It was a really good deal to have proportunity to be able to buy our first home but then, they never told us they had no money to help us so they took us on board. We had all paperwork done, the offer from the lender, all searches done and after 3 months we found out that proportunity had no money. We were told they were trying to do another round of investment and we were at the top of the list. 7 months after ( of course, coronavirus for the last couple of months.. which we had to extend our tenancy agreement for another 2 motnhs thanks to proportunity) we are still waiting for them to lend us the money. We have found another lender with better conditions than proportunity because at the end you will have to pay to proportunity a % of the value of the property- if the property has gone up by 5%, you will have to pay back to proportunity 5% more.. think about it before signing with them.

I would have given them 5 star as the product is good, but I had a rubbish solicitor and they penalised me for it by doubling my offer rate half way through the process.

Proportunity helped me to purchase my flat with a 2nd charge mortgage. When my initial mortgage in principle fell through, Proportunity's products and services helped me close the deal on my 1st property. They were very ethical in their approach and provided impartial financial advice to ensure I understood exactly what I was agreeing to. Unlike my principle mortgage provider they were very responsive and accessible. My monthly repayments are more than manageable and I am now comfortable in my own space. As a single 30 year old living in London, I am grateful to be in this position and I couldn't have done it without them. Firstly I would like to thank Stefan Valentin Rusu from Proportunity! for fulfilling my dream of owning my own home! It would not have been possible without his help and guidance.

Proportunity is an incredibly innovative idea, it just makes so much sense, it really helps first time buyers especially when banks are unwilling to lend in the current climate. Plus the banks income multiples are lower nowadays so even with a very high salary and the fact that property prices are sky high, its impossible to own a home you actually like. That was my problem, even with a deposit I couldn’t afford a 4 bed house to prepare for my future, I would have to downgrade and buy a cheaper one that I didn’t actually like. I couldn’t rely on the bank of mum and dad, plus it just isn’t fulfilling, knowing that your parents helped you. I don’t consider myself spoon fed, I wanted to do it myself, achieve buying my own home without family help (with a little help of Proportunity of course)

I wasn’t prepared to work so hard and own a smaller property, I wanted to invest in my future, so I wouldn’t have to upscale in a few years when I have a family. That’s where Proportunity came in after a google search. I was tired of the all the main lenders, the income multiple just didn’t work for me even with an above average salary and strong deposit. It took me months of research and validation analysing the Proportunity product, before I finally embarked on moving forward with Proportunity.

When I had questions about their product the communication was great. No more than a couple of days between updates so I always knew exactly what to expect from the process.
The service from Stefan Rusu was just stellar and first class. I was a bit nervous about using an online lender without much reputation, reviews and I questioned it a lot, but I really had nothing to worry about, the service I received from start to finish was impeccable. I will be recommending to others without a doubt. Whats great about Proportunity is that the underwriting is somewhat manual whereas banks are automated.

Everything was clearly explained and I'm confident I got the best deal for my future.
They have a stake in my property but I intend to pay it off early, or ill simply remortgage no problem, since ive already got a new job with large pay rise.

When I had issues with getting the right offer and negotiating with the client for my dream property, it was about to fall apart but Stefan kept me well informed about the progress of my application. What I love about Proportunity is that they are a human lender, meaning they actually care about people and changing their lives. When the seller wouldn’t accept my highest bid, and the second lender wouldn’t increase the loan amount, Proportunity ie Stefan, worked so hard in my favour, gave me calls after work personally and worked his utmost to get me the property. They didn’t need to but they worked overtime for me, im so grateful. I wouldn’t be in this position now if it wasn’t for them.

No other lender would give you this level of personal touch and care and actually want you to get a property. Ultimately Proportunity aren’t your typical lender, they care about people, want to help people and establish themselves as a major player in mortgage space. I wish them well.

Proportunity offer a great opportunity to get on the housing ladder. Other than a few hiccups in the beginning, nothing major that didn't get sorted, they have been brilliant and very helpful every step of the way.
