1.5 hours before I actually got to speak with someone) and surprise there was a $0.28 credit to my account last week which opened the checking account back up without my knowledge or permission. There was then some unauthorized transactions that put the account in the negative (there was no money in it because the damn account was CLOSED) and so I got hit with insuffiencent fund fees that cannot be waived for some reason even though my account was supposed to be closed!!!! Y'all are nothing but crooks I hope you are ashamed of yourselves!!!! I'm closing ALL of my RBFCU accounts and taking my business elsewhere.

RBFCU not for Black small businesses

This Credit Union isn’t good for Minorities trying to start a small business or obtain a loan from them to help keep a small business and or personal growth within RBFCU .
I applied for a business loan ( commercial auto)
I provided all the required documentation and other paperwork that they didn’t ask for to be on the safe side.
I have banked with RBFCU for over 2 years.
I have the following
-personal checking
-personal savings
-money market
-Business checking
-RBFCU MasterCard
-Credit Builder loan
-Personal loan.
After having to call them back to check the status after 3 business days , I was told by Alex that at this time it was denied due to the score of my credit…My credit score was way above the RBFCU requirements to obtain a loan.
After thinking about it, I called back and spoke to another person who said the reason it was denied was because of my performance with RBFCU.
Now, I’m saying to myself well this is my bank that I’ve been loyal to.
And who I had confidence in of helping me start a small business and or loan when I needed it.
My performance at RBFCU has been great, and it could’ve also been greater at a different credit Union or bank that valued me better. (Minorities)
This would be the 3rd time I’ve tried to secure financing with RBFCU and it’s almost impossible, especially when they know who you are in the system.
I could’ve gotten financing from the dealership, but chose to still give my own bank RBFCU a chance first, just to be denied again for a unacceptable reason being that my performance wasn’t good enough.
No one could go into detail as of what that was.
The RBFCU advertisement for small business is false, they only help those who are privileged!
I’m upset to know I’ve wasted my time and money with this organization .
I wouldn’t have ever applied if I had any doubt that I’d be denied.
I had zero inquiries on my credit as well!
I even put my property down for collateral, and want even granted the least of a counter offer.
Not that I needed to have collateral, it was just me trying to convey how serious I was and that I was invested as well.
I know for a fact that it’s been discrimination of the decision making within RBFCU loans.
I’m sure it’ll be a short response & downplay of this review.

Horrible service

Horrible service . Stealing peoples money accidentally made a payment with the wrong account, called with enough time to do a stop payment, they said it’s a charge of $24 to do a stop payment but the nsf fee is also $24 if the money is not in the account . So you tell me how that makes sense ? I have 4 total accounts will be moving all my money to another bank ! Only reason I had this bank was because of a car loan payment but since it’s been paid off nothing holding me here . I would never recommend service with them . The customer service is worse then their policies . They never pick up the phone , holds are horrible and chat is redundant they send the same script over and over .

Befuddled

I am so befuddled I don't even know what to say. I'm a person who can collect their thoughts well and put them down in print. I don't know if it's just the customer service people or the whole organization that is shady AF. I am sick of these customer service people saying things like 'oh we're not like that. oh we don't do that we trust our customers.' what the hell dude? do not trust your customers make people responsible. There are so many different things that I've called about when these statements come at me when I ask legitimate responsible questions. I want them to weed out the people who are not responsible, because guess what when people default on their loans or something goes wrong the rest of us have to pay for those of us who are not being responsible. They have to get their money back somehow and it all's gonna be spread out to customers who are responsible in the end whenever that end occurs. AND I wanted help when I needed it but they abandoned me and they their claim was oh we're not um you're not an assertive it's up to you and I'm thinking I've never done business with you people before I called for your help and you just let it go and made it up to me whether or not I talked to ya when in the end it would have been a benefit to me to talk to ya while the loan process was happening and then you'll come back later and say that the car dealership didn't all wrong thank goodness I really appreciated that but it should have never have happened. UGH. I'm exhausted. RBFCU are the parents that don't give a crud what their kids do.

If I could give zero stars I would

If I could give zero stars I would. I’ve been with them for almost 10 years. Long story short. I had a emergency surgery. Due to my unable to work for 2 mnths. I was only getting paid 40% of FMLA so in saying this all my auto payments went threw and created a huge overdraft. When I called to assure them that I had my documentation on my moneys and my surgery. And it was taking way much longer to get my other 60% of my short term disability from my insurance. At that point I didn’t know what to do once I still had to get a payday loan out to cover my overdraft fees. And still borrowed to cover the rest. Well as the days went by they started to reject those pays they a over drafted me for and then charged me again on top of that. I felt my short would never get here. I cried I stressed over it so much. I was unable to use my hands and was dealing to my therapy vs my pain etc. And when I spoke to the bank they basically said sorry can’t help you so I told please just don’t pay them anymore. In the end I owed almost $2500 on just Fees. So basically my little checks didn’t even matter let alone nothing helped it. At this point I’m done with this. When I didn’t cal my creditors they all understand much more then this bank did. I was greatly appreciated for that. But for for RBFCU I saddened and will never recommend this bank to anyone.

RANDOLPH BROOKS CREDIT CARD SECTION GROSSLY MISMANAGED MY ACCOUNT

I have been a member of Randolph Brooks Federal Credit Union since 1982 when I was a airman stationed at Randolph AFB, TX. I have faithfully stuck with this credit union even though I have not lived in TX for over 34 years. I have given them my business financing over 5 cars and maintained my primary savings & checking accounts. I also had a MasterCard since around 1998.
The credit card section conducts business in an unprofessional & hostile way. They provide the worst customer service, the representatives are rude, curt and do not know how to communicate to customers in a professional business manner. I have never been late paying my credit card, I have faithfully paid my monthly credit card bill every month on time since 1998, paying much more than the minimum amount.
Around 3 weeks ago, this very rude representative called me told me in a hostile way that I need to pay the credit card because i have not paid since Apr. I told her that I didn’t appreciate her tone of voice & that I did try to pay the credit card but the account was deleted from my online account so I couldn’t pay online like I used to, I also called to pay by phone & was told that the system was down. When I tried to pay by phone the representative said the system was down I told him that I felt it was more than the system was down because I no longer could access the account online, it was deleted from my online account. It seem like a joke to him & he sarcastically repeated that the system was down & to call back. I also told her that I found out that my separated spouse has file for Chap 7 Bankruptcy & that was one of the joint accounts in the bankruptcy case. In a chastising manner, she said to me just because your husband had file for bankruptcy you’re still responsible. I told her that I’m the one that’s been paying the credit card all these years and that I could not pay it because the account was deleted the account no longer exist even when I tried to pay by phone. She said you could have called in the payment, she was not listening to what I had said. I told her maybe if you guys were running a profession business you could have written me a letter informing me that you have deleted the account & how I can go about making future payments just like USAA had professionally notified me. USAA didn’t just abruptly delete the account, they notified me in writing why couldn’t Randolph Brooks do the same & here you’re calling me in a hostile manner demanding payment when you have not sent me any statement or a letter. I told her I was not going to pay until I got a letter from them explaining to me their policy & how to make future payments since they deleted the account & I no longer have visibility nor am I getting any statement. I felt like I was being harshly dealt with when it was not me who filed for bankruptcy. I also told her that 2 years ago, I requested my spouse to be taken off the account because he’s been threatening to file for bankruptcy & I wrote Randolph Brooks to take him off since I was paying the account anyway and Randolph Brooks refused to take him off. Randolph Brooks is so unprofessional that instead of sending me letter like I requested, they just sent me copies of incomplete statements for Apr, May & June, that was all I got from them. Since then I made a payment for $300, but I recently got notified by my credit monitoring subscription that Randolph Brooks reported to the Credit Reporting. Agency that I had a late payment and my credit score went down 73 points because of that, I’m very pissed, it’s the only late payment I have had in over 30 years. I strongly believe if Randolph Brooks had acted like professional business that valued my membership, they could have sent me courtesy letter from the onset, instead of being a big bully & sticking it to me by reporting my account for a late payment to the credit reporting agency. I have since disputed it with Experian and Randolph Brooks certified to Experian that it was late therefore the late payment will stay on my credit report. This is very unfair to me, Randolph Brooks deleted the account without notifying me & I did try to make payments but was not able to do so because of the reckless & unprofessional way they handled my credit card account. My expectation of a Randolph Brooks is if you’re going to delete a customer account you as a bank should have the professional courtesy to notify the consumer in writing & don’t assume the consumer knows your banking procedures. I’m not a mind reader. I am requesting that Randolph Brooks remove the late payment reporting since it has done grave harm to my credit scores which was a direct result of the sloppy unprofessional way they do business, Randolph Brooks created this problem & they need to do a better job so no consumer have to go through what they put me through when a simple letter would have averted this problem.

He was ABSOLUTELY RIGHT. God rest his soul!
