I Installed Racechip S to golf 1.0tsi.
It work just as described. It gives significant torque boost to whole rpm range. Driving is much more stress free.
Worst support, unsafe product!
Please do not buy products from Racechip they provide horrible support, I never met the worst supporteam in my entire life, I purchased a car with a race chip installed, but the race chip was not working properly, so they gave me a new one, it didn't work properly either, they tried to the change the settings, didn't work either, they replaced the chip again, didn't help they replaced it yet again, didn't work, after that, I want my money back,no no way I will be getting my money back for the Racechip because I didn't buy Chip from them but with the car, so I don't own the chip!!!!:D, even tho the chip is in the original car + original owner sold me the chip , And I was told that I can sell it to someone and they would reprogram the chip for another Car, there I found out that the reprogramming that you have available when purchasing the chip can be only used if the first owner requests it. And does race chip really think that I will be putting other people at risk after I nearly got into three crashes because my car dying in the middle of our road, in the middle of an intersection, and the 3 times it was when I was crossing an intersection and I wanted to accelerate in my car wouldn't let me, after explaining This problem to race chip support they said they cannot do anything they only can provide me with a new race chip, you are a disgrace to tunning car companies, and I pray that someone will sue your company for unsafe products
Edit: I have video proof of my car acting up, in the middle of the road, dying for no reason, not starting up, after disconnecting the chip my car magically works :)
Edited: this is 100% real and true story , racechip in reply tries to say that it’s not real review , NO. This is real and 100% true review

I bought the Race chip XL for my 2015…
I bought the Race chip XL for my 2015 Sonota 2.0t. I could notice a big difference in power. For some reason my car would shudder under acceleration, and my fuel economy went way down. I honestly think it is an issue with my car, but anyways they were very fast to try and fix it, and when it didn't work and I said I just wanted to return it, they sent me a label to pay for shipping to Germany, and issued a refund. Even though this didn't work out, I would use them again.
Having purchased an XLR pedal tuning…
Having purchased an XLR pedal tuning box from Racechip with free delivery I have now been presented with a bill from their shippers Fedex for VAT and additional charges. When I purchased the product the VAT was included in the price. It now appears that since Brexit any purchases above £139.00 any VAT applicable must be paid upon delivery and not a point of sale. Have explained this to Racechip but they appear to either not understand or they do not care.
So, beware when you purchase anything from this company do not expect any form of customer service.

Avoid RaceChip
I purchased a RaceChip for my Passat Tdi. It worked fine for the first week or so. Then I started having rough acceleration. I tried all of the troubleshooting suggestions in their manual. I eventually had to take my car to the shop and spend several hundred dollars to get to fixed. I tried to return the device but the answer I got was it could not be returned because it had been over 30 days. Do not trust RaceChip.
Update on 6/10/21: I sent my contact information on the same day that RaceChip posted their response. I am still waiting for someone to reach out to me.
Response on 6/11: Your details are a little off. I followed the return instructions from your website. It says to complete a form and include it with the tuner, which I did. I received an email from you asking about the return. I responded. A few days later I get an email saying that the tuner was being sent back to me. I never said I wanted it. You said the tuner is fine. You also said it was fine when I originally ordered it, yet it caused my car to need repairs. Why would I trust it again? After I got the email saying the tuner shipped, I posted on here. You said someone would reach out to me, and no one has. I will be mailing the tuner back to you again.
Follow-up on 7/11
Still no resolution. It seems clear that RaceChip does not have any intention on making things right when customers have problems.

Have GTS Black that I bought new from race chips for $750. Put on Porsche Cayenne turbo. Has caused major engine codes about every month or so, and the most recent one was a red code that slowed the car down to a halt. I was fortunate enough to pull into a driveway, disconnect it, and finally get to my destination. Codes are gone after disconnecting. From what I’ve seen the power gains were moderate, but the risk to my engine isn’t worth it. Would not buy again.

Race Chip s
So I bought a race chip s for my rather pedestrian fiesta 1.4 diesel, installation they said was a bit tricky, and yes it was but I got there, only one plug to plug into the fuel rail, but they sent me pictures of it, so big up to race chips, so I put it onto number 4 out of 5, and I could feel the difference straight away, better pick up, faster acceleration, 0 to 60 is two seconds up, and top end is 5 miles up, so for me money well spent, and I know ppl will say get a re map, no as its too much cash more than double, but not double the performance, and I phoned the tech team up, and they where very helpful,so a big thumbs up from me.
The RaceChip has made a big difference
The RaceChip has made a big difference. I was hesitant until I saw a tuning company I trust do dyno runs, as I've seen a lot of negativity suggesting the chips are not giving the power they claim.
The install took longer than it should, as the instructions are both very poor in quality, and shockingly wrong. I have a 2020 Alfa Romeo Giulia, and the connections are labelled the wrong way around! Luckily one is 3 pins and the other 4 pins, and I checked before trying to plug them in. A lot of people will not check, and could damage the connections, in particular since the connection at the back of the engine is difficult to see, so done more by touch than sight. You don't expect instructions or labels to be wrong!
I'm unsure on the Bluetooth connection. As there's no Apple/Android Carplay option, you have to unlock your phone and adjust it. It means you end up leaving it in Race all the time, but if I was doing a long journey, I'd change to Eco. Decide to overtake on your journey, and you're in Eco, you're missing loads of power. Adjust the setting on your phone mid journey and you're breaking the law. It makes the option compromised, but better than having to pop the bonnet.
If your car is under warranty, financed etc, then I'd go RaceChip. If you're out of warranty and own the car, I'd go for a remap. It's cheaper, and less compromised.
Noticeable gains, instructions need improvement
Ordered Racechip S for F55 (2017) Mini Cooper 1.5 Petrol. Right now, it's installed fine, taken for a test drive and the extra power is very noticeable! Overtakes are a lot easier and I'm more confident overtaking.
I deducted 1 star for a few reasons:
1) The printed manual was for a BMW, which has an engine layout completely different to a Mini.
2) The RaceChip's connectors - which have an 'A' pipe and a 'B' pipe - were labelled the wrong way around. The 'A' pipe (supposedly for MAP Sensor) had 4 pins, whereas my Mini's MAP Sensor has 3; vice versa for the 'B' pipe (supposedly for Boost Sensor).
The manual should be tailored to each individual car - like what BlueSpark does.
However, RaceChip responded to my question (within 4 working days), with annotated photos of where the MAP and BP sensors are located on my Mini. They also explained the pipes could have been mislabelled. So, pretty good service.
My one ride in my Mini with the RaceChip was excellent. The RaceChip S has 5 settings, defaulted to the 3rd map. I increased it to map 5, and the gains are huge - wouldn't want any more.
I have a race chip S installed on my…
I have a race chip S installed on my 2006 R51 Pathfinder, its been on there since dec2020, and i couldn't be more pleased with it, it was easy to fit with clear instructions.
I got the S as my pathfinder had done 165k miles and didn't want to destroy it, but needed a little more torque for towing as its my work truck, after a couple of weeks trying each tune for a few days i settled on number 4 and haven't looked back, its a night and day change, its gone from sluggish and boring to responsive and great fun and for £109 as opposed to £280 i was quoted for a remap.
I did get an engine light come on but it was coincidence and completely unrelated to the chip, I've since added a K&N and 3'' straight pipe exhaust, after a few days of chip settling in again with no further changes to it the truck is so much fun and runs much more smoothly than it ever did stock, overtaking is fuss free and brisk and it always feels unstoppable with my work trailer on now. I cant comment on fuel economy as i have a lead foot, and the new found fun factor has not helped that.
When i decided to buy it i went through these reviews a little sceptical of how well it would work, having now owned one and looked at them again it seams like most of the bad reviews have neither, read the instructions or spoken to technical support about their issues, their loss. The unit was delivered within three days so there is plenty of time to try it and ask about issue within the 30 days if you're not happy.
Great work race chip, things that far exceed expectations for performance and service seam to be very rare these days, you make it look easy.
Transformed my car into something new
Absolutely LOVE this thing. Just showed up today, and WOW what a noticeable improvement in the lower gears. My A4 suddenly feels more like an S4. Can’t wait to get my hands on the XLR throttle tune as well, but for now I’m thoroughly impressed. If you’re looking for a great alternative to an ECU reflash, the RaceChip GTS is the way to go.
Ford Mondeo TitaniumX 07 2.5T
Ford Mondeo TitaniumX 07 2.5T, RS Chip.
Had to remove the headlight for access and the RaceChip box now lives behind my fog lamp foam mounted in a waterproof vented container. Simple installation but hard to access. So tried it in race mode and my gas pedal is now called the whup ass pedal, well happy. My average mpg went down to 16mpg from 24mpg, no such thing as a free lunch!
So before installing I put my car into cruise control at 60mph for 50 miles of motorway and got 33mpg. Repeated the experiment after installation. Same day, same route and with the chip set in “ECO” I got 41.8mpg?!!! I also had my wheel tracking done beforehand so don’t know how much difference that made but so far I’m well happy as even in “ECO” mode it’s faster.
After a few months on my brand new f40…
After a few months on my brand new f40 118i m sport on start up my car went into limp mode as the racechip lost its power supply? I had to reset the box for the power light on the race chip to come back on and work I took of the race chip and advertised it for sale with no takers to date get a remap if you want reliability

RS box on my 1.5t Mini Cooper F57
Been running an RS box on my 1.5t Mini Cooper F57 for a few months now, and its great. Power is (as per Racechip figures) touching Cooper S levels, and whether thats accurate or not, it certainly feels like it.
The only issue i had was that the labels on the connectors were wrong, but i'm mechanically minded and i realised the difference between the manifold and the turbo, so fitted correctly.
Disappointed with brexit import charges, but thats not the companys fault, and their customer services helped solve a problem which had meant i'd paid more to import than i should have.
Considering a GTS box for my 3 series diesel now...

Skoda Octavia mk2 - 1.9TDI
Firstly-it came super quick, just as it says within 2 to 5 days.
About the package-verry nicely packed and secured, only thing is that the chip itself was a bit dusty, but absolutley nothing to mind..
About the installation-instructions on the additional paper could be little better for my car specifficly but I mannaged to find the solution using YouTube. It is verry easy to do it yourself, just read everything first so you can understand it better and you are ready to go.
Performace-power and torq-you can feel it instantly, expecially while takeovers and on freeway. Only downside is I can feel something like a little bump while going 160kmh+ and letting off my throthle. Don't know why but dont mind it.
Fuel economy-there is a big chance that you won't feel any difference becuase you are going to push your car a lot now. At least in the first few weeks, but afterwards, there is no difference in fuel economy (at least for me).
Would I recommend it? - YES.
Bad expirience with product
Bought two chips for my Mercedes w177. From first day of installing product cars are going into the safe mode. Seller won't give refund. Their justification is that the 30 day deadline for refund has passed, which is correct but also is correct that they were warned about problems on cars from first day. I could understood that it was problems with one car but when it is with two cars that it is not by some accident. Also one of car needed to be replaced air flow sensor and they said to me that this is not problem that chip could cause. They did not give any solution for refund cost of replacing this sensor. Only solution is new software in chips. There is no any answer from their side what if this is going to happening again. My advice is to not buy their product. This lesson is going to cost me around 950 euro. Don't be stupid as I was.

What a brilliant Pro product
What a brilliant Pro product!
I have had this on my BMW 320d for two years before installing it on my m135i for about a year now. (The change over was also free of charge
if you have the GTS black)
The power and torque has been unbelievable, you feel it straight away and also the fuel economy works well on eco (on the racechip) is better than stock fuel economy. A lot of work/research/testing has been done by racechip to get the software working well (I also follow them on YouTube where they take you through the development) and the power difference whenever I need it has been fantastic.
When you buy the chip, get the app on your phone because then you can switch maps effortlessly between eco, sport and race.
Great work guys!
Don't waste ur money on it!
I bought the Rs version for my Volvo V60 T5(Y20), it's NOT working AT ALL I did a road test before and after the installation and the data remains the same. I'm sure that I installed it right because it's able to connect to my phone and read the data from my car. There are no other changes on my car and I emailed them for help but they haven't responded in 3 days.
This is NOT acceptable

Purchased a RaceChip in 2018
Purchased a RaceChip in 2018. I installed it on a 07 Mini Cooper S with Cold Air Induction, Bora exhaust and a few other little upgrades.
I actually no real improvement or difference between the setting offered or even when set at "0" which is as if it was disconnected.
Sent in an email after numerous attempts to contact them regarding a guarantee and never heard back from them.
Lesson learned, unfortunately it was a $450+ lesson to learn. I personally would not waste the money on it. Use that money on practical upgrades and a computer upgrade.
In response to your reply Race Chip. I’ve uninstalled your system and have actually put it back into the box and am sending it back to you.
I realize I won’t get a refund, but that’s fine. Like I said, lesson learned.
