They will not stop charging me

They will not stop charging me. Have called have emailed, massive scammers. I signed up for one comp and never agreed to be charged again. Have to dispute every transaction. They are dishonest scammers. They are grubs. Once they have your credit card you will not stop being charged no matter how hard you try. I can’t believe they haven’t been put in jail for dishonesty and fraud

Had a membership reactivated without consent.

Had a membership but cancelled ages ago.

Received a call from a very suspicious sounding Indian guy offering a month of free silver membership. (note: he calls you daily until you pick up)

Decided to take it as "why not".

Turns out he reactivated my subscription without consent!

If I didn't cancel it would start billing me again.

Very dodgy behaviour, will be reporting to fair trading.

Do NotTouch

Received a call from an Indian accent person (all good). Introduced himself and advised that I had been 'shortlisted' in the upcoming draw, but my bank card failed and that I needed to update my card details with him. I advised him that I have never given my bank/debit card details to prizepop.com.au because it is free to join. He straight away said that I had previously supplied bank card details and that the details were out of date and that I needed to pay $10 because I had been shortlisted in the upcoming draw.
The call was from a private number, so I ended the call and cancelled all communication from Prizepop. This 'company' used to run daily draws. Now it is once a month. They are running out of money and will dissolve soon if they are calling members asking for $10 to enter a monthly draw. Probably was a good membership at one point with different tiers and lots of draws but now it's one a month and they need lots of people to pay for it. Stay Away!!!!!

POSSIBLE SCAM

POSSIBLE SCAM. I had "Grant Walker" from PrizePop call me asking for personal details.

"Grant" had a heavy accent, despite the name and claiming to be calling from Melbourne on a No ID number.

The reason that this sounded highly suspicious is that "Grant" changed his name to "Paddy or Patty" during the call, and became somewhat hostile when I refused any personal information.

Won on the Free tier

I paid for a membership earlier in the year, and won two prizes. Then I dropped down to the free tier and was still lucky enough to win again even without paying any membership fee. Obviously just a lower chance of winning at this tier, but I still won :)

Deceptive

How can a free entry into winning a car cost you a minimum of $5.00 to enter? Sounds like deceptive advertising.

Hi there, thanks for your comment — just wanting to clarify something important. PrizePop does not offer $5 entries. Our entry options are very clear:
$1 one-off entry for major prize draws, and
Free entry included with a 1-month Silver Membership trial.
There are no $5 entry fees anywhere on our platform, so we want to make sure accurate information is being shared.

Get rich quick guys to take your $$$$

These guys are trying to become quick Millionaires off the back of your hard ewrned money. Their model is a more lotteries looking LMCT+ - and that guy's made millions off the back of young people who love cars and sucked them in. Don't fall for this, it's a membership that costs you and you will be in the endless loop of emails and communications - money coming out of your bank every week and winning anything is a distant hope. Save your money.
