It is a comprehensive program that does well to cover the promised material.
it has been good so far some of the videos I found did not have a lot of the information required on the test. Some of the labs requrie more time than what is listed for instance it lists 3 hour lab it actually take 6 hours could be user though
So far the experience has been good with the coaches and curriculum for the Cyber Security bootcamp. I had a very helpful coach named Bill who went over all the curriculum and answered any questions or concerns. The main suggestion I would say is not to expect everything to be spoon fed to you. If you don't provide questions and participate in lectures, you won't learn as much material. You have to put in work on your own time and try to learn to the best of your abilities. The course may seem unconventional because the material is in a fashion where you go at your pace, but if you push yourself you can gain a lot from these courses. It is okay to use multiple resources when studying Cybersecurity outside of quickstart. The resources are available to you in regards to excellent coaching, career counseling, and customer support, you just have to reach out to them and they will help. There are mixed reviews but that is because people didn't reach out and ask for help when it is necessary. Overall would recommend to people wanting a career change.
The bootcamp is a great idea. Coach bill has been very helpful and informative. I have also learned a lot.
However, some of the courses did not have very effective instructors. But generally I like the experience.
I have found this bootcamp very well rounded and insightful.
overall unsatisfied. course as a whole is lacking. all videos and no hands-on? that isn't training
It is very difficult to gain any knowledge in this course. The projects have limited instructions and the exams have information not included in the lectures so very often I have to go to Google for reference. I have tried to quit this course for the last couple months but no one at Quickstart has responded to my emails or voicemails.
I am glad that I took this course, didn't realize that Python is so easy to learn.
Machine learning part is more complex, but I learned more in this 6 weeks then I have in last few month on Youtube.
Great stuff for beginners!
I have a limited experience with the data science bootcamp. What I can say is that there was some confusion as to processing my refund because I dropped out after getting a new job immediately upon entering boot camp and I needed to drop out. It took a while but with Harris’ terrific help I did get the refund. I only attended one or two initial classes where we never got into coursework cuz just discussing the field and structure of course but I had no doubt instructor was capable and engaged. He seemed very high level in the field and super knowledgeable. Overall, I am satisfied with the limited experience I had with them. I do recommend you read all the rules about payment very closely and strictly adhere to them and be very clear with them about your understanding and expectations if you have any questions. Do not make assumptions. This is true of any school I am sure and certainly does not apply less to one that is online in which you don’t have day to day, in-person access to financial services staff, advisors, etc.
The cost of the program is not worth the value that was received. The course was essentially a PowerPoint presentation of material that could have been obtained with the purchase of a textbook on the course material. I signed up due to the promise of job placement assistance which was non-existent. I had a resume review with some random person who showed up late and hurried me off the call - telling me to only make sure my resume was optimized for resume scanning software. All in all this course mainly taught me the harsh reality of the world we live in - everyone is trying to make money and has less interest in helping you than they do with securing your dollars. I do not feel the 2000 price tag was appropriate for something that could have been sold as a $30 Udemy Course. If the Career placement services were better and actually had the promised affiliations with companies that were actively hiring it may have been worth the investment. But, No, it wasn't - lesson learned I guess. I would suggest only enrolling in a course with a job placement guarantee. By all definitions, this was a scam because the cost outweighed the value received. I never received a job offer in the field due to lack of experience and the course never contacted me about job placement and only contacted me to give them a good review which in good faith, I simply cannot. So here's an honest review. This was a marketing course, by the way, so I guess they sold me on something - but it was a lie.
QuickStart is a scam don’t get tricked. Right off the bat the cyber security bootcamp was not what was advertised. The course is not for beginners like advertised, my college is not accredited college, labs were not accessible, you’re assigned a coach but when you have questions or need help you’re told to google the answer. I reached out for a refund after getting nothing from this and it not being what I signed up for and I was told I didn’t qualify for a refund and I needed to talk to someone named Chris. At this point I’ve been on and off the phone with sam who keeps telling me Chris is in a meeting and will call me in an hour and it’s been over 2 weeks of constant on and off the phone. All I want is my money back and to go on with my life. Don’t do this bootcamp don’t get scammed.
Update: I reached out to support as their reply said and was told “no” and the ticket was closed immediately. Can’t get anyone on the phone, How is this not a scam?
Update 2: I’ve reached out to the ceo of QuickStart and he emailed back and said he would look into it and get back to me. I’ve been on and off the phone with these people over a month not and they keep telling me the people that make decisions regarding my refund are in a meeting and no one ever returns my call. After sending the ceo another email I still haven’t heard back from him but i did get a notification that he checked my LinkedIn page. Everyone you talk sounds like they are trying to pull one over on you. Again Don’t waste your money. It’s a lot of promise and no return

So I stopped taking classes at the end of April due to covid, deaths, and mental health. Unfortunately, this program is taking its time getting back to me where Im about to get legal with them because they are so unprofessional in all aspects. The online classes and everything are a joke because you are not getting any help. When you take a test it tells you the answer after so next time you take the test you get 100%. It's August and still no response. Also, they won't give me the time and day when I said I'll return the laptop and they won't listen to anything I say. All they say is sorry but we can't give you anything back. Im sick of hearing sorry from this unprofessional company.

Quick Start offers a wide range of online courses, almost half way through the cyber security bootcamp, their mentors and support team are always helpful.
Overall experience with cybersecurity Bootcamp is outstanding!!
Quickstart support team is quite supportive.
My mentor Michael Garret is very knowledgeable, humble and kind. The content that we get to learn in bootcamp is quite vast.I would recommend to join bootcamp,if somebody is looking for career change or for learning experience.
The Quickstart team and training are excellent! The team is always happy and available to answer your questions and assist you in any way they can. The training - including all of the projects (which can go in your portfolio) - prepares students for opportunities in the field of cyber security. The team assists with resume writing, interviewing skills and other helpful tips. I highly recommend Quickstart and it's cyber security boot camp!
The overall experience with the program has been great. The teacher has been a great help in guiding you with the labs and leaves more than enough time to ask any questions that you might have after the lecture.
The videos are generally pretty good, with a few modules needing a little bit more restructuring so that they are more easily absorb-able. It is easier to get through a chapter in a module when they're broken up into 20-30 minute topics.
The live lectures are the most beneficial in the class. Coach Ty, ( or Michael, I will omit the rest of his name in favor of security reasons), does an excellent job guiding students in the right direction far before the projects are due. If you pay attention to the live lectures he sets you up for guaranteed success. Honestly college professors could learn a thing or two from him. He answers your questions to the best of his ability, and if he doesn't understand the question he is very polite in the way that he approaches you to rephrase it. At the end of the day the program should definitely pay this guy more!
The live lectures have provided me with just as much knowledge than the recorded messages in less amount of time due to the quality of the lecturer. I can not praise the ability of the staff and support team in their rapid response skills enough.
The last bid that I would like to add is that I wish that the rest certificates were verified through a third party like the A+ certificate so that I could display them properly on my professional social media pages.
There is plenty of resources to access for this course and the coach/support team is usually very quick at responding. The only issues I've had is passing one of the assessments. You get plenty of retries so I'm confident in my ability to pass. I'm hoping the projects don't get too difficult and that I continue getting all the help I need with them.
QuickStart has provided a great journey for my Cyber Security certification. They have been a great resource.
I am trying to make a change in my life and embark on a new career in cyber security. I looked at a bunch of bootcamps and this one seemed to offer the most. The bootcamp was demanding and I managed to finish with a sense that this was worth it. I was very happy to land a job as an entry level cyber security analyst within a couple of months of finishing the bootcamp. The whole bootcamp is structured so as to become immediately hired, and it paid off. If you're serious about starting a new rewarding career this is the way to go.
