If there is less than 1 i would give.
Worst delivery, first they give you half missed call (apparently i was the only one got a call) i called back in 2 minutes he shouted at me and hung up ?!?!
I called their customer support and she said : well they are in Hungary they are not supposed to speak English (so is it ok to shout and hung up?) then i asked her to call him as he must be in the area still she said : NOT MY JOB !!!! , and asked me to end the call as there is high que (many calls) after me . WHAT KIND OF SERVICE IS THIS?!?!?!?!?!
I hope they close it one day

The worst company ever! I regularly order items from abroad, and magyar posta steals my packages all the time. As soon as the packages get handed over to them, they are lost forever, and they won't accept any responsibility.

I bought something from TEMU, it was sent and received by Magyar Posta, the tracking shows that it was deliver, but to who? As I not received nothing, no sms, no call...
I guess someone is very happy to received a free present...

Disaster. I wasn't notified in any way that my packages arrived, and they did not even ATTEMPT DELIVERY. They sent everything back without notifying me - I had to go to one of their locations, where unhelpful and disrespectful staff notified me that my packages are on their way back. Avoid at any cost. Btw I'm Hungarian and basically all Hungarians think that this company is the worst lol.

This is the worst postal office ever. They sent back my package to the sending country without even notifying me to go and receive it. They are completely unethical and have no right to deal with customer's items on their own will. They are commercial and send back packages on purpose to gain more money from customers. Avoid Magyar posta no matter what! This postal office should be closed in Hungary

They charge for everything. The package worth less than the charge itself. Worthless piece of junk they are! It should be illegal what they're doing. Hungarian robbers and their government is the same. Why aren't these people not rot in jails already?

Systemic dysfunction unlike any other. Over the past year of living in Hungary I have consistently observed: None of my regular packages or mail is ever delivered to my address, despite the fact that I work from home. No delivery attempt is ever made. I have spent considerable time attempting to locate my personal mail. Futhermore, the local Posta office charges a 'holding fee' for each pick up, clearly a revenue raising exercise. Larger packages go straight to the main depot in Budapest, where one has to navigate extremely rude and unhelpful staff in an attempt to locate (and pay for) ones own property. The greatest extortion of all must be the fact that Magyar Posta charge duty on the postal amount that was paid for (including tax) in the country of origin! Any delivery from outside the EU is charged duty. In one case, my parents sent some of my second hand clothes from New Zealand. Magyar Posta charged me EUR80 to retrieve them from the postal depot, despite the hefty shipping fee and taxes that my parents paid for it to be express delivered to my home address. No delivery attempt was ever made. Nor was my contact phone number reached. I appreciate that workers are barely paid a living wage and clearly not respected within this organisation. Clearly there is no incentive for anyone to learn basic English to service the many foreigners living in Budapest. The fault lies with the management of this blatantly corrupt and dysfunctional company.

Horrible!
Sent a package to my father for Christmas from the UK and they charged me high customs. It was a pint glass only in a secured box, but I nearly paid as much customs as the glass worth. 🙄
The worst part was, that they didn't even take it to his house address, instead they just sent an email to ask him to pick it up.. Nice surprise.. (here's my tracking number Magyar Posta LO202793060GB)
This is probably the last time to send package with them!

I got a gift package from my sister from Canada. She paid double for shipping to make sure we will get in time. Was some candies for my kids that we cannot find in Hungary. She stated on the mini parcel it is a GIFT Worth maybe $20. She paid $75 to ship here . The Magyar Posta charged $30 for taxes on the shipping service that was paid and TAXED in Canada. This called highway robbery. I made aclaim, they said will respond in 30 days but the parcel sitting at the post office and will be sent back in 20 days, How convenient!!! Anyway I do not understand how can they double tax for a service issued and paid in Canada. Needless to say no customer service number, the online complain is worth nothing cause they wont respond.

Horrible experience.

They're not only rude, slow and incompetent, but their customer service is one of the worst I've ever experienced. And I'm Hungarian, so can't imagine what it's like to be dealing with them for someone who doesn't even speak the same language. MP is very far from European standards, but what's even worse is that they couldn't care less. Avoid them at all costs, if you have other options.

The most disgusting and inept company I have ever had the misfortune to deal with. An important letter was posted from the UK with International Tracked and Signed for which the Magyar Posta held onto for four days, didn't even attempt to deliver it, and then allegedly, they have returned it to sender. In spite of many requests they are refusing to supply a tracking number to enable me to see its location. Pathetic customer service, inflexible and unhelpful. AVOID THIS COMPANY AT ANY COST! Even their own employees's reviews state widespread exploitation and incompetent management.

I ordered from China, Magyar Posta
was the "middle man" to get my package to my country .They wrote my address incorrectly and my package was returned to China.When I contacted them, they were clearly unwilling to help.

Super slow ignorant people.1 month minimum if you lucky.

A basic small letter from Hungary to the United Kingdom takes 3 weeks for them
With £10 priority fees. Ridiculous, poor- poor service.

A real disaster, they say that they have come to the house 2 times to deliver a shipment and I was at home all the time and they leave a notice that I go to the office to look for it and then in the office they cannot find the package. In the end I have obtained my package after 1 week claiming.

Tracking was incomplete and inaccurate. I haven't got any notification on my shipment until it has been returned to the sender. After that I tried to claim it back twice on the phone, once in person, but nothing happened. I haven't received my shimpment and Magyar Posta haven't taken responsibility for this.

This is the worst service ever... Simply ridiculous, very expensive , extremely slow... I used to order parcels from China, what I receive within 3-5 !!!!!! DAYS!!!!! From Hungary..a letter with tracking I do not know how long,, but after 14 DAYS!!!! it is still in Hungary... Nightmare, I am peachless.

The worst and slowest service I had ever used. I sent an envelope size package, with priority, and it's been 2 weeks and the package it's still in Hungary.
Last year, my package got lost and nobody could provide an answer. This is the last time I used this service.

They asked me to come to the postoffice in stead of deliver it home.
I went there.
They tried to handle me a ruined package containing my new plates. ( see my profile photo) I refused if course.

I had to wait for 2 hours and let the police come before the lady agreed to write a document that she let me paying for the package before she showed it to me, (although she already knew the storage was damaged)

Not the first bad bad bad experience with delivery of courier goods by Magyar Posta.

Sent a small parcel (less than 1 kg) to Hungary from UK, after 1 month, it is still waiting customs clearance, but they sent a letter to the receiver to reply what is in the box. I did attached all the details with contents, value, etc. to the box in english, but they needed a hungarian one, because they can not translate it LOL. It is 2021 just to let you know. Very poor and slow service. Never use it again and advise everyone to avoid it at all cost!
