As a first, don't use Q8 gas stations in Italy !
If anything goes wrong on the station itself, there will be no one to assist you right on the spot.
Further, gas device will no return you money if e.g. you put 50€ and spend only 30€ on gasoline. Sadly, information about it is ‘hidden’ somewhere on the gas station.
In return you should get sort of voucher which you could use on some other Q8 gas station. But if you need to get the remaining credit on the voucher refunded, despite the fact that Q8 apparently is willing to do it, you will never get you money back.
I had follow their refund procedure as described on Q8 web site, but never got any response from support nor my money back. At some point I got e-mail that they can’t refund me as there is no more credit remaining on my voucher. In other words, most likely, people from the support have taken my voucher number and sell it (or gave it) to someone who was buying gasoline on Q8 stations using my money !
My advice: avoid Q8 !

I had a problem on a station in lake como and needed a refund, and after sending a first email explaining the situation, Q8 answered asking for more details, which I gave. Since then, I sent 8 emails over a month, and nobody is answering. They could be refusing (even though they would be wrong to) but they don't even answer the emails. IT's sincerely relly terrible service...

Do not use Q8! They erroneously charged me for petrol twice. When you try to call them, they only respond in Italian. English queries have to be raised via email. Their customer care will then ignore all emails (I have sent already 8 of them over a period of 1 month, without any response).

Non utilizzare Q8! Mi hanno erroneamente addebitato due volte la benzina. Quando provi a chiamarli, rispondono solo in italiano. Le domande in inglese devono essere sollevate via e-mail. Il loro servizio clienti ignorerà quindi tutte le e-mail (ne ho già inviate 8 in un periodo di 1 mese, senza alcuna risposta).
