Great service and beautiful yarn
I could not believe how quickly I received my order! The yarn is beautiful. Plus they sent me a surprise gift - a 25 g. ball of really nice cotton yarn. I can hardly wait to finish a current project, so I can play with my new yarn. Purl Soho is great! I will be ordering from them again.

Prompt Shipping, Not a yarn I would recommend.
I gave a 5 star review due to the prompt shipping. However, I am not giving even a 2 star for the Japanese Denim Cotton that I purchased. Perhaps I should have know better with this yarn, but the color is not the same even with the exact same dye lots. Certainly, not a product that I would ever recommend.

And just some background on the Japanese Denim Cotton... It is dyed using a ring-dyed technique that creates vibrant, long-lasting colors, but this process can occasionally result in more variation from ball to ball. We didn't encounter this in our sample making, but if/when you do, alternating balls every row or round is a great way to mitigate the difference in color. We completely understand, however, if this isn’t the experience you were hoping for!

Top tier customer service
One of the skeins of blackbird linen that I purchased had a knot tied in the middle due to a break in the yarn. After Purl Soho became aware of the issue, they immediately took action to make it right. Fantastic company!

We also want to assure you that knots or joins are fairly common and not necessarily an indication of poor yarn quality. Although the industry standard is 4 knots per kilo of yarn, we only tolerate 3 knots per kilo, with the ideal always being as few knots as possible.

I LOVE Purl Soho. I recently made Andrea Mowry's Traveller Hoodie using their Good Wool (sport) and it's my favorite sweater of all time. I love this yarn. Their customer service is tops, very helpful when I had a choice to make re: which mohair to pair with a tweed yarn I was buying. The person answered my question and offered an additional option I hadn't even considered, which I ended up going with! Very grateful. I love their sales, also. And quick order fulfillment. The quality of the experience and products is fabulous and a good value, as well.
