Plastic Ham

400g 'Square Ham' a bargain?
I think not.
Ingredients state '90%' pork, which is true, but what they don't state is that most of the pork content is not meat, but rendered down collagen from bones, cartlidge, skin, etc.
Absolutely foul, even the cat wouldn't touch it.

Unfortunately today

Unfortunately today, after shopping in stocktons poundland, I felt rushed..the staff need training on how to treat disabled customers. They treat them like a virus. It's disgusting.

Why am I being charged over £12…

Why am I being charged over £12 delivery to the Isle of Wight when it is £3.95 to the mainland??
IOW is part of the mainland not the back of beyond and most companies charge mainland rate to send goods here.
Someone needs to get up to speed with the geography.

I ordered with Poundland online about 3…

I ordered with Poundland online about 3 weeks ago thinking they would arrive straight away, wrong. I waited and one part of the order arrived with loads of missing items. I contacted them and they sorted it out and sent me a partial refund, I then had an email to say the other order is on the way.

This week my order came without yet something else, I contacted them and fair play I received an email back within 5 minutes. I asked for a partial refund and got it.

I have no issues with customer services as they have been fabulous. My issues are with ordering online, if an item is sold out why doesn’t it say so? It’s so annoying when it doesn’t arrive without any explanation other than me contacting them.

When I order online, I expect it to come back on time unless they contact me to say it’s unavailable and not sort it all out myself.

Excuse the rant but I’m annoyed and impatient!

Bare root rose plant not as described

I bought a bare root purple bush garden rose plant at Poundland 2 years ago, cost was £2. After 2 years, it has 2 flowers this spring for the first time.

However, it is so disappointing that the flower is white and wild rose only, which had only single layer of petal, completely different from the picture of box.

I contacted Poundland to ask checking the reliability of the rose source. It just said they cannot refund after 2 years and they do not have similar report, which is considered as rare case.

It is after 2 years' growing that I can find out the colour and appearance of the flowers. It is unfair to all customers to buy products that are not as described.

So I really want to warn those planning to buy these bare root plants at Poundland, DON'T BUY THEM! You will be cheated.

Next Day Delivery (NOT)

How poundland get away with offering next day delivery but mostly never deliver the next day. I done an order on 24th April to be delivered on the 25th. Just asked them for the tracking number as I received no email. They sent the tracking number and at 2:45 pm on the 25th the parcel has not even been collected yet so definitely not coming today. This is at least the 4th time I have used next day delivery for it not to be delivered the next day. Customer service doesn't care they just respond with sorry it is late again. They should be stopped from offering next day delivery and either charging for it or getting you to spend more to get free next day delivery and having no intentions of delivering next day.

I went to Poundland today 24th April…

I went to Poundland today 24th April 2025 in the afternoon.
It was extremely busy especially on the self service machines , I then witnessed a woman approach a member of staff , don't know her name (staff member) but she was short with blonde hair ,excellent communication skills and so bubbly and happy serving a gentleman who was holding the queue up , who appeared to have special needs.I maybe wrong however she was joking with him but so pleasant and happy to help and in a joking manner said go on now I'm too busy and he laughed and off he went . I then witnessed a lady come right into the staff members face , verbally abusing her telling her how rude she was to this gentleman with obvious needs.
The staff member (sorry don't know her name) handled it well but it was so uncalled for she didn't do anything wrong . I was close to hear but too far away to intervene otherwise I would've done but the queues were huge and I didn't want people thinking I was pushing in but I really wanted to say something because that woman was out of order it was obvious it was done in a kind way and they had a good relationship!
I could see how upset and deflated this staff member was and to be honest I have a been a few times and this staff member makes my day she's so funny and happy !
I just feel I need to defend this staff member because she genuinely did nothing wrong and that lady was so rude !!!!! You need more staff like her !!!!
Please let her know about this review and I bet she makes a lot of peoples day to be honest !

Worst Employer

Mother was employed since 2008 and hoped to retire with them.
Local Manager started ageist comments two years ago, and pressurised her to resign.
No support or suitable advice given other than to resign.
HR department didn't care upon complaint.

I'm 76, visually impaired, no sympathy

I'm 76 years old and visually impaired. I've been ill and walked down to Poundland in Cheltenham yesterday for a bottle of milk. There was only one bottle left, datestamped today. When I got home 40 minutes later I found it was off. Poundland wanted me to return it and get a new purchase but offered no compensation. They demanded a receipt (who keeps a receipt for £1).

Staff need training as they have no idea what is in the stock!
I wanted a new cable for my phone I asked the cashier if they had a cable for my phone she said they don't have such cable in the store!
This wasn't true as a customer in the store showed me a cable that can be used for my phone!
I wonder how they can hire incompetent staff?

I am sick of going into Poundland and having to use the self service checkout
Firstly I DONT work for them so WHY should I have to do their job for them
Secondly trying to scam people into paying for a “ bag for life”
Thirdly and this really rips my knitting asking for a
“ charity “ donation this company makes millions per annum let them give to “ charity” !
NO ONE gives to pensioners so my answer is Always NO !
There is a cost of living problem people are struggling to pay their bills and feed their families
