I’ve always had a consistently positive experience with Woodlore, and honestly, I couldn't recommend any improvements - they’re already doing everything right.

Another standout aspect is their customer service. If you ever need to call, you actually speak to a real person - not just anyone, but someone with deep knowledge and genuine experience. Callum, in particular, has always been incredibly helpful and has taken the time to provide detailed, thoughtful responses whenever I’ve had questions.

Helpful guidance, friendly staff, some unique products.... they don't have a problem replacing an item that is not as it should be. I wish they had more stock. They do make reasonable adjustments ie if you need to change something or have other concerns.

I’ve bought from Woodlore many times over the past year and never had a problem. Despatch and Delivery is quick with the items exactly as expected.

I've bought a few things from Woodlore over the years; the bushcraft knife, sharpening stones, Norrona jacket and the Golden Eagle sleeping bag to name a few. I've recently returned from a trip, using the sleeping bag, which is very warm indeed, just right for Devon in March. The centre zip design makes it easy to use, although as age increases it becomes a bit of a snug fit, but super comfortable.

I've never had an issue with ordering, and the delivery is always quick, items of high quality. The customer service is always friendly and helpful. Can't recommend highly enough.

I recently purchased a pair of Noble Wilde fingerless gloves (my second pair) and a Noble Wilde Beanie (also my second one!). I now keep one set for outdoors use, and the other for wearing in the house when it's really cold to save on heating bills! They are perfect for both indoors & out.

I found out about Ray Mears shop through my son and I haven't ordered items from Woodlore before. I placed the order and followed the process and paid. The item I purchased was not very expensive and I noticed that I hadn't been charged postage. I contacted Woodlore and spoke with a very nice man called Paul to enquiry about not being charged for the postage, Paul confirmed that items under a certain price have free postage. I wanted to share my experience with anyone who wanted to use this company, I would highly recommend them. The website is easy to use and has a very straight forward payment process, great customer service and excellent value for money, thank you Woodlore. Kind regards, James

Superb service from the team. A great range of kit, including brands I’ve been struggling to find elsewhere. Easy to order, quick delivery, and the returns process was very fair.

The highest level of customer service - beyond what anyone could expect:

Ordered a pair of Hestra gloves but there was a manufacturing fault, so I phoned Woodlore to talk it through.

Not only did they listen and sort the issue instantly, but the resolution was far beyond what I've ever experienced elsewhere, including sending a new pair which arrived less than 20 hours later (and on a Saturday morning).

I expected the regular 'bought online return process' which would have been fine, but taken a few days...but this was better and easier than buying from a physical shop and going back to discuss and swap.

A few other things:

Woodlore has selected a very good portfolio of brands (I'm technical and have numerous pieces sourced from many shops over the years) that's nice to see in one place, saving a ton of searching.

Talking to the team they are incredibly knowledgeable ad the wider community reviews are a valuable source of real life product experience.

The price of the gloves was a s good as anywhere else and lower than the majority of online or physical stores.

The logistics looks good - decent packaging, invoice outside, packing note inside (highlighted, ticked and initialed as picked), multiple labelling, tracked, etc.

I phoned Woodlore to ask for help regarding vouchers and a jacket that I’m saving up for. Even though I wasn’t buying the jacket there and then Paul went the extra mile to help me judge the best size for me.
Every time I have ever contacted Woodlore they have always provided an excellent service in a professional and friendly manner. I can’t fault Woodlore in any way, shape or form. The gear they sell is always tried and tested and competitively priced. I trust their judgement as I know that any problems would be sorted efficiently anyway. Anyone buying from Woodlore can do so with confidence, they are second to none in my opinion.

I am honestly staggered that anyone would even consider writing a negative review for Woodlore! They have always been the absolute very best company to deal with - the very best quality products and outstanding customer service. They are independent and really will go the extra mile to make sure the customer is happy and all qustions are answered. I am so grateful for their help and kindness. If you look at their products, it's clear they only have the best. They have great prices, lightning delivery and the returns service is really fast and easy. Never had any kind of problem. Always been able to talk to staff. Cannot recommend highly enough! Edit: please ignore the negative reviews about poor returns service! The person that wrote that is illiterate and deliberately ignored all the info. on the product pages, all over the website and then on their receipt/returns form. You really cannot miss it. So, to leave a nasty review because you're that lazy is too much.
