Big Scam
I booked a hotel for one night in Canada, a few minutes later, I noticed they charged me in US dollars, so I canceled the booking. They didn't refund my money. It's a big scam company.
Absolute nightmare constant harassment
I booked a rental car through Priceline from OtoQ Car Rental aka Global Car Rentals. Everything during the trip was pretty good. It was when I got home that the CONSTANT harassment began. Otroq car rental calls 4 or 5 times a day insisting I have to complete a survey I received from Priceline. I did not receive this survey, I can not ask Priceline to send it. In fact, their wonderful "customer service" chat bot says not everyone gets one. You can NOT make these people stop calling. You block the number, they use another number. You tell them to stop calling...they keep calling. I finally had a meltdown explaining i just watched both my parents die a horrible death from cancer within weeks of each other and the stress from the dozens of phone calls was upsetting and begged them to stop calling. Im still getting calls and absolutely NO help from Priceline. Apparently their chat bot they call customer service does not understand my issue. PLEASE do not use Priceline orOtoQ Car Rental.
I went through Priceline for flights…hotel, package deal and a separate extra hotel stay
I went through Priceline for flights and hotels
My specific complaint is Priceline’s refusal to take accountability of who they do business with, and who they are referring their customers to.
My special needs child and I stayed one night at Howard Johnson north Bergen( didn’t sleep inside hotel)
I am writing to formally express my disappointment regarding the denial of my refund claim.
I booked a travel package through Priceline for a 9½-day trip to Washington, DC and we traveled to New York also, meaning we needed one night near New York. While the majority of my trip went smoothly, actually the other hotel in DC HILTON HOMEWOOD SUITES WAS BEYOND EXCELLENT but my stay at Howard Johnson by Wyndham North Bergen was, without question, the worst lodging experience I have ever encountered.
Upon arrival, the room was in an unacceptable and unsafe condition. The bedding was beyond unclean and showed visible old stains, and current God knows what on them that were a few days old probably. including what appeared to be blood. I also observed both dead and live bugs, including what appeared to be bedbugs, with one seen crawling on our belongings. I documented these conditions with photos and video.
When I brought this to the attention of the front desk, I was met with an unprofessional response that made me truly uncomfortable to deal with that man as a woman alone with my child. Although I was moved to another room, it was in similarly poor condition, and the door did not lock properly-creating a serious safety concern. Traveling with my 14-year-old child, who has special needs, I did not feel safe remaining in the hotel. Including approaching the front desk guy again who was as very mad that I didn’t want to stay. As a result, we were forced to spend the night sleeping in our vehicle in the parking lot.
Given these circumstances, i reasonably expected support and resolution through Priceline, particularly as the company promotes customer satisfaction and protection. I also purchased trip coverage; however, my claim was denied on the basis that it did not meet the policy criteria of illness, death or emergency and I was directed back to Priceline in which that made sense. My subsequent request for a refund through Priceline was also denied, despite the clear documentation I provided.
This experience has been extremely disappointing. The conditions at this hotel were not simply substandard-they were unsanitary and unsafe. I am deeply concerned that a property in this condition continues to be offered through your platform.
I respectfully request that this matter be reviewed again, including consideration of the photographic and video evidence | have submitted. At a minimum, I believe a refund should be at minimum. I wrote this review this way in detail because I wanted people to know that if you do get a hotel and you come across a problem like this, I wanted you to see the unwillingness that Priceline was to help me. It was like I should’ve just rented the hotel from the People instead of go through them. Because there was absolutely no protection that Priceline gave me. And honestly, when I called I was not treated nicely at all. After spending over $3000 and that’s just with Priceline that was very upset that this is the way they treated me so beware when booking with them. My package was from April 6-april15th 2016
With the North Bergen stay being April 10-11
Don't be fooled. Read this so your ware
Well about a month ago I booked a flight to Panama per business class found an overnight flight for 1000+ dollars cool, so I booked it. Not thinking no funny business was going to happen. I just happened to check a week ago. Because I forgot the times and stumbled across 2 of my 5 flight our economy class. I clicked on the button for business class right, thinking that's what I'm getting. So I called and spoke to a customer service "gal", and she had to escalate the ticket gave me a reference number and said either they will find a flight within the same dates in business class, or I would get a 20% discount also if I don't hear back in 3 days to call back. So that's what I did, and this new customer service guy had the nerve to tell me that I got what I paid for and I should have noticed, and if I want the business class, I will have to pay extra money. please make that make sense when I originally clicked the button for business class thinking that's what I would be getting on all my flights, I mean I chose the flight around the price I thought that was a good deal because it was an overnight flight then he tells me I would have to pay an additional $500. If I wanted it changed, and they would not offer the 20% discount. Because all of a sudden, the Business class seats became available on the same flights... Again, make that make sense. Priceline customer service is trash and pulled one on me. see how they can't even respond to this, scamers
I called Booking.com to book a package…
I called Booking.com to book a package to Jamaica (hotel and flight). I ended up talking to someone from Priceline I found out later. I thought she had assisted me to book what I wanted. I was so very wrong.
1. I asked for a room/ocean view/balcony/two double beds. I even gave her the exact room. I found out 4 days before my trip that I got king bed/no balcony/no ocean view (overlooking the parking lot). The hotel stay was split when booked. First 2 nights under one booking and the third night under a separate booking. The same split for the flight. This situation has ruined the restful vacation that my husband and I had planned. I called the hotel to see if we could change rooms but they are fully booked for our dates. I am so angry. I will have nothing to do with Booking, com or Priceline again.
This is the first time I am using Booking.com for a package trip. No way will I do that again. I have used Booking.com before to reserve hotels in Jamaica with no problem so I do not know what happened this time except that the representative did not know what she was doing.
Priceline doesn’t stand for it’s customers
Well did not know Priceline uses a third party. It was Agoda. Had to make last minute chgs to a non changeable booking. The hotel (Sotetsu Fresa Inn) gave us a letter to waive fees and agoda would not honor the hotel’s letter. States that the hotel didn’t state that. Even though I have the letter. Priceline didn’t really assist me with the letter I submitted. And I’ve been using Priceline for years. Other family members used booking.com. They did not have issues. Having second thoughts to continue using Priceline.
AUD dollars please
If you're service is being given in Australia, give AUD costs. My receipt gave the lowest figure but was actually USD dollars. Then the itinerary received gave the full AUD price.
An extra star for giving cancelations on the day.
Terrible Customer service
Terrible Customer service. ⚠️ DO NOT BOOK anything from PRICELINE!!!! I’ve been following up a refund since Sep/2025. NO SUCCESS!!!
Despite daily calls and email-no sympathy nor understanding on the issues. NEVER NEVER Book from them to avoid stress and anxiety. It doesn’t matter if you are a VIP client's- neither it helps, A very Bad experience!
Run as far as you can from Priceline.
Run as far as you can from Priceline. I booked a 3 night stay got sick and cancelled.
They said they had to notify the hotel and would give me an answer in 5 hours 8 days ago.
Got ahold of them today and was told my claim was denied because I didn’t have a note from my doctor. I didn’t go to my doctor.
So they are keeping the full amount although I never set foot on that property.
Also, there’s a third-party in the mix. It’s Priceline, the third-party medium, and the hotel and it seems nothing gets approved or denied without the intermediate so I’m here to burn them to the ground. The arbitrary rules don’t give them a license to steal.
They scammed me out of a week rental i…
They scammed me out of a week rental i never got and will not refund me. Plus a number of other issues. Do not use them!
Booked a four night stay at Criterion…
Booked a four night stay at Criterion Hotel Perth WA, arrived late Sunday after long days travelling from Sri Lanka and was greeted by a room that bore no resemblance to the images. Stayed one night and found better similar priced accommodation in the same central area next morning. Supplied images for Priceline review, ripped curtains, dirty extraction fan, ratty chairs etc etc but review has not been published and their AI system does not accept any responsibility and merely points you back to the hotel. This was without doubt the worst online hotel booking ever.
Raped
Package plane ticket and rental car waited at airport 3 hrs no renal had to rent another rental car no help from Priceline. Lost money this is ripping people off. You call them wait on phone for 30min and get disconnected this place is a bunch of thieves.
Terrible Car rental experience - Priceline not vetting vendors
We booked a rental car through Priceline, which used a company called “Priceless,” because the rate seemed like a great deal at $7/day. Unfortunately, the experience was anything but.
The vehicles were in terrible condition—dented, scratched, with loose parts and even broken door handles. The first car we were given had a service light come on immediately after leaving the lot. We had to turn around within minutes and exchange it for another vehicle that wasn’t much better.
When we returned the car, things got worse. The vehicle was briefly inspected, but we were rushed onto the shuttle and told we would miss our flight if we didn’t leave immediately. We were not given any receipt or documentation confirming the condition or final charges.
After returning home, we discovered hundreds of dollars in unexpected charges on our credit card—far beyond what we agreed to. We contacted Priceline on March 23 and were told we’d receive a response within 10 business days. It’s now April 15, and we’ve heard nothing. Reaching support involves long hold times and no clear resolution.
This experience has been extremely frustrating and disappointing. Between the unsafe vehicles, lack of documentation, and unexplained charges, I would strongly caution others before booking through this vendor.
Scammers who lied to secure non-refundable deal
Scammers, they advertised Express Offer for $97 which was a blind deal until you do non-refundable payment as 4-stars hotel that normally cost $134 a night.
After the payment has happened the hotel revealed was 3-stars, with the price on their official website $96 per night.
They don't have human agents in support chat, neither a email for support service. With the bot insisting that this is non-refundable and disregarding the request for refund.
Misleading information is a scam.
Booked wrong date
Booked wrong date on an express deal. And I immediately tried to correct it. The hotel even approved the cancellation. But the priceline had 2 suppliers or "booking partners" in between. Kept me on hold and asked me to numerous things to prove that hotel approved it. Which I did, and then they still said they were keeping the money. The hotel actually canceled the charge and reservation on their end. A horrible experience. Priceline wasted several hours of hold and made me do numerous things just to say no again in the end and keep 1000 dollars of mine. They said it was final and nothing they can do. I have several complaints here including the fact that the hotel approved it, and then they kept me on hold and had me jump through numerous hoops.
Horrible experience. Beware of communicating or interacting with pricline
Priceline is a greedy
Priceline is a greedy, unapologetic company that takes advantage of people. I accidentally booked the wrong dates for my hotel - 1 week early. I noticed immediately and tried to change it. I was on the phone with them for 2 hours. The hotel was totally fine with it. Priceline would NOT change my reservation and KEPT my $1000. They are awful. I would have been fine paying a fee or something, but they just kept it all. In a time when the world sucks - priceline sucks right along with it.
I used Priceline to get a lower rate…
I used Priceline to get a lower rate for a rental car for my 85 yr old husband for a week, specifically requesting pickup & drop off location as Bend, OR. Throughout the process there was NO indication that the pickup location had changed to Redmond, OR - 30 miles away. I paid with a credit card, and only then learned that the reservation was not able to be canceled and that it was out of Redmond. My husband will have no way to pick up or return the car. They only give a courtesy transport within 10 miles of their airport location. I was able to call the car rental company at the airport. Turns out it was Hertz who stands behind their service. They thankfully canceled my reservation, and I will dispute the Priceline charges through my credit card company. I WILL NEVER USE ANY PRICELINE OFFER OR PRODUCT EVER AGAIN AND ENCOURAGE OTHERS TO DO THE SAME. This is a sleezy, sneaky, deceptive company and needs reigning in on its underhanded manner of failing to disclose every piece of relevant information for their transactions.
Nightmare trying to change a flight time just a few hours after ticket purchase
I booked a flight with 1 night’s hotel with Priceline for an amazingly low price—Fresno to Santa Barbara, Ca. Within 2 hours I saw there was a mistake in my departing flight time (Not sure whose fault) I tried to correct the flight on line (their website said I could) but that didn’t work. I called customer service (30 minute wait time) and was told they could adjust the flight time, then after re-routing me to 3 other people Priceline said I’d have to cancel the entire booking and start over. So I started over, found the same excellent deal, and just as I was finalizing the reservation up came a prompt showing me the Priceline price for the package had doubled. I gave up and used United airline miles for my flight and Hotels.com for the hotel. The next morning I checked Priceline and the package they tried to double the price on me in the middle of the previous night’s booking was now back to the original bargain price. What a racket. No help with customer service and then some computer algorithm sees me trying to book the same package and doubles its rate. To be fair I hadn’t had a problem with Priceline before on the few times I used them.
best customer service
