Missing contract items, poor quality
We booked R.2photography for our wedding and everything seemed to go smoothly until two weeks before the day, when he requested an additional £100, stating that he had misquoted us at the start — despite us having double-checked two months earlier that all fees were fully paid.
Upon reviewing the pictures and wedding video, despite some lovely photos, several contracted items were missing or not delivered to a professional standard. For example there was no footage of guests arriving, no ceremony entrance video of the bridal party (the bride was filmed from behind only), the true father of the bride reaction was missed and the promised confetti drone video was not captured. Speeches were not recorded live, and the version provided omitted half of the Maid of Honour’s speech. The cake cutting video was bad very shaky. Decoration and groom prep photos were minimal, and some edited images had visible facial distortions. The wedding video also had moments of unclear audio and editing that did not meet expectations, such as lip-sync issues.
To make matters worse, they stated that they would not have provided us with the raw images and videos if they had known we were going to request a refund. At one stage, they also said they were going to delete our backup files and remove the “send and share” gallery link included in our contract, only reversing this decision when we pushed back. In addition, just days after our wedding, we discovered that one of our photos was posted in a public Facebook editing group for strangers to edit, which felt highly unprofessional.
We appreciate that R.2photography provided raw files and re-edited the wedding video in an attempt to improve it, and that a partial refund was eventually agreed. However, several key moments remain missing and cannot be recreated. Unfortunately, this left us very disappointed with the final result compared to what was outlined in the contract. Therefore do not recommend.
