Disappointing booking experience and unclear extra charges
I booked a hotel through Priceline and had a disappointing experience.
When I made the reservation, I entered two children as part of the booking. However, when we arrived at the hotel, we were asked to pay an additional charge for the kids. I understand hotels can have their own policies, but this should have been made much clearer during the booking process so there were no surprises at check-in.
The room and stay were also below expectations. The standard room did not have a window that could be opened, which made it feel uncomfortable. The hotel was very crowded, the food was not good, and some plates did not look properly clean. We also had a bathroom drainage issue and had to contact the hotel to fix it.
my main frustration is that Priceline’s booking page did not make the total cost and room conditions clear enough before payment. For a family booking, I expected better transparency.
when I contacted priceline on the phone they promised me to fix the issue but they never got back to me or fixed it.
Priceline: Absolutely terrible customer service
Priceline: I pulled the drop-down for the booking date. It popped back to the date on site as before I booked. I didn’t realize it until after I booked it so I was a day off in my booking. Well Priceline won’t change the date and I had to call the hotel to see if they changed the date. There’s really no customer service with Priceline. My suggestion don’t book with Priceline. Absolutely terrible. You can barely understand anything they say I have no idea what country they’re from but they’re English undecipherable.

I contacted this company after I received news of family emergency
I contacted this company after I was notified of a family emergency. I contacted the airline at Southwest told them what it happened. They said not a problem they canceled. My flight said to get a hold of Priceline for a refund I contacted Priceline told them what happened? What’s going on. From the very beginning, they were very degrading very disrespectful and when I asked to speak to a supervisor, I was threatened to be hung up on multiple times.
They ended up saying it is Southwest who is the one who controls the money, not them, then said to contact Xcover whom the Insurance is with. And told me multiple times they had canceled a flight but Priceline never did. I continue to get emails notifying me that my plane is taking off that my plane is scheduled and on time and also that my plane is returning on time and refused to speak with me further.
My husband had a medical emergency and…
My husband had a medical emergency and needed surgery immediately our trip was cancelled. All the other companies we worked with us were so accommodating and understanding airline companies and two other hotels. Priceline would not accommodate on modifying our dates kept blaming third party booking company. I even spoke to the hotel that we had the reservation and they would accommodate us but had to be done through priceline. They even said to give them pushback. This was a medical emergency. Every one I spoke with would give the run around and pass me to someone else and made me feel like as a customer I was the problem. I even sent paperwork to them with all the medical information. I can’t believe a company would treat a customer in this manner.
PRICELINE profit come before customer satisfaction

THE HOTEL DID NIT ADDRESS EXCEPT OFFER ME ANOTHER ROOM AT 12:30 at night . I had to move and gather my belongings had trouble resuming my sleep . Priceline and the hotel did not fill necessary to adjust my room charge . The hotel stated that I needed to work thru Priceline . PRICELINE COUKD NIT GET HITEK TI ASHUST MY BILL SO THEY SAID Sorry . I have used Priceline many times but when you have an issue “ Good Luck “ .

We booked a car from Ace car rental
Our pickup time was at noon but our flight didnt get in until 4pm and we tried to change the time online without luck. We called Ace and Priceline to change time, neither could help. So when we got to Ace, our car was no longer available
UNACCEPTABLE
Total scam!
If I could give zero stars I would. By far the worst hotel booking experience ever. This is nothing but a scam! They disguise themselves as whatever hotel you are booking for and show up as the first five or so hits on any search you do. To even discover you are dealing with Priceline later on when there is a problem takes jumping through hoops. The hotel showed it as Expedia on their end, but it was not. I have had over 30 email exchanges with them regarding cancellation on a booking in March. We requested to move our dates due to being ill. They stated that the hotel needed a doctors note which I provided. In fact, I provided it eight times per specific attachment requirements and runaround. They claimed they could never open it. When I contacted the hotel directly, they had no such requirement for a refund. The hotel stated if I would rebook my stay and spend more than $1000 like I had with the original booking they would refund my original booking if Priceline agreed to do it as well. Priceline responded saying they needed a note from the hotel attached in PDF format, just like my doctors note. They play a huge game to wear you down until you are exhausted and give up. beware of booking any hotel accommodations that start with “guestservices@…..”
Also, check out their ratings on the Better Business Bureau. They are a one star with over 6000 complaints similar to mine.
No refund. Priceline does not protect their customers
I used their AI Penny to cancel a reservation. Penny assured me that I would get a refund. I also purchased insurance. Due to weather and a bridge closure, I had to cancel. I received no refund except for the insurance premium. I am no longer able to submit a claim because they refunded the insurance. Calling has done no good. They don't take direct responsibility, but instead transfers me to Booking.com where all agents say there is nothing they can do. One agent actually hung up on me. This is the worst customer service I have ever encountered. If I wanted to purchase through Booking.com, I would have. I purchased through Priceline, thinking it was reputable. I was wrong.
I arrived at the car pickup point late
I arrived at the car pickup point late. Europcar couldn't give me a car, and they said that the reservation was automatically cancelled and refunded, but no. Priceline won't refund even though I couldn't do anything about it. I lost €500; be careful with this website.
Extremely disappointed with Priceline’s…
Extremely disappointed with Priceline’s handling of my recent car rental issue.
After being clearly misled by Oto Q—reservation not honored, refusal to accept valid insurance, and unexpected fees—I reached out to Priceline expecting some level of customer support or accountability. Instead, they completely failed to advocate for me as their customer.
Despite explaining the situation in detail, Priceline essentially sided with the rental company and offered no meaningful resolution. No effort to investigate, no attempt to make things right—just a frustrating runaround that left me stuck paying for a service that was not delivered as promised.
When you book through a third party, you expect at least some level of protection. Unfortunately, Priceline did not stand behind the booking at all. I will not be using them in the future.
Questionable conduct
I wish I had checked out Priceline on Trustpilot BEFORE using their portal to book a hotel in NYC, three months ago. I assumed the booking portal featuring the hotel was a bona fide operation so I went on to pay, upfront, for a so called “fully guaranteed” booking.
On the morning of our trip I received an urgent email from Priceline or their agents (the ID of the sender was unclear). The email stated that the hotel I had booked was “sold out” and that it could not accommodate us. The email also offered alternative but lesser accommodation in NYC. Fortunately, I immediately suspected irregular activity so on arrival in the city we went to the hotel only to discover that, unknown to us, our booking was cancelled the day before we were scheduled to check in. Also I discovered it was an egregious misrepresentation to assert in the email that the hotel was “sold out”.
I was readily accommodated by the hotel and paid again, this time directly to the hotel. At that point I sent an email to Priceline insisting on a refund. My refund came through promptly but I now have reason to question if that would have happened had I not paid via my credit card and, consequently, I had an assured remedy from the credit card company via its dispute procedure.
I will NEVER use Priceline again, for anything.

Monty thank you so much for helping me out with booking My daughter's trip. Thank you for your patience and giving me a piece of mind that her flight is nonstop.

The site is Deceptive making you think you are booking directly with the hotel, but you are not. Okay I could forgive that, but when they charge a Service Fee of a $100. Plus the reg. room fee and then additional taxes and fees. It's Robbery. Oh yes then they tell that they give that fee to the hotel to book the room. That is a bunch of crap. They are keeping it.
Pet friendly hotel…
I booked a room in a pet friendly hotel in Flagstaff. When I arrived I was told that the dog costs $ 100.00 a night. I tried to cancel the room, but that was impossible, because Priceline doesn't accept cancelations, not in
1 hour!
Why can't you find this on Priceline as long as you are booking and not when Priceline has your credit card?
Why isn't there a note regarding the costs for a dog?
I will not use Priceline again. That's robbery.

I bought trip insurance and injured my shoulder, but I tried to cancel the trip and after numerous emails and phone calls I will lose my entire payment! I will never use Priceline again.
Never buy a pig in a poke
Never buy a pig in a poke
Priceline never checks the hotels that they represent. I stayed at a hotel in Lake Jackson Tx. I had happened to stay there a year earlier. It was near the worst hotel that I have ever stayed at. At that stay the pool was green, fitness room shut down, it was raining and they had buckets all through the hallways. The carpets in the hallways were tore up exposed tile was a trip hazard. I fought cockroaches in the bathroom and near the refrigerator. The elevator could only handle a capacity of two people. It was terribly old and run down. Yet Priceline gave it a three stars on its rating? It is called Clarion Point of Lake Jackson. Do not stay there at any price. That owner knows he is committing fraud. A year later is when Priceline gave me that nightmare of a hotel.
Not worth it
They told me the hotel only had 1 room left which was a total lie! So they did not give me a military discount & later on after I had already paid I got an another surprise $50.00 charge for my dog. It would have been cheaper to just walk into the hotel & book
Book yourself
We attempted to use priceline when we booked a flight. They never sent a email confirmation. So I didn't know if the booking went through or not. I made alternate plans, and they never redeemed my fee....
