Great interface so you can see how much energy is coming in and match your use of car charging/washing machine use to solar energy coming in. Battery is exterior and modular and looks nice and sleek.... See more

Our installation of solar panels, heat pump and battery is working to my expectations.
I logged a fault with our system in October. Other than the automated response, I heard nothing. I have chased them up many times, as has our dealer and they will not even respond.
I found out later that they had gone into administration, but this leaves me with an expensive piece of kit with a useless ten year warranty. If they even acknowledged me trying to contact me or offer to replace the faulty part for a fee, I could take it, but to be ghosted for 5 months in unacceptable.
Following a power outage we were very impressed with the technical support offered and the care to make sure we had regained the excellent service we have come to expect from these battery units. Very happy customer.
The problem is still not fixed.
We had to replace our P3 with a P5 because the P3 was showing problems. This cost over £5000. The new battery often drops down to a low power mode, or does a software update. This means we have to use expensive electricity from the grid, and also means we cannot export electricity when the price is favourable.
My 20kwh Battery was supplied with the wrong size inverter so it’s not charging enough during the off peak tariff. This means I am losing money everyday. The fault could lay with the installer but I would have thought Powervault would have picked this up and corrected it before supply. It is going to be changed to the correct size but because of the PowerVault takeover this is taking longer than it should.
Do not make the mistake of installing a battery outside. Cold weather less than 3 degrees adversely affects it and again the way it performs to protect itself will cost you money!
I’m waiting for all this to be put right.
The overall performance once the correct size inverter is fitted I’m sure I’ll be happy with.
Very impressive battery system, and the app is very easy and satisfying to usr
Powervault went into administration in Nov 2025. There is talk of them possibly restructuring and setting up a new entity called Powervault Plus Ltd - but beware for now as there's no guarantee they'll continue trading under this name or able to provide support for any new products.
Everything works as expected, but the electricity companies don't connect to smart meters in remote locations. The connection system uses dark ages technology in the 21st century. Current systems are not fit for purpose.
In an Internet world connection shouldn't be an issue.
Quality product with easy to use app to monitor usage and battery charge. Immediate response and proactive in resolving queries.
I've just found out they have gone into administration. Which means those of us that have invested £1,000s into these systems:
*Have lost our warranty
*Have no support if there is a fault.
*Will lose the software which we use to control our systems
Basically, we will have a great big lump of technology sitting in our homes which we will not be able to use.
The administrators, are likely be only interested in getting their fees and (if there is any money left) paying off creditors. They are not going to be interested in helping poor customers try and keep their systems running.
One of the deciding factors in me choosing Powervault was that they were British. It seems this and previous Governments aren't interested in UK manufacturing at all. What a shame, we used to be so good when we were a manufacturing country - now we have to buy Chinese with all the negative connotations that carries.
Powervault provide an innovative product range including a Gateway unit meaning your battery will run in the event of a grid power cut. I’m happy!
Great product - best to have an ethernet connection to it. Otherwise it is simple to use and clever.
Our 20kw system fitted in October has been a brillant experiance all round. Superb help when required from the team, with a direct line when needed, (once).
Good portal for monitoring system.
Made in Britain is a big plus for me. I ordered it it came on time was fitted by some very capable lads and works ok can’t ask any more than that
Not sure about great experience. Still trying to learn about settings as some it terminology is confusing and foreign to me. However the system appears to work. Just waiting for a power cut to see if the gateway works.
Expecting electrician today to repair Powervault. They didn't arrived so I phoned Powervault.
Answerphone message says they've gone into administration.
I have had a good experience with Trustpilot using their P3 battery for three years.
Recently I took advantage of their offer to upgrade to the newer P5 range, including an extra 4kwh of capacity, which has been a revelation.
The unit itself uses much less power, which creates a noticeable saving. It charges much more quickly. The discharge is pretty much the full theoretical capacity, whereas the P3 only achieved this under ideal conditions. Finally, the unit is installed outside the house, rather than inside - a big advantage.
All in all, a very good experience.
Had Powervault batteries in '23 as a separate addition to our solar panels and these have been working well with one minor problem that was quickly diagnosed and resolved.
Now have another problem that Powervault have not responded too, and now don't answer phones or reply to e-mails.
A little investigation has shown Powervault to be in administration (21/11/25).
Maybe they'll get through this and resume their normal great service but in the meantime I've got thousands of pounds of equipment doing nothing.
Anyone know an engineer?
Having the inverter and the battery combined in a single unit is great, particularly when sited inside the house. The display light strip gives an immediate indication of the operational status, and the comprehensive app allows the system to be monitored in detail from anywhere with internet access.
Addition of a battery, gateway unit (auto switching for power cuts) and a Zappi EV charger were all completed in one day as planned. The installation is neat, and mess free.
Having now switched to an EV tariff we only use off peak rate from the grid from midnight until 5 am. The battery is a 15 kW one and easily supplies our needs for the rest of the day.
